Pros:

odorless, rinses clean, gentle, BP, cheap

Cons:

The bar gets slimy after a while:)

I love it. Whether or not it is what is helping my skin, I trust the soap because it doesn't burn though it has BP. Moisturize.

Pros:

Clears skin fast
Does not burn/cause excessive drying
Does not smell
Inexpensive

Cons:

None yet!

This has been by far the most effective acne treatment I've ever used! My acne cleared slightly when I was on birth control, but after coming off it's gotten much worse. After using this for just 4 days 1-2 times a day I've already seen a big improvement. I have no new breakouts, blackheads and redness are both gone, and pimples are shrinking. I had been using a face mask with 3.5% BP, but it was not doing much at all for me. This has not caused drying for me like others have reported, but I still apply a moisturizer after using PanOxyl. My skin is not very oily to begin with, but not dry either.

Pros:

I really like the product. I have had only one pimple since I started using this product. I am really oily and have not experienced the drying that I have read in the other reviews.

Cons:

None

I have been using this product for two weeks. My doctor said to make sure to wear a sunscreen while using the product. FYI I am an African American female.

Only product that really works for me. Glad to see it back on store shelves. Before you take any prescription medication for acne, give this product a try.

Pros:

IT WORKS

Cons:

It drys the skin out bad

This product is good. Its strong, be careful if you have sensitive skin but it will dry it out. But it did really help clear my acne up! I have used it a couple times and had to stop because it dried my skin too mad. However, I think it you use a good moisturizer you could be good!

Unexpected Miracle
I had used it all, heard of it all. I was 12 when I started breaking out and had been suffering with moderate acne for years. I used Proactiv only to break out even more. I used birth control pills, various creams recommended by the dermatologist, oral medications, and many face washes. Neutrogena face washes did work for a while, but I always relapsed after a while of using it. I went to the dermatologist a few months ago, excepting the same old diagnosis and treatment. I didn't think much of Panoxyl, thinking it was just like every other soap I had been recommended. After just a week of use, my face was clearing up more than it had ever cleared up using various products at once. Now I am completely clear after years of struggling thanks to one sole product I hadn't thought much of. I am still left with acne scars, but this soap definitely did the trick for the acne itself. GIVE IT A CHANCE!

A savior
I went to see a dermatologist after spending much time and money on various products and methods. I tried everything under the sun including ProActiv +. Proactiv + worked on my face but did absolutely nothing on my chest and back. I even tried the Proactiv body wash and the cystic acne just laughed at me and spread. I finally went to see a dermatologist and he told me that the back acne and chest acne I have is rooted too deep for topical stuff to really address. He put me on minocycline anti-biotic and told me to use PanOxyl bar on my chest and back. I really don't know which helped the most, but this double barreled treatment method worked for me. I was really down in the dumps because it sucked not wanting to be seen with my shirt off out in the sun. This combo helped me a lot mentally and physically as odd as that may sound.

Pros:

My skin is now totally clear!! :)

Cons:

Can leave a bit of dry skin, but not a big deal. BP is also not great to get hooked on, but I'm currently weaning myself off

This stuff works; it's the only thing I always go back to. After horrendous results with Benzaclin and Tazorac (my brother asked if I had "chicken pox" on my face, my acne was absolutely outrageous), I started a regime with the PanOxyl bar. I am now so clear that today I could have gone w/o makeup; only a bit of concealer on some past scars. Here's my regime: 1. Wash in the morning with Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (it rinses clearer than the original kind). 2. Wash again in the afternoon w/ Cetaphil 3. Use St. Ives Microdermabrasion crystal scrub every other night for scars and dry spots. 4. Follow with PanOxyl bar (every night) 5. Apply Clean and Clear acne fighting moisturizer (I also started birth control a few months ago; my acne is from hormonal imbalance) Keep in mind my skin is VERY oily, if yours isn't it could be easily irritated. I'm starting to cut back on the PanOxyl and use the Cetaphil instead at night. My skin FINALLY looks perfect again; it

Pros:

Works fast!

Cons:

Dries your skin the first couple of uses

I used the cream wash on my back and within the first week my back was clear! It really worked. It's best to use a good lotion like Cetaphil if your going out. But I really like this product for my back. I felt so confident. I wore a halter. But it works alright on the face. Not the best cleanser for the face but does wonders on your back for some reason.

Pros:

its clearing up my face acne and chest acne

Cons:

skin is just alittle dry

PanOxyl works pretty good so far. I have tried hundreds of products from proactive to prescription medications and none of that has worked. Last week I picked this product up and started washing my face morning and night and started to see clearer skin, less acne, and the dark spots on my skin is starting to fade! I would absolutely recommend this product for African- American skin who has trouble with ridding dark spots. Should follow up with a light moisturizer.
