Pros:

Covers everything
Heals acne?? ( a little bit)

Cons:

Need to wash makeup brush a lot
expensive

This is probably the best makeup for acne-prone skin. It is completely non-comedogenic, and I feel like it actually improved my skin condition and dried up some pimples. Also, I noticed that sometimes I come back really drunk and don't feel like washing my face and i go to bed, it doesn't mess up my skin like other makeups did by leaving it on over night.

Pros:

-Covers acne relatively well.
-Gives skin a nice "glowing" appearance.
-Healthier for your skin when compared to some other make-up brands.

Cons:

-Does not do the best job with controlling oil.
-Expensive.

If you do buy bare minerals, make sure you get the "matte" foundation...not only is it better with controlling shine but it does not contain 'bismuth' which may cause some people with sensitive skin to break out. Plus it has SPF 15...an added bonus!

Pros:

great coverage
sunscreen
lightweight

Cons:

does NOT control oil
can look "caked" on

I like how the powder is very finely ground but as an oily skin type it does not control oil at all, It made my skin super dewy, which I personally don't like. I perfer a matte finish,

Pros:

I love the "dewy" look, when I apply it to a face full of Jojoba Oil

Quick and easy, non streaky

Extremely universal

Cons:

IT BROKE ME OUT!

can make you look dusty

coverage is less than I needed

I have used this product for 2+ years after I became pregnant. I started to break out really bad, and blamed it on my hormones and thought "wow, it's a good thing I got this Makeup to hide it!" little did I know, it was the culprit. It is a tremendous makeup, but only if you don't have sensitive skin. I found my skin dried out, became itchy and irritated, and I was left with nodules and scars after leaving it in the dust. I hear it was the Bismuth in the makeup that some ppl are sensitive to. I will miss it, but it just wasn't for me.

Pros:

Covers acne scarring, redness WONDERFULLY

Cons:

Made me break out worse than i have ever broken out in my life.

Will not use any longer. I have been told by 2 different dermatologists that If you have sensitive skin bismuth, a by product of some metals and an ingredient in this product, can make acne worse. In my case it caused severe acne! There is a natural organic mineral makeup called "afterglow" that does not contain bismuth. Afterglow is about the same price as bare escentuals and they have a much larger color selection. Afterglow is available for purchase online. It is hard to find an actual store that carries it, but well worth seeking it out! Since switching to the mineral makeup without bismuth my acne has cleared.

Pros:

-doesn't feel thick on my face
-it really does cover my blemishes well (with concealer brush)
-looks much more natural than other makeup
-lasts most of the day when i use the mineral veil on top
-doesn't seem to make my skin worse
-some stores will apply it on you for free to see if you like it and to find the right color
-i've gotten compliments on my skin since using bare minerals :)

Cons:

-expensive at first when you have to buy the brushes and mineral veil (i suggest getting the starter kit)
-can get messy on your sink. (putting toilet paper underneath helps)

i love this stuff!!

Pros:

-will not make you break out
-buildable coverage
-looks natural
-one container will last you probably two months if you use it as your primary foundation daily

Cons:

-unless you buy the new "matte finish" foundation you will be shiny and somewhat glittery
-doesn't last all day
-can be messy, but if you simply put a tissue down on your sink or counter and don't go crazy, you'll be fine, it's really not that hard.

I use this product every day as an under eye concealer and as a concealer for spots because (if used properly) it will fully cover any problem area. Before you use their "swirl, tap, buff" method, either buy their concealer brush for under eyes and blemishes or simply use your clean finger. Pour a small ammount into the lid and dab your finger into it and put it over your blemish or scar and rub it in. You'll never know there was anything there- and neither will anyone else.

Pros:

covers well, feels light, color matches perfectly, doesnt make me break out, lasts a long time

Cons:

expensive, takes a few minutes for coverage

a lot of people dont know how to use it correctly and then complain that it doesnt cover well...if you follow the directions precisely and use a concealer brush to even cover the largest of areas, the scars are a lot less noticeable. also, what made a lot of people break out from it (myself included) is the bismuth in the original formula. this was the ingredient that made it shine and shimmer. the new matte formula does not have this ingredient and therefore eliminates the breakouts. with the originial, i didnt have big breakouts but more like tiny bumps that i felt alofn my forehead and cheek bone. these bumps could mainly be visible when i tilted my head in the light, and could be felt when i washed my face. however, since i started using the matte, they have been going away and now new breakouts as of yet. the brushes that come with it are also great. i have reallyy sensitive dry skin when i first applied it, it did feel dry. but as the day progresses, it kind of matches with ur skin type and now my face doesnt feel dry at all and i havent applied any extra moisturizer on top. basically, give it a try before you totally give up on it!
