Pros:

natural looking
feels like your bare skin

I've used bareminerals for over 6 years now, and it's the best makeup I've ever worn. I wear makeup on a regular basis, and this is the only makeup that I've used that feels like I have nothing on my skin. Liquid makeup feels like a mask, and other powders give so little coverage that you have to cake it on to look flawless. In my opinion, bareminerals is best for people that have very light to light/moderate acne and want a flawless finish to their skin. I have mild acne and this makeup does the trick. If you are looking for a makeup that will cover cystic or moderate/severe acne, this will not cover every flaw, but it feels very silky.

Pros:

- Being a teenager with crazy hormones, this and my proactive keep my skin in great condition.
- Minimizes my pores and covers acne scars
-Feels lights
- Easy to touch up later in the day.

Cons:

- Kind of smears and clumps up around my nose after a bit, but touch up fixes that right up.
- Really difficult to get the leftovers at the very bottom. Once you get the bottom off to get it all- it could fall out at any moment again. It happened in my purse, and eventually just had to tape it up.

Skin-friendly, easy touch up, and hard to get leftovers. Pros outweigh cons for me.

Pros:

- It didn't make me break out
- Super easy to apply!
- Easy to build up
- Skin doesn't absorb it
- Control the oil on a 80%
- Doesn't dry skin
- Great if u need a quick retouch

Cons:

- Quite pricey but worth every cent.
- Is very difficult to get out the lefts of the jar
- you need a good quality kabuki brush to get the best results... and a good kabuki cost a leg!

I work on a health clinic at the reception so I need to look my best. I have tried hundreds of different foundations and this one is the best of all. I recommend this to everyone I know no matter if they have acne or not. I got many red scars on my cheeks and this foundation is enough to cover them, some times I need to use concealer to cover a pimple. I recommend to moisturize your skin and wait until is fully absorbed before apply the foundation, otherwise you will get a mess in your skin and ruin your kabuki brush.

Pros:

Awesome coverage (especially when using a small, more concentrated brush)
bare-feeling (but really only when you first brush it on)

Cons:

expensive ($35
makes the skin slick after a few hours, but dry in other places
rubs off way too easily

I've used this product for forever it seems, but just this summer (and after checkin out other reviews) I've realized this hasn't helped much, if at all. I realized it just recently because this summer I spent days at a time without foundation on, helping my skin breathe SO MUCH! And when I started using this again, I realized it really made my skin unappealing. Hugging my friends, it would rub onto their clothing, even if I barely brushed their shoulder! It also seems to sink into my skin show my blemishes again by the end of a school day. I do not know why I'm just starting to believe this; I think it's because I wanted so badly to love the product, both because of hype, and because of price! I would both recommend and not because I do believe people who have LIGHT or no acne would love this product, but for light-moderate to severe acne, I don't believe this will help you. I'm now stuck in rutt for a foundation though!

Pros:

-will not make you break out
-buildable coverage
-looks natural
-one container will last you probably two months if you use it as your primary foundation daily

Cons:

-unless you buy the new "matte finish" foundation you will be shiny and somewhat glittery
-doesn't last all day
-can be messy, but if you simply put a tissue down on your sink or counter and don't go crazy, you'll be fine, it's really not that hard.

I use this product every day as an under eye concealer and as a concealer for spots because (if used properly) it will fully cover any problem area. Before you use their "swirl, tap, buff" method, either buy their concealer brush for under eyes and blemishes or simply use your clean finger. Pour a small ammount into the lid and dab your finger into it and put it over your blemish or scar and rub it in. You'll never know there was anything there- and neither will anyone else.

Pros:

EVERYTHING!!!!!

Cons:

Wish there was a Sephora closer to where I live...

I prefer the Matte powder. I have noticed a MAJOR difference in the sheen of my face. I don't know what I would do without this stuff!!!! It's totally worth it!!!!!

Pros:

Great light feel
Matches my skin perfectly

Cons:

I'm breaking out on the side of my face :(

I chose it because of the great things I heard about it. Also, since my skin complexion suffers breakouts at times, they told me it would help improve my skin. I started to breakout more on the side of my face.I just think everybody has different skin and will react differently to it. Try it out. If it's not for you, you should return it. I hope this helps a bit :)

Pros:

very natural

Cons:

wears off quickly
doesn't cover blemishes well
clogs pores
made me break out

I tried this when I first started college and I became a mess. My acne got worse and it just didn't do the job for me. Although my skin felt moisturized and not as dry as when I apply other makeup foundations such as MAC. I feel this didn't do anything good for me. It may be different for others, my only suggestion is you first try it if you're on the fence with it.

Pros:

doesn't feel like you have makeup on. Easy to apply

Cons:

doesn't cover much. Hard to get the right shade. price.

I got the matte version, and while I don't think that I had an increase in acne, it also didn't seem to have the coverage or oil control that I was looking for.

Pros:

-feels a lot lighter and more natural than liquid foundation
-coverage is flexible, can cover light or heavier
-doesn't cause me to break out

Cons:

-will look flaky if your skin is not well moisturized

I am a huge fan of Bare Minerals. I have sensitive skin/rosacea along with my acne and this doesn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts (every other foundation I've tried does). The foundation can look a littly cakey if it's layered on too heavy, but I wouldn't list that as a Con because most foundations will look weird if you over-apply them or apply them wrong. Based on my own experience along with other people's reviews, I would recommend checking out the matte version of this product because the original formula might be too shimmery for those with oily skin and some people are allergic to the bismuth in the original formula.
