Pros:

-Looks like you're not wearing makeup
-matte version helps keep oil at bay
-Primer dries really fast!

Cons:

-Does NOT cover up acne spots!
-Expensive
-Messy

Dan's AHA+ leaves my skin a little pink, and in addition to the acne scars/some acne that I currently have, Bare Escentuals just doesn't cut it. I took before and after pictures, and to be honest I could barely tell the difference! I've decided to use it along with liquid foundation to cover up the spots. Do not buy this unless you have very light acne or don't mind having your acne spots show. PS. I bought the starter kit and the matte foundation in "Fairly Light"

Pros:

Perfect coverage
Lasts a long time
Looks very natural
Blends beautifully
Quick to apply

Cons:

A little messy if you're not careful

Since I began using bare minerals I literally have had strangers complimenting my skin almost every day. My acne and pimples have decreased because of how light this makeup is. The first time I applied the foundation on a giant red zit on my forehead and when I stepped back from the mirror and I couldn't even see it...I nearly cried. I also sleep (yes, sleep!) in this makeup pretty frequently and in the morning it still looks good! I've heard people complain that it's expensive but the makeup does last a long time and it's fantastic, so it's really more like an investment than a purchase. If you follow the video tutorial that comes with the foundation starter kit exactly you can't mess up. Tip: take a "before" and "after" pic of yourself to really see what this does to your skin.

Pros:

Makes your skin look good
Covers nicely
Good for your skin

Cons:

Looks cakey over time
Over time it seems to decrease in it's effective-ness.

Pretty expensive, I liked the product and I use it pretty much everyday. I have a combination of dry and oily skin, the product stuck to my skin and made it look dry. I tried moisturizer and it helped a little. Over time this product can look cakey if not applied right.

Pros:

Amazing coverage (with their brushes)
Looks natural
Lasts a long time
Skin-friendly

Cons:

Needs to be reapplied
Somewhat expensive

It's definitely worth buying, but buy the MATTE version of it. The matte version gives thicker coverage yet it still looks flawless. Its better to do the swirl-tap-buff method for the most natural look, but you could have great results without doing it as well. The matte formula covers so nicely. It may look cakey and dry at first, but the natural oils in your skin mix in with the makeup and create a beautiful, flawless finish to your skin(it looks natural and great) :) I bought all of my brushes and powders in a starter kit for $50 in November, and I still have most of the powders left; I bought the mineral foundation for $28 though. This stuff is amazing!

Pros:

great coverage
doesnt settle into pores
doesent clog pores
natural glow
does not break me out
easy to use
long lasting
non drying

Cons:

it could be a little cakey over time
could be cheaper

I like the finish, you think its powder but it is not drying at all. silky finish. I don't think this has made my light acne better, but it did not make it worse.

Pros:

My acne decreased significantly after I switched from liquid foundation to Bare Minerals.
Matches my light-medium Asian skin perfectly. It makes you look like you're not wearing much makeup.
The concealer and foundation cover my pimples well (worn with primer).

Cons:

Wears off easily and can be pricey depending on how much you layer on, although if you wear a primer underneath it will last a lot longer.
Takes a little bit longer to apply until you get the hang of it.

It decreased my acne, it conceals pimples, and the oil-free primer (or any good mineral makeup primer) is a must for all-day wear. It can take a little bit longer to apply until you get use to it.

Pros:

- looks natural
- doesn't clog skin
- doesn't cause breakouts
- hardly any acne since I started using it (I guess all of the other makeup that I've tried was too harsh for my acne-prone skin)

Cons:

- price (compared to the cheapies), but it's actually pretty reasonable

Amazing stuff! I have had acne for 17 years since I was about 13. This foundation looks natural. It covers up most of my red marks fairly well. Sometimes I use a light concealer if BareMinerals doesn't do the trick. But the best part is that I don't break out anymore. I hardly need to cover up anything anymore. I truly believe that this product is a Godsend! I haven't broken out since I started using it a few months ago. Soon enough, I might not even need it. My skin is VERY happy! Note: I use the matte formula, not the original.

Pros:

-looks completely natural if applied correctly
-dewy finish
-covers post acne marks beautifully
-good for skin/works with skin

Cons:

-messy
-expensive
-cannnnn look cakey if worn in a LARGE amount

i love this makeup, its perfect for my skin. It covers my post acne marks like theres no tomorrow. People always ask how i look so good without makeup but little do they know! TIP: onlyy apply makeup to areas where you need coverage, notttt all over! that is one huuuge mistake girls make these days, they apply all this makeup where they dont need it.

Pros:

feels like your skin can breath
can also be used to set liquid foundation

Cons:

color selection
needs to be retouched

Try the matte formula. It doesn't contain some of the irritating ingredients of the regular formula. It also doesn't make your face shiny. It doesn't offer the same lasting coverage as a liquid foundation but if you ever get tired of slathering goop all over your face it's nice to have an alternative and to give your skin a break. I also really like it for a quick natural looking makeup when I'm just going to the grocery store or doing something outdoorsy. As far as olive skin it's hard to find a match but I use two colors: the light has alot of yellow undertones and then I just warm it up with the golden tan. Yeah it's more expensive but it lasts twice as long. I also use either one to set my liquid foundation. Depending on season.

Pros:

Even, smooth coverage

Cons:

Made me break out!
Absolutely no olive shades

Bare Escentuals is a household name because it has the best ad campaign of all times. While the make up looks good on (as long as you're not olive-skinned, in which case you look like you're wearing stage makeup) it is NOT good for you skin as they claim. Several articles I found on the web over the years have broken Bare Escentuals down, ingredient by ingredient, and noted that none of them are known to have any actual benefits to skin.
