Pros:

Burning (Makes it feel like it works)
Smooth shiny skin
Clear clogged pores
Smaller pores

Cons:

Not always effective
Burning (but i like the burning sensation?)

I think everyone's already said it. The only problem is is that it's not 100% effective every time you use it. But it still works,

Pros:

Reduces redness

Cons:

Skin chips.

I say 3.50 due to the cost of baking soda to obtain these results. :) But it reduces alot of redness and puffy-ness that alot of young adults and late ages really need to concentrate on. Though if too much is used, gets kinda flaky. Ever see Austin Powers: Goldmember? Not to be making and sexual jokes, but it can get so dry your skin can peel off.

Pros:

Cheap!!! and so far easy to use.

Cons:

A little stinging at first use. I was a little worried that I was having an allergic reaction, but it turned out fine.

Baking Soda is inexpensive and seems to be working well so far! I keep the box sitting just outside of my shower on the shelf and use it on my washcloth with my regular soap. My skin over all my body seems smoother and cleaner. I use the "paste" mixture as a facial scrub after I clean my face with my usual face clean (as the box recommended). So far so good! I'll post more as I continue use. Oh, I almost forgot...if you live in the south like I do and have problems with those pesky mosquitoes, I seem to have had less trouble with bites the past few days! ;-)

Pros:

-cleaned my skin
-unclogged my pores
-reduced swelling
-cleared up nasty bacteria

Cons:

-can dry skin so Moisturize

I woke up one day with one side of my face tender to the touch. My right cheek and right side of my chin had horrible acne. It was painful and embarrasing. I looked up home remedies and found this. I didn't have anything to lose so I tried it. I made it into a paste and left it on for a few minutes. It cleared up the visible bacteria ( you know the nasty stuff right under the skin in the actual pimple) and left my skin smooth. I totally recommend this. Anyone who has acne knows that acne products can be hit or miss. Try it.

Pros:

Dries out active acne
Helps prevent new acne
Reduces redness
Cheap

Cons:

Burns at times

Try it. It did not get rid of my acne, but it helps to keep it under better control. I use it twice a week as a mask and it is very helpful with drying out anything active and reducing the redness of my scars.

It works but be ware!
I get Hormonal acne I am an adult over 30! My skin is normally clear but all of a sudden I got lots of breakouts for over a month and because I'm a picker it left black marks. I tried everything alo vera, vitamin C, lemons ECT... but I didn't give up because I'm a fighter LOL so my next thing was trying baking soda. I've tried baking soda before and it irritated my skin really really bad. This time I read an article that you mix it with vitamin E oil or Rosehip oil or vitamin C cream natural. I did this as a spot treatment only once again only use it as a spot treatment not all over your face is too harsh for your whole face. I woke up the next morning and my acne dark marks were noticeably lighter yay! 😀 Never use it on open sores or already pop pimples wait until they heal. While they're healing spot treat with Desitin diaper rash cream with zinc trust me. Next morning I woke up and my scars were lighter I'm going to do it again. I have supersensitive skin I advise if you do have supersensitive skin like me be careful and make sure use a light oil like rose hips after put right on after you wash the baking soda off. But don't leave the Rosehip oil on all night leave it on for about 20 minutes and then take a warm towel and wipe it off . I also use black African soap and it's very effective for keeping new bumps from coming on and drink plenty of water at least 10 cups a day good luck everyone if I have more news I will share you do likewise .

Pros:

-Brought white heads to the surface quickly

Cons:

- Made skin red (temporarily)

I forgot to pick up my topical acne prescription before the long weekend, and my skin breaks out as soon as I stop using it, so I resorted to baking soda. It works in a pinch, I had two pimples that the paste I made of water and baking soda dried out and brought to the surface. I recommend it as a last resort if you're out of your usual products.

Pros:

-Reduced redness in acne
-Made my skin feel nice and soft
-Lightened acne scars

Cons:

-Face seemed more pale after using it

I've had pretty bad ance since I was in 6th grade and have been on multiple pills/cremes from my derm and nothing has worked as well as the baking soda. I'm sooo impressed with it. My only complaint is that my face seems more pale but it might just be in my head.
