Pros:

NONE.

Cons:

Dried my skin terribly, way too harsh, caused clogged pores/little zits that I now have to wait to heal. Doesn't feel good upon rinsing.

It makes so much sense on paper, but baking soda is not at all a smart way to exfoliate, IMO. It totally strips your skin, which we all know is NOT good for those with acne. I don't understand why anyone would continue to use this...I fear for the health of their skin in the long-run. There are so many other effective, gentle methods of exfoliation out there. I regret using this. Oh well. Never again.

Pros:

Redness was reduced.

I would recommend this, but don't rely on it. It usually helps the first couple of times.. For me the first time I used it, I was amazed. After the 4th time, no improvements, and acne went back to how it was.

Pros:

It exfoliates your entire face, works against blackheads very well, and even though it doesn't instantly get rid of acne it helps by drying it out so it will go away quickly.

Cons:

burns a little bit and makes my face red right afterwards, but my face gets red easily anyways, so that won't happen for everyone.

Not one thing can work the same, if at all, for every single person. So give it a few tries and if it doesn't work move on to something else and try again. But most people have it laying around anyways, otherwise it costs a couple bucks and there is more than one use for it.

Pros:

Skin feels clean. Skin appears bright and shiny!

Cons:

None.

I have been adding baking soda to my facial cleanser and it is like an exfoilant. I have been told not to use it daily, but I don't feel that my skin is clean if I omit it. So have been using it daily at night for the past 2 weeks. I also use apple cider vinegar as a toner after cleansing, and my face is smooth and shiny. My freckles have also become lighter!
