Pros:

It didn't burn (for me), it got rid of most of my acne, it's cheap.

Cons:

I've heard it burns for other people, my acne wasn't completely demolished.

I seriously recommend this to everyone who gets acne. This was a miracle for me. And DO NOT QUIT USING THIS PRODUCT UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AFTER USE! It is rare for a product to work miracles on your skin after only a few days. Give it some time. I didn't start seeing serious results until two weeks into using it. Now, I only have a few pimples left before my skin becomes acne free.

Pros:

It definitely leaves you with softer and smoother skin and lightens acne scars. It also seems to work great as an alternative to an acne face wash. VERY inexpensive.

Cons:

Burning sensation.

Can be messy.

Everyone must give this a try since it's so cheap and readily available. Just go to the supermarket, buy some Arm & Hammer for $2, and mix it with just enough water to make it a little bit pastey. Just experiment with it. I've done this for over a week now every evening, leaving it on my face for about 15 minutes and it really does make a difference. I have also been taking zinc daily and I do Dan's acne regime and I've finally gotten totally clear. I'm going to stick to this and see which of the three I can drop, although it is really nice to finally be acne free so maybe I shouldn't be messing with it.

Pros:

It works!

Cons:

It dries skin but that's what lotion's for!

I've had acne since I was 12 or so. I had it all over my cheeks, nose, and forehead primarily. As someone who is in entertainment, I was getting concerned because my reps were telling me that some people wanted to hire me based on head shots but seeing me in person, they were concerned about my skin. I started using baking soda, and the first day things improved! The next day things only got better and since then things just keep going uphill. I add it to my neutrogena cleanser and use it in my face wash. Then I follow by using it by itself (adding a little bit of water). I then follow with vinegar and water on a cotton ball. Then I use medicine from a dermatologist and various moisturizers. Granted my ritual might be a little excessive for some people's skin, but it's working for me and I couldn't be happier!!

Pros:

Clears acne and blackheads; softens skin

Cons:

dries skin

Use moisturizer and your kool. I started using this in Nov of 07 along with other stuff. After my face cleared up mostly I stopped using the BS and continued using BP cream. Well long story short I had a flareup that reulted in a lot of acne marks on my face. I have given up on EVERYTHING EXCEPT BP! It's the only thing that will help me! Well, except for a few visits to the derm; $$$ for numerous products just to see what works, only to stop treatment and have more acne. LOL I love Baking Soda, Lemons, and that's all there is to it.

Pros:

Clears up blackheads

I used baking soda for the past 2 nights and I have already seen a huge difference in the appearance on my skin. and my blackheads and almost completely gone. I just mixed baking soda with water to form a paste, put this on my nose and chin (areas with blackheads) and then let it sit for 2-3 mins, then I got a bit more and used it as a gentle scrub on my entire face. I then used my regular face wash both last night and tonight. I noticed a difference last night, but I just did it and my nose and chin look completely clear!
