Pros:

It works.

Cons:

None.

I agree, it works. It's great. I didn't like the idea of using any kind of peroxide (can bleach clothing and sheets). All you really need is some type of liquid antiseptic with it and Isopropyl Alcohol 70% or greater strength is fine. Make a paste of this and the baking soda...I apply only to my very small spots at night and sleep with it on (colored sheets/no bleaching effect)...wake in the morning, it washes off in my morning shower. Then use Daniel Kern gentle cleanser and moisturizer and as little make up (foundation) as possible. Now that my skin is nearly clear, I'm choosing to even go without the "crutch" called foundation make-up. Doesn't matter what is causing the acne. Point is, you may never know what is causing your acne - but this clears it up / takes a few days for some tougher areas, but catch those uh-oh-red marks that you KNOW are going to turn into acne right away and that zit will never see the light of day. Wonderful. Wish I knew of this 30 years ago.

Pros:

Made them way smaller

Cons:

Stings a llttle

This stuff really works. First i heard you should mix baking soda with water but when i did that results were very slow. So then I heard you should mix it with peroxide. So I tried that and my results were ahmazing! My acne is gone under a week and a couple days. And its alot cheaper!

Pros:

Well, it was cheap! And there seem to be many good reviews...

Cons:

Didn't do a thing, then made things worse. But for $0.75 it was worth a try.

I guess it's worth a shot because of the price, and the box says to try it as a skin smoother/softener. But for me it didn't clear up the redness and actually caused more break-outs. My suggestion to people who usually don't get bad cases of acne, but are having an unusual break-out is to STOP over working your skin! Trying a lot of products and home remedies will only aggravate your face more! Believe me, I've been trying to clear up my face for over a month! Finally I just gave up, and here's what seems to be helping me: I've just been washing my face really quick twice a day with regular bar soap, and then following with a light moisturizer. I tell ya, a lot of the redness went away and my skin seems to be getting back to normal! Sounds crazy but just give up on EVERYTHING you've been trying and give your face a rest. Hope my advice helps!

Pros:

Works fabulous. Have used it for years. I am 34 w/ great skin. A great addition to this is Aztec Secret's Indian Healing Clay for a mask. Mix equal parts w/ Apple Cider Vinegar. Unbelievable results for only $7. Use once a week.

Cons:

Need to moisturize. I use honey afterwards and leave on for 5-10 minuets or aloe vera gel (no additives). This combination gives me PERFECT skin - and

Want good skin... drink water, eat healthy, don't use junk w/ chemicals. Visit [link removed] to see what main line companies use in their products and what it does to your skin and over all health as it seeps through your pores.

Pros:

Works well.

Cons:

None so far.

I made a foaming paste from baking soda and fresh leomn juice. Put the paste on my face and let it dry and then rinsed. Dabbed on a light layer of extra virgin olive oil (won't clog pores like most moisterisers).

Pros:

helped my acne

Cons:

It feels it is dry

I wash with water, and put overnight on spot. I have been using last one week and it is drying well. I tried everything last 10 years, this is the only thing worked for me. I highly recommended.

Pros:

It works great, cost nothing, and clears up my acne instantly. It takes very little time and can be done while watching t.v.

Cons:

nothing except the ocasional stinging sensation

I believe it is a good idea to mix with hydrogen peroxide or your favorite deep cleaning astringent for MAXIMUM RESULTS. also its a good idea to leave on as long as possible to get full results. I love this i actually have it one right now!!! be care full if you leave it on though... you could be come a walking snowfall lol:P

Pros:

Excellent

Cons:

None...though tempting...just don't over-scrub...you'll be sorry if you do...

The best way this works is if you use it in conjunction with topical medication that you get from your dermatologist...I have fought acne for 20 years...got it under control but recently started to breakout with blackheads...so what i did was once a day I would mix baking soda with my acne cleanser (over the counter will do)...made sure my face was moist...and applied the mixture to my face and rubbed in for 30s-1min. rinsed and called it a day...dry my face...used Salicylic Acid medicated pads (to further encourage skin renewal...that's the key!) then I put on vitamin A acid liquid (prescribed from my dermatologist - a very effective way to fight acne) and go to bed...first day after using baking soda with facial cleanser...walked past a mirror and did a double take...skin looks fresh and radiant...wow!!!!! go to your dermatologist first to see if they will prescribe anything...and trust me...whatever they prescribe works amazing with baking soda mixed with a cleanser!!!!!!! Pros:

Great exfoliator, my skin was soft afterward. :)

Cons:

itched while it dried. burned if i put it on any irritated areas. kind of drying.

ughhh. i wish it would have worked, but i don't think it helped very much. it's only been a couple of days, but i didn't see any super fast results like other people have been getting. i'll keep using it though, and i might post another review later. i made it into a paste and left it on overnight to spot-treat. i also washed my face with it once, but it was a little drying and didn't really help. i think other people should try it just because it makes your skin feel good and it might clear you up. :)
