Pros:

Actually works!

Cons:

None

I add a small ammount of baking soda to my Proactiv face wash twice a day. Massage gently and rinse thoroughly. Never scrub skin! I used to scrub and have stopped. Follow with full strength organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. (Skip toner) Then use Proactiv repair lotion and a very mild organic face lotion. I love Origins. Scrubbing will only keep acne from healing. I also stopped using whitening toothpaste. Have been doing this for the past week and my skin looks amazing!

Pros:

I loved this! It TOTALLY WORKS!

Cons:

It stings, but it's worth it

I'm 17, and my Prom is in a week. I've tried everything to rid mysellf of acne. Creams, washes, ect. You name it, I've tried it. All those whould take aqbout 2 weeks to show results, then stopped working after a short period. I was desperate for a solution for prom, especially since my crush will be taking me. I tried this, and it started working after the first application! my pimples were smaller, and less painful. I used peroxide and baking soda. I'd put it on for about 20 mins, wash it off, then put ALoe Vera on. SO WORKS!!!! I'm so happy!!!

Pros:

literally INSTANTLY removed blackheads and left my skin ridiculously smooth

Cons:

got very red and had a pretty bad burning sensation, but it was worth it, but i heard it stops doing it after a few uses

this is worth using.. try not to scrub too hard or itll burn more than it has to. i had black heads that you could notice easily, and i noticed em especially. i used it once, and i couldnt see a single black head, i couldnt stop smilin like a fag hahaha.. but its amazing that i tried poppin my black heads and usin meds and scrubs for years, and after ONE damn use, this removed them within seconds.. i was kind of angry i didnt use it sooner.. best part is i opened a cabinet and it was already there.. no need to spend any cash.. my skin is smooth as hell now too.. if you have visible pores or blackheads, use it. i just rubbed in small circular motions and bam, the second i washed the sh*t off i was amazed.. i used a noxzema mask afterwards and the the two treatments interacted and made my face brighter and clearer than ive ever seen it.. its like a damn miracle

Pros:

Helps treat the acne better than any other products that I have ever used.

Cons:

Dries out the face>

I didn't know that you could use it as a scrub but I tried it and It worked. Even though it dries out my skin. So I use a gentle lotion. Hope it works for you!

Pros:

It smoothens out your skin, minimizes your pores, helps your pores heal faster, somewhat evens out your skin tone and overall makes you feel better about yourself. (This description is built from the benefits I've seen about my own face.
Not smel

Cons:

Could give you a bit of a frosty cold kind of sensation
It will dry out your skin a little and after you use the blend as a kind of mask/scrub you can see a bits and pieces of your skin will peel
Lightens your skin (or however you look at it)

It has worked the best out of the other treatments I've tried, even recommended dermatologist treatments and products (which smelt). I've tried benzoyl peroxide (it made my face red, and caused pimples at other places so it was like healing some pimples while causing other pimples in other places... yeah.) No lies. I've tried salicylic acid as well. It had not really help either. It made my pimples a lot bigger than usual. Another advantage I've found in baking soda mixed with water once a night is the fact that it had not caused a 'worse before it gets better' effect, not involving with the acne at least. It is also cheaper than most of the treatments that you'll find. Give this a try. :)

Pros:

smooths and softens skin
exfoliates
clears up acne

Cons:

your skin might be dry afterwards

I use baking soda about 3 or 4 times a week. It usually leaves my skin really dry afterward but i follow up with a nice skin moisturizer and the moisturizer soaks right in to my skin. It wont stay on the surface and i dont sweat it out, because of the baking soda. My skin is alway clear and pimple/ breakout free now [except for that time of the month (lol sry)]. So i highly suggest it! Its all natrual!!

Pros:

ery affordable and decreases redness.

Cons:

Meh couldnt think of many.

In all seriousness, I have tried Proactiv with horrible results, actually making my skin tone worse and caused cystic pimples in areas I have never had them before. I'e used many OTC cleaners, redness reducers, overnight gels, creams, in otherwords tried everything to help my once clear skin. I tried a different route this time and went natural. Baking powder completely diminished all the redness from previous irritation as well as made the pimples I had smaller. I dab a little hydrogen peroxide on my face in addition to the baking powder over the pimples before i go to bed. I have seen immense results. Its unbelievable I Have spent hundreds of dollars on products when the one that really worked was 1.00 at shaws. I have also found that steaming my face once a day helps my skin tone and reduces the size of pores.

Pros:

*great exfoliant
*gentle enough to use everyday
*has noticeably helped my skin & reduced appearance of scars

Cons:

none!

Who needs the expensive stuff out there when something as simple and cheap as baking soda does the trick? I'm never buying another face scrub.

Pros:

-very cheap
-natural home remedy

Cons:

- not very effective
- can irritate skin and shouldn't be used on a regular basis if you have sensitive skin

Sometimes it worked. Mainly good for blackheads and exfoliating on my nose. On my pimply parts of my face, it didn't work good and sometimes made it red or worse. If you only have a zit or two and some blackheads, use. Not for sensitive skin.
