Pros:

cheap
simple

Cons:

slight irritation

baking soda and mixed with a little water works like a charm. the first few times using this really made my face red and burned, but after a few uses it wasnt a problem anymore. i found this to be really helpful for the acne on my neck and shoulders. ***for sensitive skin- do not leave it on your skin for more than a few minutes! baking soda is sooo cheap, just give it a try!

Pros:

Makes skin feel nice and smooth, cheap, easy.

Cons:

Did not help with breakouts

I used this product for a few weeks. I made a paste out of baking soda and water and applied it to my skin and left it on for about 10-15 minutes, then very gently rinsed it off. It did leave my skin feeling nice afterwords, very soft and smooth. But this did not seem to help my acne at all.

Pros:

Cheap, Easy, Effective

Cons:

Need to moisturize more, mildly irretating, a little messy

When I baking soda a few weeks ago I had about 12 spots about half of those the deep hard sore spots that take forever to heal. Within 2 days of nightly treatments my really bad spots started to shrink away. It was like magic. Usually these spots take a couple weeks to a month to completely go away. I was also just starting to get a new one of the cystic kind, you know the kind you can literally feel growing on your face and the baking soda seemed to stop it from continuing to grow and it was completely shrunk away after 2 days to nothing. My skin also seems less oily. I use extra moisturizer at night though to prevent dry flaking skin. And to reduce redness and irritation I pat the baking soda and water mixture on instead of rubbing it on. By the morning my face does not look red at all. Since I have started this I havent gotten any new cyst acne, I used to get atleast 1-2 new ones a week. I have only gotten a few very little surface spots. Everyone should atleast try this

Pros:

Soft skin, clearing of acne. reducing lines on face. Not a lot of chemicals. No smells of chemicals.

Cons:

Not easily applicable, does burn, esp. around eyes. Taste bad.

Have acne problems worst in older yrs. Tried eveything I could think of. Been using BS for3 week, husband noticed softer and smooth skin. He noticed acne disappearing. Co-workers noticed same thing. I do it at night. My hands are also softer, nails looking pretty.

Pros:

cheap, works better than ANYTHING I've ever tried

Cons:

can sting around eyes or if left on long... BUT IT WORKS, PEOPLE!!!

IF it dries out your skin, use extra virgin coconut oil afterwards sparingly. It won't clog poors or make acne worse, and your skin transforms! Seriously! And to think the CURE for acne on my face, neck and back was in my kitchen cabinet the whole time!! Argh! I wish I had known much, much sooner! :)

Pros:

Acne scars reduced a lot within the first application. And within a month my face is almost clear of all acne scars. Does not dry face if you put some kind of oil on your face afterwords like olive oil, but after a week or two you wouldn 't need to.

Cons:

none. Very happy at having discovered it

Seriously try it, you have nothing to love except scars. I am so happy now with how clear my skin looks, If i can call a product magical which reduces scars overnight, this would be it. I use it everyday as scrub, but plan on reducing the application in a few days to once every three days, because my skin has really cleared up, and i want the skin to get its natural oil and lusture back.

Pros:

Very affordable, and enviornmentally friendly. Organic?

Cons:

Absolutely nada

So my acne is on my chin and has been actively reappearing since I was about 16/17. I am 34 and still getting huge, red, painful, cystic acne. The rest of my face is flawless. I never experienced the burning sensation when using baking soda. I have 2 methods. 1. Pour about a tea spoon of baking soda in my hand and rub with water. I gently sweep it on my face avoiding the eye area and leave it for about a minute. I wash off with tepid water slowly exfoliating my skin in a circular motion (no more than 15-20 sec). Pat dry and I put on a mix that I have made with grape seed oil, vitamin E, and a few drops of essential lavender oil.

Pros:

Cheap, refreshing... it works!

Cons:

It can sting if you get it near your eyes...

I have severe cystic acne since I was eleven. I am now in college and I was fed up with flare ups and the effects acne has on your self-estem. I have used almost all over-the-counter facial cleanser, lotions and scrubs with results that lasted only a week or two. I have also tried proactive for over a year and then sought medical treatment and recieved perscriptions for creams and medication. I refused to go on Acutane, so I finally did research and found this treatment. I also do a honey, cinnamen, sage, lemon juice mask about three times a week, which seems to restore moisture to my face. :) I use this as a paste and gently massage my face with it for about thirty seconds and promptly wash it off. I really would not recommend leaving it on as it may strip your skin of its natural oils.
