Pros:

Cheap!!! and so far easy to use.

Cons:

A little stinging at first use. I was a little worried that I was having an allergic reaction, but it turned out fine.

Baking Soda is inexpensive and seems to be working well so far! I keep the box sitting just outside of my shower on the shelf and use it on my washcloth with my regular soap. My skin over all my body seems smoother and cleaner. I use the "paste" mixture as a facial scrub after I clean my face with my usual face clean (as the box recommended). So far so good! I'll post more as I continue use. Oh, I almost forgot...if you live in the south like I do and have problems with those pesky mosquitoes, I seem to have had less trouble with bites the past few days! ;-)

Not for sensitive skin
Baking soda works wonders for whitening your teeth and cleaning household appliances...but for your face... I am not so sure. I used it in the past to exfoliate my skin -- it did exfoliate, but my goodness, I think it took over the first layer of my skin that's how harsh it was! My skin did look a lot brighter the next day, but it was followed up with a decent size break out... I think baking soda could work for some people with very strong (leathery) skin... but at the end of the day I think BS... is clearly "BS" pardon the pun.

mixed with lemon juice
i tried the mask i actually like it, its a bit messy so place a hand towel on your chest or do it right before you shower. i used the lemon juice because lemon is a natural way to lighten dark spots. the mask do make your skin feel dry but thats what moisturizer is for. it tightened my pores made my skin look brighter(fresher) and smooth. so i will probably do the mask twice a week one at the beginning and then the middle of the week. its a good alternative for people who have a small budget, you shouldnt spend no more than $3

Lemon juice is an acid and baking soda is a bad so when you combine the two you actually neutralize them. You might as well put plain water on your face because all that you will get from mixing an acid and a base of similar but opposite strengths is create a salt and water. No point.

Pros:

make cystic acne less painful after one application
reduced the size of cystic acne.
cheap
no harsh chemicals

Cons:

can be drying for people with sensitve skin, but just water down the paste more, eg 1 part baking soda and 3 part water.

cystic acne takes weeks to clear up and it hurts A LOT! i usually get about 6 cystic spots per month, because i have hormonal imbalance and baking soda really helps to bring down the inflammation. also, if you put it on when you see the cystic pimple starting to form, it can stop the pimple from getting bigger. i leave to baking soda paste on my pimple as long as i can. e.g, when i come home from work and i have no more schedule, i'll take my make-up off and put baking soda on my pimple until the end of the day. by night time, the cystic will have reduced =) also, don't forget to moisturise. i like to use aloe vera gel =)

Pros:

Helps with acne scars
Shrinks pimples over night
Exfoliates skin well and leaves it smooth
Inexpensive
Natural
Gets rid of oily skin

Cons:

A bit drying

Miracle product! I've struggled with acne so long & I wish I would of tired this sooner. Now I mostly have scars, but I still deal with acne. The way I use it: Mix water, baking soda and one drop of Tea tree oil into a light paste. This might be to long for those with sensitive skin, but it works for me. I do this every few days. Tea tree oil is itself very beneficial for acne and is natural so I find that using both is the key. Every other night I just wash my face with my facial soap mixed with baking soda to exfoliate. Hope I helped! <3
