Pros:

Works better than RX's and Cheap

Cons:

Powder in a box not as convenient as liquids in the bottles.

I mix this with clean and clear moisturizer (the one with Salicylic Acid for blemish fighting) and use as my new cleanser. I am tired of dry skin and acne no matter what I ate or used on my skin so I went to the extreme of loading my skin with moisturizing lotion (which I used to fear would clog pores and worsen) bu add the baking soda as it has the cleaning properties. I have done it for about 2 weeks and after 18 months my skin is soft and healing and nothing new at all. The stubborn milia or small little painless bumps caused from BP products on my cheek is going away to after being there for months.

Deeply unsuccessful
I have been suffering with acne since I was a teenager, with both whiteheads/blackheards and comedones on my forehead. I used baking soda every morning in my skin routine in order to try minimizing blackheads and my comedones. I scrub my face with oatmeal, wash with baking soda/water mixture using a cotton pad and then moisturize with witch hazel. I followed this routine for two months and saw no positive improvement of my acne, my blackheads remained the same and I still have the same flaring acne as before. Although I have sensitive skin it did not irritate or worsen the acne I already have present on my forehead, chin and cheeks. If you do try this I recommend doing a skin test and waiting a few days before using it because it is a strong product to apply to your face. Overall I saw no improvement and would not recommend using this product.

Never using this on my face again!
Last night I used this to get rid of acne marks, I left it on for only about 15 minutes because it was burning so much. I woke up this morning with two huge burns and a couple small ones. They have been oozing and stinging non stop. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Use a product that's actually meant to be put on your face.

Pros:

baby soft skin
gets rid of dead skin
less breakouts
cheap

Cons:

tingles a little bit
dries skin

I use it to exfoliate my skin when i feel like i need it. I try to use it once every week but sometimes i forget so usually i use it twice a month. if you rub the baking soda to hard on your skin, it will hurt but if you lightly massage it in your skin, after you rinse it, your skin is like baby soft but if you don't apply a moisturizer, your skin will be so dry. after using it, my skin doesn't break out as often and it's cheap

Pros:

Left skin feeling a bit soft
Unclogged pores
Got rid of my blackheads
Scars are barely noticable

Cons:

After washing it off, it left some flesh coloured bumps on my cheeks.
Skin got dry

I'm not sure if I have sensitive skin or not, but after I washed off the baking soda, my cheeks were irritated and had flesh colored bumps on my cheeks. It was irritating and red. It did go away but it took quite a while for it to. I don't recommend this to people with sensitive skin.

Pros:

Burning (Makes it feel like it works)
Smooth shiny skin
Clear clogged pores
Smaller pores

Cons:

Not always effective
Burning (but i like the burning sensation?)

I think everyone's already said it. The only problem is is that it's not 100% effective every time you use it. But it still works,

Pros:

Reduces redness

Cons:

Skin chips.

I say 3.50 due to the cost of baking soda to obtain these results. :) But it reduces alot of redness and puffy-ness that alot of young adults and late ages really need to concentrate on. Though if too much is used, gets kinda flaky. Ever see Austin Powers: Goldmember? Not to be making and sexual jokes, but it can get so dry your skin can peel off.

Pros:

Cheap!

Cons:

Abrasive, until you learn how to use it.

I wanted to update my reveiw. I' ve been using baking soda twice a day for 7 months now, my face is completely clear! Always! Try this, just water it down. It's very good for oily skin.
