HELP
So I never usually get spots or pimples and all of a sudden I have broken out so bad on my forehead. I've tried different things but nothing seems to work. Then I came across ACV. I've been using it as a toner with the ratio 1:1 and have been using it for about 5 days now, I thought I saw a little improvement with the redness of the spots going down but today my forehead looks so bad. Please could someone advise me how long this takes to kick in? Thanks :)

worth a try!
I dilute this 2 to 1 with water. I wouldn't say it really helps with pimples for me but my skin is far less oily when I use this. also it seems to sort of hydrate my skin since it has that fine lined dehydrated look from benzoyl peroxide. it doesn't really make enough of a difference for me to keep using it but I recommend giving it a try, although it does smell. they say it goes away once it dries but if you sweat or anything you will smell it. this didn't burn or tingle or anything to me. if you breakout easily (I do) I recommend spot testing for a week or two to see how your skin will react. if it's not going to work for you, it will save you alot of headache in the long run!

Decent
After using super harsh chemicals and prescribed topicals by my derm I realized it didn't work at all, so I stopped. Then my acne flared up to the extreme! I decided to go the natural route by using ACV as a toner ( half water half ACV ) and also drinking a cup a day ( 2 tsp with water ). It's been about 2 weeks and the results are decent. It's great for evening out my complexion and makes my skin super soft. It also makes my acne turn white super fast so that its ready to be harvested and popped ( naturally of course ). However it does not stop acne from growing again. It's awesome for a every day toner but I would not count on it to cure your acne for good. I still get new ones almost every day.

So so
I am a 19 year old female and have pretty awful acne allll over my face and neck. I had such high hopes for this. I spent hours upon hours reading about apple cider vinegar especially Bragg's. I applied diluted mixture to my face as a toner and also drank 2 tablespoons a day mixed with a glass of water. I did this for two months and there was no improvement. It irritated my skin a lot. I knew it didn't work because with my skin, when a product really helps, I can see improvement right away. I tried this in so many ways.. Wanted to make it work...but it didn't guys. I think my skin might be too sensitive.

Minimal results, but a handy pick-me-up
I have come back to ACV as a cheap toner quite a few times now, but on it's own I never see a huge difference. If your skin's feeling a little gross still after washing it can help out, and it does seem to have a smoothing effect, but I saw no major differences in my acne. It's nice, but certainly not the miracle cure for acne, and can make skin more sensitive if you already have sensitive skin.
Generally, I only use ACV when I'm not on any prescribed medicine because it is too drying. Even then though, if I use it every day than after maybe a week my skin will start to get dry unless I slather on loads of moisturizer. So overall I use it sparingly. Also, I find that it works best in a spray bottle rather than on cotton pads because of the rubbing.
But, given how recently my skin has been dry and much more oily than usual, I may go back to ACV anyway.

ACV advice please
Hi I'm a 17 year old male and have had acne since 13/14. I never get cystic acne but I have a face full of medium sized red dots. I used benzoyl peroxide with clindamycin as phosphate 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5% last summer and my face was almost completely cleared but I still had about 15 red spots on either side of face so I went to my doctor again because my prescription was used up and she prescribed Epideo to finish clearing up my face. Ok, that is when ALL HELL broke LOOSE! I started breaking out NONSTOP. My face got totally red and pealed like crazy in the beginning but now I'm more used to it. I'm still using it a couple times a week. When I was so dry I started using coconut oil which helped so much with dryness but I firmly believe that it breaks me out, I have tried it twice and each time it feels GREAT but after about a week after using it once or twice I break out in very small dots everywhere. I firmly believe in curing acne naturally and have for the past couple months eliminated all dairy, most sugar and most meat from my diet and I always eat a homemade vegetable soup consisting of green peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and celery. I eat this for most of my meals daily. And have been using a multivitamin plus zinc and vit d3 4-5,000 IU per day. Plus I drink lots of alkaline water every day and wash my face with acidic 4.0 water. My face has not cleared up in the least. Do you think it's because I have only been doing it for 2-3 months or am I doing something wrong. I also run/work in a woodworking business with LOTS of dust, is this a negative for my skin? If so what can I do to help? I've read MANY reviews on Acne.org and YouTube of how people healed there acne by drinking and/or using Apple Cider vinegar as a topical. And what I have noticed is most people that this has helped are people that are close to there 20s or older I'm 17, so if someone could give me some advice if I should run to the store and pig out on ACV or not, and my whole acne disaster I would be soooo grateful. My email is daviddyck17@[link removed] Thanks!!!! P.S. I hang out only one day a week and try to hide my face as much as possible. I HATE my face and have for so long, if this would help me get cleared I would have my life back!! #fingerscrossed

Maybe it works?
I've been using Braggs APV for 2 weeks now and I can't decide if it's helping - my hyperpigmentation is less red than it was, but is that due to the natural healing process or the APV? I can't say for sure. I'll continue using it from time-to-time, but I usually find that after two weeks if something is not working, game over. I am glad to hear that it works for many people, but I may be one of the few it does not! I wouldn't knock it until you've tried it, it's worth the $6 since it may work wonders for you. Best of luck!
