Pros:

I have suffered from adult acne for around twenty-five years. I have had to use acne medicine daily to keep the acne away. Prior to going in for surgery on my neck, I started cleansing with Hibiclens. I kept on cleansing my lower face and neck with Hibiclens post-surgery because of open wounds and swollenness. After about a week, I realized that my cystic acne was gone -- without daily acne medicine. (It would always return when I stopped the acne medicine.)

If you have not had any luck with acne medicines (with sal. acid etc.), give Hibiclens a try. (Read the directions.) Good luck.

Pros:

Works great on breakouts. Sometimes I cleanse my face with it but I can veen dab it on a pimple or red spot and it is gone the next morning!

Cons:

Warning about getting in eyes and ears

Why pay for that expensive stuff from the dermatologist that doesn't work nearly as well?

Pros:

Fresh smell
Doesn't sting or cause discomfort
Eliminated a zit on my lip line

Cons:

Made my acne worse
Drying, but moisturizer can help that

I had very high hopes for Hibiclens, but after using it consistently for 2-3 weeks, it has managed to make my acne worse. I have cystic acne on my lower cheeks and it didn't improve it at all. But now I have break outs all over my forehead (previously clear), chin, upper cheeks, and neck. You know those zits that pop up right at your lip line and hurt and look hideous for weeks? Hibiclens totally got rid of a budding zit I had there. In the future I won't use Hibiclens as an all-over facial cleanser, but if I get a zit on my lipline again I know exactly how to get rid of it: Hibiclens.

Pros:

Best stuff I have ever used. Is clearing up my skin as well as antibiotics have in the past. I HIGHLY recommend you try this. Please buy the 16oz with the pump, it DOES foam very well w/ pump. 1 gallon on Ebay is much more affordable in the long run.

Cons:

Has Alcohol in it which is rough on your skin and many would advise against using that. Find a good moisturizer to use after you use the Hibiclens.

Buy the 16oz bottle ONCE ([link removed]) and refill it with the 1 gallon bottles on Ebay. Over the last 15 years every other product I have tried has failed me. This is the only one that so far seems to work. I use this about 3-4 times a day. DO NOT GET IN EYES or EARS. This is not hard, just be careful and flush your eyes out extremely well if you do.

Pros:

Best dang-on acne cleanser I've used. A little goes a long way so $10 is nothing.

Cons:

Doesn't lather too well, but it definitely cleanses.

This is a good post-cleansing treatment as well. I use a gentle cleanser first, then exfoliate gently and then put this on my face (keep it out of eyes!). Let it sit for a few minutes and gently massage it in. Then rinse thoroughly. It can be drying but What I do is use kinerase lotion afterward (contain kinetin which renews skin cells)and then follow with a moisturizer. This cleanser dried up my acne almost overnight with no new active acne forming.

Pros:

I havent been using this long only a a day or two. I noticed it decreased the oiliness on my skin. It dried pimples that were formed.

Cons:

A bit pricey, wish it was in a foam container.

Not all products work for everyone. I have used many otc products, proactiv, and DKs regimen (3 years). Ive stopped using DKs regimen for five months and hopefully this pans out.

Pros:

I finally found a product that clears my acne and doesn't dry out my skin! I have tried so many other products that just didn't do anything to improve my skin. Although I still do have occasional breakouts, I have absolutely seen my skin get clearer

Cons:

The consistency is very thin

Good product that finally helped my skin.

Pros:

I have staph infection (never had before)tried hibiclens. I'm 39 years- my face was very oily growing up with bad breakouts and has continued to be oiler than most my age with mild breakouts. My skin looks beautiful in the wk I've used it. Wow!

Cons:

Expensive and you go through it quickly for using all over (which my doctor has recommended for the staph boils for one month). I am hoping my skin won't get used to it and stop responding. I have never had such nice skin since I was a child.

My skin looks porcelain now. The inflammation is gone. I also started taking 1 fish oil and 1 flax seed oil twice a day about a year ago, that really improved my skin also. I tried a sun lamp to dry it out when I was 14, my skin has freckle damage from getting 2nd degree burns (fell asleep, what a dummy). When I recall my worst breakouts, it was 9th grade, the year I at sweets all of the time and hardly any vegetables or protein. Chocolate does effect skin because too much can irritate and sugar is actual poisonous for us. All of those things that dry out the surface do NOOOOOO Good! Don't waste money, eat vegetables please kids! I know it sucked for me having oily skin and breakouts. Hibiclens gave me an unexpected bonus killing bacteria. To get off my makeup I used an olive oil and glycerine french soap for 4.99 at Trader Joes and then I use the hibiclens lightly. I am on my third bottle of hibiclens for all over body cleansing for staph in 1 1/2 weeks.

Pros:

It works like magic!!

Cons:

It is very liquidity. But for the rest i can't find anymore cons!

My skin improves on the first day when i tried it. Even though i am using this product like 2 days, it is just great that a cleanser doesn't dry out the skin! And i also see that my zits are just drying out. So in a couple of days or a week or 2 i would be completely clean. Atleast in theory(i hope i didn't jinx it)
