ok so my face broke out terribly two weeks ago. i already have moderate acne with a few cysts but my face blew up. i had started a job at Sonic and my diet was horrible. i went to the doctor and they retin-a and antibiotics. i hate taking that stuff so went back to the aloe vera plant ib my backyard i had used a year ago. OMG i washed my face with Ambi and applied aloe to my face 2 times a day for 2 days and my face was CLEAR. all the cysts along my jawline had dried up and were fading. omg

Pros:

- Evens skin tone dramatically
- Considerably fades marks with everyday use over the course of a few weeks
- Makes skin uber-smooth and softer
- Makes skin glow
- Makes skin tight and somewhat poreless
- Completely NATURAL, people!

Cons:

The only con I can think of is that aloe probably wouldn't be potent enough to really change more severe acne.

This plant has been used for ages for medicinal uses. Aloe Vera has so many nutrients that are highly beneficial to the skin...that, well, if this has any bad effect on your skin, you must be an alien.

Pros:

Everything, it works!

Cons:

None.

Aloe Vera is totally awesome, I have the real plant and I cut a small piece and get the stick stuff and rub on my skin where the acne is at night and the acne is gone by the next day. I bought my plant for $6 at Trader Joe's.

I been using this product for one week and two days, and my skin looks so much better!. I had a lot of red and brown spots, the red spots are gone and the brown ones are still there, but they're hardly noticeable. My face is glowing, and the oil of my nose is SO controlled. Im amazed. Right now, my self-steem is so much better. I used to felt like a giraffe because my spots, but the Aloe Vera help me a lot!, and just in one week!, i can't wait to see my face in one month!. My regimen is very simple, cheap, and natural. In the morning, after a shower, I apply the aloe vera, directly from the plant. I use glicerin soap. In the afternoon I wash my face and apply again the aloe vera. In the night, I do almost the same thing, but I use brown sugar. Sometimes I forget apply the aloe vera, but I usually use it twice a day. Please, before buy expensive creams or use any kind of treatment, try the Aloe. It's just a miracle!. I didn't believe it before I used, and now, my skin is

Pros:

Everything! Drying up current cysts, fading scars, feels cool and refreshing on skin.

Cons:

Honestly nothing.

I have used a variety of different natural products on my skin to try to heal cysts and to fade redmarks and scars. Vit E and Tea Tree Oil broke me out. ACV dried me out. Aloe is the perfect remedy for my skin. I started using it a week ago. I don't use the plant. I buy the filler, which is liquid, and keep it in the fridge. In the morning and night, I use a cotton ball and apply the liquid liberally to my skin. It has been great! My active acne is drying up, and it is fading old marks. It feels cool, refreshing, and clean on my skin also, whereas other things such as E and Honey, although good for the skin (minus the breakouts I get from the E), are very messy. This is something I can use under my make up that doesn't make a big mess. Keep in mind though I use the filler, it is the pulp put into liquid form. I have cystic acne and not much helps clear it up. I would highly highly recommend trying aloe.

Pros:

excellent plant..

Cons:

none

i bought it about a week ago from home depot. i use the gel every other day and leave it over night. i have noticed my skin to be a lot softer and glowing. even if you get a plant its like $5.00 and you can use that plant for around 2 weeks which is cheaper than a good cream. my skin is much healthier and natural looking with no chemicals at all....

Pros:

Heals scars, leaves skin smooth, no bad smell, natural, fool-proof, free for me because I just stole a few pieces from a neighbor's yard.

Cons:

Doesn't necessarily reduce actual acne, though it improves appearance of the skin and fades flaws.

I don't understand how these people are getting such weird side-effects, if they're using the plant and not the store-bought gel, which could easily have a lot of chemicals which cause allergic reactions. You should just sleep with it on your face at night, don't keep it on your face all day and go into public with aloe goo on your face... I know you want to heal your skin, but of course you're going to have problems that way.

Pros:

whoa. only 3 days. yeap. 3 days. a friend said that its a silent healer. he recommended it to me. now i call it my miracle plant.

Cons:

honestly, if u wana make it less messy, use a mask bowl!

i've done research online regarding aloe and acne. and they say its not a total acne treatment. but hey it does works wonders. my skin conditon looks clearer, less breakouts, less oily and definately made a happier me. also use a toner after and clay mask a few times a week.

Pros:

-You can eat it, rub it on your skin, or put it in your hair
-All natural
-Mild

Cons:

-Not as moisturizing as you might think
-A bit messy to handle

I've been rubbing aloe on my skin after I wash my face for almost two months now. After a few trials I think I figured out the best way to use it. If you are using it as a moisturizer like me I recommend you use some lotion after you rub it on your face because its water contents seem to evaporate very quickly and this can dry out your skin. Dry skin = unhappy (or even angry) skin! Applying moisturizer seals in the aloe goodness in my opinion. Let the aloe dry first then apply a layer of lotion on top. This will make your skin glow! If you are suffering from acne and everything you use seems to irritate it, then try the aloe paired with non-comedogenic, allergy tested, dermatologist tested moisturizer. Don't let your skin go dry because of whatever topical treatment you are using. It will upset your skin! BTW the aloe does peel when you put lotion on your skin. You will have to remove them as it bunches on the surface.

Pros:

Scar Reduction
Smoothness and Evenness
Cost is nominal(i.e. Cheap)

Cons:

Gooey

I am Mr. Skeptical since having acne 35 out of my 52 years, but believe it or NOT, the natural aloe vera works as long as you are not active. That is the 1 large stipulation I need to make. I bought the plant after using the FOTE gel. They bought seem to work for me. As subjective as Acne can be, you do not lose anything, just trying something natural... After having put so many chemicals in and on my body it is so refreshing to find something natural. I have schedule my first chemical(Salicylic and Lactic acid ) peel, but just may cancel after the aloe....
