Pros:

works VERY VERY VERY well at helping with hyperpigmentation in a relatively short amount of time and it seems to just help at healing the skin

Cons:

may not be the only step in fighting acne

This product has changed my skin in literally two weeks. I use the gel from the vitamin shoppe. Make sure you get organic aloe vera. It has helped my skin TREMENDOUSLY, my hyperpigmentation is fading and it is slowly working on scars. I say in about two months time my skin will be 90% healthy. Please give it a try!!

Pros:

-shrinks pores
-reduces acne
-natural glow
-leaves skin VERY VERY soft and smooth
-free for me (i have the aloe plant in my backyard)

Cons:

-irritates skin at first

i really recommend this. not only for people with acne, but even for older people who want to prevent wrinkles. I squeeze the aloe juice on my mom's skin and her pores and wrinkles diminished over time. She even got a natural glow on her face! I really love this because it is truly natural. Only most lotions and products we use, this is 100% natural. no matter what the department store products say, they will ALWAYS have artificial products in them. So, I highly recommend this! Good luck~

Pros:

-Natural remedy
-Helps inflamation
-Reduces redness
-Helps with spots
-Soothing & fresh feel

Cons:

-Sticky texture that tightens your skin and looks filmy so you can't go out during the day with it
-Slow effects as to healing

My mom had been treating me with aloe vera gel straight from the plant ever since I abruptly started breaking out a few months ago. She merely cuts off a leaf from one of the aloe plants that grow in our backyard and applies the gel over my forehead. It's very cooling and I leave it on overnight. I wash it off in the morning and see reductions in my inflamed pimples. It helped reduce the swelling, but has rather slow effects.

Pros:

all natural!
cooling and soothing
helps reduce swelling

Cons:

sticky and tightens skin
messy

I use aloe leaves straight from my plants or buy giant ones for 1$ each at my local grocery. I split out the thorns from the two sides and cut them into rectangular pieces and divide those pieces into small squares. I then peel off a side of the square and rub it all over my face. The cooling effect is instantaneous, I couldn't believe my eyes the next morning! The tone evened out, the swelling reduced dramatically, and the inflammation had calmed greatly. I continued using it every morning and night, and at first didn't think it was making that much of a difference in my regime, until I went away for a week on a trip without aloe vera. My face freaked, & I was back to horrible, unmanageable skin. The first day I returned I started using aloe again, and my face returned to its controlled stage. Bottom line is that it won't be a miracle cure, but it helps TREMENDOUSLY in swelling, redness and texture. It's also completely natural so there's nothing to lose

Pros:

Moisturizing and Calming
Leaves skin soft
Reduces the size of pimples
Natural
Heals and calms sunburns
Acts real fast

Cons:

Leaves skin a little tight after you apply it
A little bit messy, but it's worth it

Aloe vera its great for your skin. Actually, its great for almost everything, I apply it everyday before going to bed, and leave it overnight. It dramatically reduces the pimples and makes the whiteheads vanish completely. but be sure the plant you take it from is at least 2 years old, otherwise it will not do it's work as promised; also, use the thickest part of the leaf, which is where all the 'good stuff' is. You can perfectly use the rest of the leaf, of course. For less than a dollar, I totally recommend it!

Pros:

Smells good
Feels good
Cheap
Multi-use

Cons:

A bit slimy and messy (but not unbearably so)

Aloe Vera is an incredible plant. Ever since I have started using it, I have noticed that my skin is softer, the redness from pimples and zits are greatly reduced, and my face seems to have a nce little glow to it. Aloe is also great for all types if burns (ie sunburns, chemical burns, heat burns etc.), scars that you want to disappear, and helps to speed the healing of various cuts and other skin injuries. Go Aloe!!

Pros:

Relives dryness, reduces redness, helps heal acne.

Cons:

None really, I'd suggest using a light moisturizer before applying aloe if using over the entire face.

Aloe Vera gel is great if you can use it directly from the plant.I personally can't use the bottled stuff because it irritates my skin.I'd suggest looking up how to harvest the gel online and then put the gel in a blender until the texture is consistent and not lumpy. Then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week or two. I've been using aloe vera every night for about a month and my skin has improved. The redness caused by using Differin was horrible, even 4 weeks after discontinuing it, the aloe has helped a lot. I use a light moisturizer and let it dry for about 20 minutes before applying a fairly thin layer of aloe gel over my face and leave on over night. I also sometimes spot treat with clindamycin first, let it dry, then and apply aloe on top of it. The aloe can make your skin slightly dry, however it does moisturizes at the same time, so I'd suggest using a moisturizer lotion to avoid any problems. I heard about aloe being a miracle for all skin conditions from my Mexican grandmother. She used aloe gel on her face every night for about 60+ years and her skin looked great with very few wrinkles even at almost 80. Good stuff can't recommend enough.
