Pros:

Cheap
All Natural

Cons:

Burned my skin slightly

I started using this as an all over treatment at night hoping it would help my acne (Hormonal & whiteheads :P) but as I said above, it burned a bit ... nothing TOO unbearable and i felt that it was making me breakout a little more more. So I stopped using it as an all over treatment, but one day I had to extract a large pimple on my nose (after washing of course) and with a clean finger, dabbed a nice amount on the spot and IT REALLY DID HEAL IT! fast like overnight :))) ... so bottom line, I will use this if I ever have a bad breakout and it pops .... I THINK this Pure Aloe Vera gel definitely helps to heal the wound! :)))

Pros:

-cheap
-lightens scars (after long time use...)
- light

Cons:

- dries out face
- isn't exactly all natural

At first I was very excited to use this product - in the end, i face mixed results. though it has lightened my scars, it hasnt lightened them as much as i had hoped for... in addition to this, i noticed an increase of blackheads on my left cheek (which was originally clear, but now has black spots all over :-() though i am disappointed by its cons, it has made my skin much smoother and has toned out the areas a bit. I'd also recommend applying Benozyl Peroxide after the gel has settled... Adds an extra boost. Using this alone would be best for people facind light acne. For moderate, definitely use something along with it.

Pros:

Natural moisturizer
Protects and regenerates skin cells
Cools and soothes irritated skin
Treats minor burns and cuts.
After sun
After shave/ postdepilatory
Reduces skin marks

Cons:

Nothing

I love aloe vera gel. I use it all the time, sometimes I mix a bit of aloe vera gel with a drop or 2 of tea tree oil for acne/rosacea treatment. It calms my sensitive skin and leaves it soft and glowy. TIP: store it in the fridge for a cooler effect!!

everything in one
-treatment
-moisture

Cons:

ingrediants are not perfect, this can not be used all the time and alone, at least few times a week you should
or make your skin brath normally and not put anything
or put a am or pm cream

First want to thank EVERYBODY in this site - i suffered from acne so many years, after i found this site i cured myselve completly. With medium acne and bacne, also neck acne (i took medicines, antibiotics for a while - so they caused it) - now i have light, but they are invisible at all - few marks, but i stoped buying expensive cremes - and I have bought this one in wallmart a lot bigger bottle for 3 dollars. try it - andno effect. I used BP and cremes - am and pm then, it was so annoiying but it helped, i used 2 big bottles of bp. after i realized that it's enough - as every time i skip - it almost the same, I started to take fish oil and tablets of apple cider viniger and in 2 weeks i was almost clear. I realized the problem is deeper in my head - i need to be always happy - try to live no stress - exercises helped, always think what i am eating (now - only healthy food with a lot of natural oils and omega 3, fruits, veg, lemon water every day, a LOT LESS salt and sugar) i couldn't just stop treatments of skin topically at all - so i continued with cremes after washing. but noticed i need smth not greasy at least 1 a day. so i tryied this bottle again and i still stay with it. now - i use it couple times a week - morning or evening, also i use Cerave-pm once a week. So as u can see on different stages of clearing this product can be good or bad. also it depends on skin problems from one to another. Capsule of apple cider viniger and capsule of fish oil and water, often lemon water, and different kinds of topically uses of aloe products and a big smile saved my life!

Pros:

Light
Non-oily

Cons:

Sticky when put on
Face tight when dries
May clog pores
Stings eyes
Doesn't do much to heal or treat acne

I have oily skin with acne on my forehead, nose and chin. I have been using Aloe Vera gel twice a day, both morning and night for about a year now. I would wash my face, apply a witch hazel toner, aloe vera gel and a moisturizer (which is my sunscreen). I discontinued using it a few days ago because I noticed it hasn't had an effect on my acne and I was noticing that my face was actually getting worse when it should be getting better. Though it may be hard to believe but since I've stopped using it my face has actually been improving and that may be because I've started drinking lemon juice and applying it topically on my face, so check it out. I think the problem with this Aloe Vera gel is that as mentioned in other reviews, it's not completely natural and it says no where on the bottle that it is non-comedogenic so I think that is why I saw no improvement in my acne because now I have both excess oil and this processed gel clogging my pores. Though it may have worked for for others, I have had no success with it so I would not recommend. However since I've struggled with acne for many years, to anyone who is interested I am going to suggest doing the following: *Drinking Green Tea at least twice a day *Drinking a mixture of Lemon Juice and water (be careful when applying it to your face, it can be really drying and may sting) *Using Witch Hazel as a toner I have no doubt that all of the above have been saving my skin from a complete takeover by acne. So also check it out! They are all natural anyways with other health benefits, so why not?

Pros:

cheap
ALOE :)
versatile, lots of uses
healing

Cons:

drying
not totally natural
doesn't really work

I was soooo excited trying this. People say it's moisturizing, defines curls, heals acne, soothes skin, etc. I bought this for a good price and tried it for all of those things. Here's my review for all of them: As a curl definer- It was OK...not that great. It dried out my hair and made so of it straight (?) I don't even know how that happened. As a shave gel- At first, this was AWESOME! No nicks, cuts, or anything. However, the next day, I noticed bumps :( This might have been from my razor, but not so sure. As a moisturizer- Disappointing. I heard it makes skin soft and hydrated, but not for me. It actually dried my skin out! Not to the point of flaking or anything, just tightness. It simply didn't do what a moisturizer should.. As a spot treatment- This was actually pretty good. When I apply a lot to a blemish or scar, it helps it go away a lot faster and reduces redness a little. *Bottom line* I wasn't really happy with this because it didn't do all the things aloe is said to do. I started thinking, though, that might be because of all of the additives. It says 100%...but just read the label. I'm going to use this after my cleanser but before my moisturizer--kind of like a toner. I'll keep using this as a spot treatment for blemishes and scars, but when this runs out, I'm buying the actual plant. :)

Pros:

-Not oily (which is great for my acne prone skin)

- Reminds me of the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel from Clinique (:

- It does make my skin feel softer and a bit smoother

-fragrance free

-No color added

-absorbs quickly

Cons:

-it is very moisturizing at 1st but then after it absorbs into my skin, my face feels dry and really tight.

-it did break me out the 1st time i put it on my face, just a tiny bit though.

-i have these tiny cyst bumps on my face & this product seemed to make that problem worse -__-

-doesn't really make a difference on my face

-Makes my eyes watery and burn when i'm 1st applying it :

I started using aloe vera gel for sunburns this summer, then read online that it was also great for acne and dryness. I wanted to use it more as a moisturizer though since my acne is pretty much gone now, all i have left are these Cyst bumps on my cheeks, but i do still tend to break out every now and then. My acne products have made my skin face really dry, specially my cheeks, so i used this more as a moisturizer for my acne prone skin. I've been using it pretty consistently for about a month now and i have to say that i think it's just an okay product. For one, i don't notice a huge difference on my face after this product was absorbed into my skin. it leaves my face feeling tight and dry. It's not super moisturizing. i find i still have to apply a different moisturizer after. i would say that it does help a little bit. My face isn't as dry, but its dry enough where I still feel like I need to moisturize. I haven't noticed a difference in my acne scars either. Overall I feel like it's okay, but honestly i can do without it if i had to. I'll probably continue finish using this because it's not bad, it does help a little bit and i do like how it feels at 1st, but i just don't think that it makes a huge difference for me. So i don't know if i would repurchase it again, but i'll definitely finish using up my bottle. Overall it's not a bad product. i would say give this a try if you're looking for a super light moisturizer, it's not THAT bad. i'd recommend it if maybe you have super oily skin. It's worth a try, i just don't think that it makes a huge difference for me.
