Great treatment
A lot of other people will try to get you to buy aloe vera in products but honestly having it straight off the leaf is the way to go cause it's not diluted and retains much more of it's healing properties. I started using it just for help on a really bad sunburn but after a few days the burn was completely gone and no peeling at all. I was amazed so I started using it on razor burn and acne around my nose and night. The results are astounding I recommend trying it 2-3 times a day for at least a few days before you shoot this one down

Pros:

Very soothing, good for skin irritations, sunburns, dry skin, even works great as an "intimate lubricant".

Cons:

Some people have said it makes their face break out, but I have never personally experienced this.

I have used it for years for burns, sunburns, dry skin, "intimate lubricant", cuts and insect bites, and I love it!

Pros:

Calms the skin.

Cons:

None

I have been using this product for a few days. Can anyone tell me how long it will take before I see some real results? Has anyone been using this gel exclusively for acne scars? If so can you please tell me what the result was? Many thanks. This is defiantly the best acne site.

Pros:

Reduces ALL types of Acne that have already surfaced

Cons:

Leaves a shine to your skin

I spent the summer in new mexico, where it is very dry. I read about it being a good moisturizer and used it every day all summer after tazorac. I had no pimples for 6 weeks. Well, I should say that I had no pimples that stayed around. They would start to form red spots then promptly disappear. After coming back to the humid mid-west, I stopped aloe, and couldn't figure out why I was breaking out again (I had figured the taz was the reason for the clear-up). Then I checked my acne-diary (I recommend making one of these) and realized my skin turned beautiful a week after starting aloe. Sure enough, I am back on it, and there is hardly a new spot on my face in weeks. Its the only product I know of that works on pimples after they are in full red, painful mode already. It also works on cysts to prevent the red scars that last forever. I am on Lamictal for epilepsy and this is the first product to fully clear my skin. Pay the 7 dollars and save yourself alot of agony.

Heaven on earth
I've always been prone to hormonal acne on my jaws and right cheek, so when I found out I was pregnant, acne wasn't an if but a when. My skin was perfect until I hit 7 weeks and I woke up with 6 cystic zits on my jawline and neck in one big clump. I thought they'd go away in a week or so, but didn't. They shrank, but never fully went away and at 11 weeks some even came back to be larger than before. Desperate and knowing nothing could hurt my skin worse than it already was, I saw a review for aloe vera gel. I bought the clear Fruit of the Earth brand at Wal-Mart and dabbed it on that area that night. I can't even believe this because I know how stubborn cystic acne is, but I woke up and my cysts were GONE. Completely gone. Flat. No one would believe that my skin looked like I had marbles underneath it the night before. I've been using it for 2 nights all over my face and haven't had a single new zit, small or cystic, pop up. It is drying, but it's also complete magic for me. Not to mention i was going into depression over not having the pregnancy glow everyone talks about. I use it all over my face at night after I cleanse and then I dab it on my problem areas in the morning and use my normal moisturizer to prep my make up. If you suffer from acne I highly suggest giving it a shot!

Pros:

- No alcohol, wax, sunscreens, or oil
- Seems to be Ph balancing
- Relieves redness, irritation, and drying from BP
- Feels nice and cool when applying
- Pleasant smell

Cons:

- Makes face look shiny after application
- Takes about 10-15 minutes to soak in to skin and become natural looking

I have found this to be an absolutely perfect moisturizer. I apply it after BP and it takes away all the unpleasant side effects. It looks shiny at first and takes a little while to soak all the way in, but once it does my skin is perfectly moisturized and natural looking. I love how smooth it makes my skin as well. It's also very pleasant and cool feeling going on, which helps a lot after a stressful day. I have never found a facial moisturizer that even begins to compare to how well this works. I've used all different brands of aloe vera gel and not just this one with the same great results. Just make sure whatever you buy doesn't have alcohol or lidocaine (some of them do).

Pros:

1. Most breakouts are caused by stress. Stress=hot=breakouts | Aloe Vera=cool=lessens stress. 2. With Vitamin E & C, it replenishes the face and acts as an immune booster. 3. Because it is a natural burn remedy, it reduces redness and inflamation.

Cons:

Does make skin a tad tight if over-used HOWEVER, if a moisturizer is used just as often as you put on the Aloe Vera, the problem goes away.

I use CVS 100% Aloe Vera ($2.99) and CVS Skin Treatment Oil ($9.99) on my acne scars. To help with the occasional dry / flakyness, I use Aveeno lotions and moisturizers since I have sensative skin. For $13.00 total for my "kit", you really have nothing to lose but to try it. I apply everything 3x a day and have been using it for a week. Using the Skin Treatment Oil makes my blemishes go away within 2 days and helps me not to pop them (which is great so I can minimize scarring). So far the Aloe Vera has lessened the appearance of my scars. FYI to girls - DO NOT TAN in hopes of getting rid of your acne scars. It makes them more visable and red.
