Smooth and glowing
My acne prone skin is normally pretty sensitive. Naturally with the ingredient glycolic ACID I was a little hesitant about trying it out. I'm so happy I did. Although I still have moderate acne, my skin that's not affected by the acne is incredibly smooth and glowing. A lot of reviews on here mention that the product burns, but I've noticed that my skin only burned while using this with the acne.org regimen. While on the regimen my skin was EXTREMELY dry and irritated so I definitely felt the AHA when applied after the BP. At night I currently use a Neutrogena cleanser and then mix in the AHA with a Neutrogena moisturizer and it doesn't burn AT ALL. Regardless I think it's worth adding into your current skin care routine, I saw results after one use :)

Question for the community
I am not using the acne regimen recommended on this site, but my own regimen (Dudu Osun African black soap and moisturizer (Eucerin)). My acne is so far contained, just for a few spots here and there. My question is therefore, could I use still use the AHA+ on its own, in order to get rid of the acne scars? I have large pores around my cheek area and pigmentation. Can I use the AHA+ without using the acne.org regimen? Thank you very much for any suggestions =)

Hello Grand! I think there's no indication to use AHA+ ONLY with The Regimen. The AHA+ lotion itself is already another treatment apart (for scars and hyperpigmentation) from The Regimen, but can also go in the place of the standard mosturizer that comes with the kit. Although I think it works best with the other products of the brand, I think you could give it a try! Good luck. See ya.

AWESOMENESS!
With each use, my skin becomes smoother and smoother. I've dealt with hyper-pigmentation most of my life, as I'm one of the lucky ones. But now that my skin is acne-free from the benzoyl peroxide, my scars are now also starting to fade. Also, my clogged pores are pretty much gone. Bottom line: Give it a go!

This product has been a miracle

Pros:

Makes your skin smooth
Can stop pimples pretty well (or make them surface quickly)
Exfoliates your face

Cons:

Makes your skin sensitive to the sun (use a sunscreen)
A little expensive
Can sting for a little while after applying it

Dan's AHA+ has made my skin better and better. At first, I was very skeptical in purchasing this to use alongside Dan's regimen. I finally bought some when I ordered my next kit, and boy, that was the best decision I had ever made. I use AHA+ daily and it makes my skin super smooth-looking and flake free. Yes, it burns. Yes, it's a little expensive. Most importantly, YES, it works! This, alongside Dan's regimen, packs a powerful punch that will help your skin clear up that much faster. Feel like you're about to get a pimple? Gently rub some AHA+ on the area and it'll surface by morning or even disappear completely (well, almost). I don't think BP can do what this does! With gentle exfoliation (psst....baking soda), this product will soon be your best friend.

Pros:

Improves skin texture, reduces red marks, lightweight, no terrible scent, works great as a spot treatment. I've noticed a drastic improvement in the tone and texture of my skin.

Cons:

My skin looks a little flushed immediately after applying. I don't mind this as it's really just the nature of an AHA+ product.

I love this product. I use this every night after applying Dan's benzoyl peroxide. I found Alpha Hydrox AHA Enhanced Lotion to be extremely irritating and horrible on my skin; Dan's AHA+ is far superior and non-irritating for my skin. I really love it.

Pros:

Reduces red post-acne marks
Calms skin
Reduces scarring
Evens out skin tone
Cheap
Calms irritated/inflamed skin

Cons:

Stings a bit
Thick and sticky if you use too much

This stuff is great. I've noticed a big improvement in my skin since I started using it. I use it every night instead of a moisturizer. It doesn't make pimples disappear overnight, but I find that if I start applying it regularly on those deep, painful pimples as soon as they start to form, then they'll gradually disappear over a week and never get too red or large. Basically, they don't get too noticeable and they don't get to the point when I get self-conscious about them. That's pretty good! I've had a lot of problems with post-acne red marks on my skin and the AHA really evened out my skin tone and reduced my scarring. The only downside is that it's a bit too thick and sticky to wear under makeup. If you're using it with any other skin products, it'll have to be the last thing that you put on. It stings a bit sometimes, but I have very sensitive, fair skin and I haven't had any irritation. I use it all over my face, even on areas that don't break out (like my cheeks) and I have had comments from people that I look less tired, and healthier. Overall, it's a fantastic product. Thank you so much, Dan!!

Pros:

Evens skin tone, easy to use, great texture, multitasking item!

Cons:

Increased sensitivity to sun

This stuff rocks!!! After years of wearing shirts with high necks and avoiding sleeveless tops, I'm beyond thrilled to have found something that banishes my chest and back acne. I have even been getting compliments on my "beautiful" skin and friends say that my complexion is "glowing". I truly thought I'd never see the day. I apply to my face at night only, and to my chest and back twice a day after using mild cleanser. I simply swap the AHA+ for my night lotion, and in the morning my skin texture is improved and my tone is nicely evened out. It also quickly reduces the size and redness of any pimples that emerge if I slack off on applying :P I love the price, I love the ease of use, and most of all I love that it WORKS! Thanks Dan :)

Pros:

Works FAST
Makes skin feel clean
Easy to apply

Cons:

None really...slight stinging, but that's how you know it's working I assumed

This WORKS. I had light-moderate back and chest acne and my dermatologist had put me on pill after pill, to no avail. I tried this on a whim, combined with the acne.org cleanser, and I was incredibly impressed with the results. My face, chest and back cleared up within a month and my continued usage of the products is, I think, helping reduce my scars (which the derm said should fade on their own anyway). I highly recommend this product to anyone with body acne...it could very well be the best solution out there!!

The AHA+ really takes your skin to the next level when BP alone still leaves you with the odd pimple here or there. BP cleared my skin up tremendously, but the AHA+ used as a moisturizer about 10 mins after BP application really helps with controlling flakes and zaps the most stubborn acne that sometimes just seems to linger, even when on a BP regimen. Use it! But make sure to use an SPF moisturizer when using this and/or BP, because they do both make you're skin more prone to UV damage
