Very bad!
This is an awful product. My skin had a very bad reaction to it and I would NOT recommend it. It causes irritation and redness and increases acne.

did you try starting slowly by mixing it with a moisturizer so its less concentrate? Also they recommend not starting using this when you have active acne. You should try to contain your acne and start when its better...

Help

I achieved clear skin with the acne regimen and decided to incorporate AHA lotion to my routine but it broke me out bad :( any tips? Is this a normal reaction to the product?

That is normal at first, but if you stick it out your skin will clear and normalize , as in not be dry.

Didn’t work for me

This made me extremely oily and didn’t fade dark spots at all. I’m an AA female with hyperpigmentation/combo/oily/acne prone skin. Made me Oiler than I already am. Used for over a year with the regimen and no changes.

looking for help
I have been using and loving the three core products for about two years. Just like everyone else, I want something to clear the dark spots on my face. About a month ago, I began using the AHA and unfortunately it seems like all my progress I have made has gone to waste. I have breakouts almost everyday and my skin is dryer than ever before. I make sure to use sunblock every morning and understand there is suppose to be backlash period, but I'm wondering when I should see results. Also, anyone know of any other products to clear up dark spots?

I don't know much about your detailed usage. But I do have some solid experience with this product. This product is on the higher-ish spectrum of AHA concentration, so some caution should be used. For example, when starting out, maybe once a week is best for application. Also, consider adding in some Allatoin powder, and definitely an amino acid like Arginine. That will slow down the absorption and make it a bit more gentle. I've been in the same situation and I found that overall, less frequency and less amount of it is so much better. Feel free to track me down and pm me if you have any more questions. Good luck!

Wish I could give negative stars
I started using this product because I had a few dark spots from little bumps that I get in my T zone. This made me breakout on my entire face. Places that I never get acne I started to get acne. I thought it was just the product working and my skin getting used to it so I gave it a full month. I wish I had never used this produt. My face is full of dark spots now. I can't go anywhere without makeup anymore I am so depressed. PS. I have used a different brand glycolic acid before and it was amazing to my skin which is why I gave this one a try since it is such a large amount. Worst mistake ever will never buy again

Can I use this product alone?
I no longer struggle with acne, but I do have scars/hyperpigmenation. Can I use this product a lone to help remove my acne scars? Ignore my one star, I haven't used the product yet and I could only post this comment with a rating.

yeah you could use it by itself, but make sure to use sunscreen during the day since sun damage could darken your hyperpgimentation. Also you could use vitamin c, niacimide which help lighten the marks.

Pros:

It doesnt stay on long enough to have any pro's

Cons:

After I have it on and put on moisturizer etc. if anything touches my face the aha seems to just slowly flake off....

i thought the new formula would help but in my case it goes on ok but flakes off just the same as the old one. will not buy again.

Pros:

Works on Back acne

Cons:

Doesn't work on face

Worst mistake of my life was putting this stuff on my forehead. It has caused dark spots which won't go ahead and cause my forehead to keep breaking out.
