Buyer Beware -- Can Cause Perioral Dermatitis
I would strongly caution anyone from using this product. I used Acne.org AHA 10% for 6 months (in conjunction with their acne regimen) and out of the blue I got a red and flaky rash under both my eyes and the corner of my lip. I spent 3 months going to specialty dermatologist appointments (including getting a skin biopsy under my eye and multiple antibiotic rounds and prescription skin creams) to figure out the cause. The dermatologist determined I had some sort of contact or allergic dermatitis and I stopped using all my face products. Upon using this product after my face completely cleared - my rash returned. The dermatologist ultimately determined this product directly caused my perioral dermatitis and put me back on steroid creams to clear it back up again. Customer service also refused to refund my money, stating: "Unfortunately, even if you do return these orders to us, we can no longer issue a refund on your order since it has already been past our 60 day return policy. We do mention this on our site." Look at my gallery for progress photos.

Thanks for re-posting and that's despicable that they removed your comment to protect their products. We SUFFER with acne and this site is supposed to help with that, not to mention the amount of money that's spent;wow.

Wasn't it a error mixing both treatments?

Hello, I am sorry this happened to you, I hope you will find a long term solution soon... I have one question tho ( so I don't make the same mistake )  Did you apply the regimen ( or the AHA alone ) right under your eyes ? It looks so close from your mouth/ eyes that I am surprised that you put it in such sensitive zones.  Thank you and good luck  Mona

This website says that after using BPO for a time that you can use the 10% AHA also in order to diminish the acne scarring. I followed the instructions to a T and this is what happened to me. No, I did not apply it right under my eyes.

Don't give up!!!!
I am a veteran at the acne care regimen. I developed acne 2 1/2 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. It was my first time ever getting acne in my life. I thought my acne would disappear once I had my son, but it continued to get worse and worse. I tried different products and my face looked awful. The acne left behind dark spots and my self esteem went down. My face is very oily !!!One day while doing research, I came across this regimen. The benzoyl peroxide did wonders to my face. It is important to know that even though I have oily skin it is still extremely important to moisturize. Now after 2 1/2 years I decided to try the AHA glycolic acid. I hope it improves my skin even more. I still get breakouts from time to time, especially when I stray away from the regimen, but for the most part my skin looks beautiful. I hope one day I will eventually outgrow acne, being that I'm 28 years old and been dealing with it for years. Thank God for the acne regimen !!!!!

AHA burn
I've been using the regimen for a month and yesterday I put on AHA, but I didn't dilute it and it "burned" my skin. What should I do? Do I treat it like a sunburn?

Hold off on AHA until the burn goes away, once you start using it again dilute it with your facial moisturizer/oil. use it every other night once a day. best of luck to you!

What you can do is use just a pinch of AHA with your moisturizer. So about a nickel size amount in your palm but having it consist of half AHA and half moisturizer. Works great for me

aha can sting, i dont think it burned, the ph isnt low enough to cause a burn. stinging with aha is common the first few uses. i would ease into using it or even apply a light facial serum (if you use one) before using the aha

made red bumps
i tried the aha on my face as a once a week treatment two times a day and my skin turned red raw and the only normal part of my skin tone was around my mouth but my cheeks, forehead and chin where inflamed now i did the skin test so goodness knows whats happening with my skin right now been using it for 3 months the acne regimen and its just made me forehead dry and wrinkle i have wrinkles on my forehead that i never had before!!! i slather the moisturiser but it just doesnt help. i really thought that this would help with my acne regimen but i tried to do the bp wait till it dries then aha for pimples that might be coming through and my red acne scars without using bp on them i went to take off the aha and i saw where i had placed the aha it made raised bumps of my skin like if i was to be stung by a stinging nettle. i wasn't sure of what happened i placed one part aha and bp after each other as directed for the pimple and it made 2 pores widen and made my pores leak out clear fluid. it had raised up my acne scars and caused them to be even more prominent than when i hadn't done anything now my cheeks where the cystic acne scars are have now been raised and i look like ive rubbed my face with a nettle leaf. really really dissapointed with this product. just anyone who tries this be careful i wouldnt want others to go through what ive got to deal with now!!!!

If you read the instructions it clearly states to use the AHA 2-3 a week, not twice a day. Then it says to alternately mix the AHA with the moisturizer. This specific pruduct is for advanced treatment which is not the same as their other products.

Question
I've only been on the regimen for about two weeks. The instructions say to use the glycolic acid after one month of being on the regimen but I find that my real problem are just red marks/blemishes. I get pimples but it's not severe. Is it bad that I started using it too early? I mix it with the acne.org moisturizer.

Hey! It's not bad :) I don't even do the regiment and I emailed them to ask if I could use that even if I dont use their regiment. They said that if I dont have active acne, then I should go ahead! By your description its pretty much the same as me :) I do this for marks!! It helps! plus the texture of my skin is like its never been!

Amazing stuff
Every time I use this people comment on how good my skin looks. I get questions about how it's so good. This stuff hydrates and exfoliates your skin from the inside out. It gives your skin a healthy glow which is why it looks so healthy after application. Use this stuff as Daniel Kern recommends!!

I would use this only in the evenings, because it's an acid, it can break down your makeup.
