Pros:

Makes my skin look incredible

Cons:

NONE

I use this product as directed: I worked it into my regimen after my skin had become accustomed to everything else; I only use the AHA every other night. The product was pretty painful in the beginning but the stinging absolutely wore off. The morning after I use AHA my flakes are gone and my scars and hyperpigmentation have disappeared. Miracle product here!

How long did it take ?

Pros:

Skin feels smooth
Heals existing acne faster
Prevents future breakouts
No more whiteheads

Cons:

Smell
Stings initially
When used for the first time, it brings all the acne that was hidden under the skin(purging period)

Since 6th grade, I've never had clear skin. Even on good days, there would be one or two acne that would continuously appear. I'm 21 now, and recently discovered BHA and AHA. The combination of the two completely cleared my skin. I use aspirin toner(Witch hazel, tea tree oil, aspirin tabs) before applying AHA. Initially for the first few days of using this product, my skin purged the acne that was hidden beneath the skin. After that, it was all clear skin :) My face feels super smooth and soft. I still can't believe that I've spent all my Jr.High and High school year without knowing about BHA/AHA. I wish I could go back and tell my old self the secret!

Pros:

It works - does everything it says it will

Cons:

None - at all

I hate lengthy reviews, so here it is plain and simple. I started using this in December, and I am now completely clear. I dont use anything else, except a basic facial wash. I use this at night, with one generous application. Stinging - not really. Maybe a little once in a while but nothing like the SA I have used before. It also DOES NOT really increase sensitivity to the sun for me. It really depends on your face and skin. I haven't noticed any tendency to burn since I started using this, and I have a medium complexion and blonde hair. Anyway, I am clear, I would recommend to anyone. Even if you dont have acne, it makes your skin so soft and hydrated, I literally glow now!

Pros:

After a few months, all my inflamed acne and cysts are gone. Just blackheads and rare whiteheads remain. I've been using it on my face, neck and chest. I plan to start using it on my back too. Scaring is fading. I don't need to use a moisturizer anymore. I'm too OCD about peroxide bleaching, so this is a wonderful alternative.

Cons:

Stings sometimes maybe, it's an acid after all.

I've been using a 10% benzoyl peroxide wash in the shower and the AHA once or twice a day. I do not wash my face with soap ever. This has been almost a miracle, even though it took several months. I was a dog groomer and I still have hair splinters in my neck that are working their way out, but this is definitely speeding up the process.

Pros:

Smooths rough skin
Great for older (40+ skin)
Seems to help in fighting new blemishes and helping heal those that already appear
Fairly good at keep skin moisturized

Cons:

Can sting a bit
Can cause a bit of initial redness (goes away after 10 min. or so)

About a year ago I broke out with horrific bumps (large, red, sore) all around the right side of my chin and under the right side of my nose. I have no idea what caused it, but I found the acne.org site and was reviewing products and decided to try this. I was also put on Acana. Within about 1 month the sores were gone. I still have one red mark from the one under my nose, but I have no other sign that I got this strange breakout. I have never had bad acne so this was pretty bad. I had to get 7 cortisone injections and this caused severe indentations in my skin (normal for cortisone injections). It took 8 months for the skin to return to normal. I am convinced that the alpha hydroxy helped in that process as well. It is very worth a try.

Pros:

seems to help new red marks/ new pimples
exfoliates well

Cons:

Can leave a burning sensation for a few minutes

can leave face looking red if you use a lot

I would recommend applying this to any new red marks or pimples that are developing, and on old red marks a few times per week. This can also be used all over your face as a good moisturizer/ and can help you exfoliate, but be prepared for redness for several hours!

Pros:

-Goes on easy
-Works GREAT with Benzoyl Peroxide
-Doubles as a moisturizer
-Leaves skin smooth and supple

Cons:

-Burns/Stings
-Sun Sensitivity, you need SPF

I am so happy I got this. I was a bit weary because I read a couple reviews about it making acne worse but I was one of the lucky ones. This works great with BP, it's like the trusty sidekick you always wanted. It's great for moisturizing, so there's one less thing to put on your face at morning/night. I can't really say it helps acne disappear instantly, or anything, but it for sure helps with hyper-pigmentation and it leaves your skin very supple. There is a slight sting with this product, but it can sting a lot in some areas especially if you use it on a popped pimple or anything you have been picking at. So it gives you one more reason to not touch your face! I don't get why everyone rips on the smell, I think it's not really a problem. It doesn't smell good, but it doesn't smell horrid like everyone says it does. It just has it's own distinct smell.

Pros:

Acne almost gone
fading post-acne scaring
moisturizing

Cons:

none so far ..don't mind the stinging as long as it works

I have been using this in conjunction with the Murad Clarifying cleanser and Murad supplements (the only Murad products that actually work for me) and I have seen a wonderful improvement in my skin over the past two weeks. If I start to get any breakout this AHA+ wipes them out and leaves them very small and manageable, very easy to cover with a little concealer (I prefer Cover FX from sephora, if you have acne and you have never used this makeup ladies your missing out). Anyway, I can actually go to the gym without makeup now without feeling self conscious, which is a feeling I haven't felt in months...and it's all thanks to this AHA+...it works...Thanks Daniel!!! The price I paid includes the shipping fee.
