Oily skin, big pores, hormonal acne, hyper pigmentation
Ever since I hit 20 I have been suffering from hormonal breakouts (at first I had lots and lots on my cheeks which has left me with hyper pigmentation). I have treated my acne with eating healthy and natural, topical things like black african soap and turmeric. I still get pimples, but I am stuck with a uneven skin tone and hyper pigmentation which makes my skin look far worse than it actually is! Turmeric and lemon juice has helped lighten the marks but I just need that one kick to help my skin. I have oily skin and big pores, so my face is prone to acne if I wear makeup or irritate it. I stumbled upon AHA while searching about hyper pigmentation...I had never heard of it before and actually thought the price of this AHA+ was pretty expensive, but it was worth a go if all the reviews were so good, right!? Last night was my third night wearing it. I was expecting it to sting my face like a lot of the other reviewers said, but it hasn't. My skin seems to like it. When I wake up, my skin looks so much better. It's calmed the pimples I had from a week of eating junk food. My skin looks more even! I'm only giving it 4 stars because I'm only on day 3. But I will update later and let you know if it's changed my skin and helped the red spots disappear! So far I'm loving it. I really hope this is everything I've been looking for!

Love it
I've been using this for about 4 months now. It's great. Gets rid of all of my dry skin. It does burn the majority of the days I use it, but I can deal with it. I also feel like my hyperpigmintation is slowly fading since I started using this.

Pros:

Took my skin from 90% clear to 99.9% clear. I got 90% clear through diet, just getting an occasional, small break out of two or three spots, maybe once a month. After I started using AHA+ my skin became perfectly clear, almost as though I never had acne. The skin tone evened out. Red marks fade quicker. Having this product gives me peace of mind. My advice: don't use too much, allow your skin to get used to it. When I first started, if I put a lot of it on, it could make my skin a bit red.

excellent product.

How often do you use it?

Pros:

Acne.org AHA completely cleared up moderate inflamed adult bacne! Thank you!!

- easy to apply
- did not feel greasy
- leaves back feeling smooth all day

Cons:

- slight odour, goes away after drying

I had taken accutane over 15 years ago when my face was a complete disaster. Since then I was acne free through most of my 20's. Once in my 30's I started getting bacne. Sometimes just a small pimple here and there, but often it became large inflamed nodes that were painful and embarrassing (in the locker room, or intimate situations). I lived with it hoping it would go away, but in the past year it got a lot worse so I decided to put an end to it. I tried everything before the Acne.org AHA; Prescribed Minocycline, Prescription BP (which ruined plenty of clothes and sheets), and then mostly different types of Salicylic Acids (Nature's Cure worked quite well for a while, but never totally cleared up). Finally decided to give the AHA+ a try when I had at least 4-5 major painful zits on my back and upcoming plans to go to the waterslides (not a good situation!). After just 3 days twice-daily use (post shower and pre-bed) my back was on the mend. I've been using it now for just over 6 weeks and my back is smoother than ever, and I've had only 3 manageable pimples on my back which were more like whiteheads as opposed to the deep under-skin exploding puss type. For those cases I added a bit of the Salicylic back into the routine in combination with the AHA and they were gone in a day. If you're suffering from adult bacne I cannot recommend this product enough. The price is right and the bottles last quite a long time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Pros:

Keeps face clear and moisturized.

Cons:

When you put it over a cut, it BURNS! Other than that...none.

It's a great product. It stings the first time I used it, but as I keep using it, it gradually stops until I get some type of cut on my face, then it would burn for several minutes. My face is not very sensitive so I didn't have much of a reaction to it. When my little sister used it however, her face blew up. She stopped using it of course, so if you have sensitive skin, I would advise you to not use this product or at least use it sparingly. This product really works for me and it's probably a product I can't live without. I put it on only at night. I used to have really bad acne, but ever since I use this product and other acne.org along with other products my skins been clear ever since. At night I use: Neutrogena Wave, St. Ives Apricot Scrub (the off brand one), AHA, acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide. In the morning I use: St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Clean and Clear Salicylic Moisturizer, Vaseline Total Moisture. Monthly cost averages about $14.

Pros:

I have seen a dramatic improvement in my red marks, beginning in the first month. I am very pleased. It does not aggravate my sensitive skin.

Cons:

It balls up a bit if you put on too much, and I can't wear it during the day underneath make up. No biggie.

This product works to moisturize skin while reducing red marks and smoothing out your skin. Use this product and stay out of the sun (wear SPF) if you want to fade the red marks.

Pros:

Works amazingly for me...

Cons:

smells bad...balling effect? Not if you know how to rub it (easy as f!@#)

I've used Dan's regimen since 2005. I decided to try this because his other stuff worked. And let me tell you! This stuff made my skin improve dramatically within 3 weeks of use. I'm in my 3rd week now. Most noticeable thing about AHA was it faded scars FAST (1 week) and red spots also disappeared FAST. I use the regimen as directed, then I use this in place of moisturizer every night. It smells bad, and stings a tiny bit, but I'm going to sleep. No one's watching. Who care's. When I wake up, my skin literally looks better. No joke, and no exaggeration. This stuff works like Dan said. Maybe it's not for everyone, but you HAVE to at least try this. I would strongly recommend using Dan's products before over the counter SH!T. And no he didn't pay me to write this. I just believe in products that work.

It will improve your skin, but...
at the cost of sensitivity. There's just no getting around that the glycolic acid feels like a peel, even if you only use a small amount. The cost/benefit is something you personally have to figure out. This did improve the look of my dark spots/scars, but minimally. The thing about all of these skin products, I'm thinking that one has to have an exit plan. Otherwise you are using them the rest of your life. Which is exactly the way they want it. To be sure, Dan is the most honest of the bunch, but still, I'm trying to get away from all of these products and learn to accept my skin.
