Pros:

Advantage spot treatment works very quickly to dry out the skin and reduce the size of pimples.

Cons:

As it dries out skin, it leaves red spots on the face.

Choose this product if you'd rather have dry skin and red marks. I'm really worried about how long the redness is going to last on my face. That's the price to pay to reduce pimple size in using this product.

This barely helped at all and I think because it dried my skin so much, I just got more acne because my skin generated oil to moisturize itself. ****works well for short-term use**** If you need a quick fix, this is it. But don't rely on this for years, or even months.

50/50
I've had mixed reactions with this product, it recently helped reduce the size of larger inflamed pimples but on blackheads it's useless..I used to use this all the time when I was in high school and would slather it all over my face and it worked for very light acne. I don't know if they've changed the formula but I find it completely useless now. I recently tried using the product because of my past results when I was desperate for a spot treatment, however it went 50/50 on whether or not it would work. It never completely cleared a pimple or blackbead or whitehead, only sometimes reduced the size. I noticed it also made my skin more oily which did not help blackheads or whiteheads making them worse. This product may work for you like it used to for me about 6 years ago or it could be as I just described. It's worth a try but it's no miracle product.

Used to LOVE this stuff
I actually used to love this stuff a bunch. I ran out a while back and never rebought because I went the "holistic route" (OCM and natural moisturizers, etc.). But when I used this, it helped a bunch! I'm kinda surprised at the negative reviews. This was one of the best spot treatments I had; it helped significantly reduce the size of my pimples.

Burning Sensation.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Harsh Chemicals
Smells Bad
Makes Acne Worse

I first saw Clean & Clear's Acne Spot Treatment advertised in Seventeen magazine for a "miracle cure." The bottle costed around $13 CA. I didn't think it was that bad, considering the cost of makeup and I was desperate for a cure. The first time I applied Clean & Clear, it felt like my skin was being eaten away by harsh chemicals. I understood that it was the gist of the product, and continued to use it. My cousin, nineteen years old, has dry skin/moderate acne. She tried this product and her skin was inflamed, (more) dry and irritated. Me, on the other hand, with combination skin (oily T-zone) and moderate acne, had my skin inflamed, irritated, dried out and the effects were horrible. It made my acne worse!

Pros:

Easy to apply
Feels great on your skin
Not oily
Good for dry and sensitive skin

Cons:

If the cleanser gets in your eyes, it burns
It's not odor-free

It not only got rid of my current acne, but it lightened my skin from the acne scars and it prevents acne outbreaks. I prefer this over Proactiv.
