Pros:

Skin wasn't oily

Cons:

Didn't stop my acne
Expensive

My face got use to it. And I heard that the mask that comes with it is bad for you. Sulfur isn't good for your skin. Pretty much, it sucks. It contains what most other acne solutions contain.

Pros:

smells good.
not very expensive.

Cons:

flat out didnt work for me.

tried it for two months, not a week went by without a breakout.

toner runs out so much faster than the other two bottles, even when using the recommended dosage.

Im sure this may work for some, but for my acne, (oily skin, moderate/severe) it didnt have any effect. so if your skin is like mine, dont bother even trying.

Pros:

-Refining mask (old formula only)
-Nothing else.

Cons:

-Dry skin
-Expensive
-False advertising

I don't recommend proactive, it made my skin very very dry and didn't help with my acne. The only thing that worked was the refining mask the fist 3 I got, but the 4th one for some reason made my acne even worst, probably they changed the formula or something. I will never buy proactive again !

Pros:

None

Cons:

Completely dried my skin
made skin red and tender
Takes too long to put on
Made acne 10 times worst, in new places i never before got acne!!!

This sucks and i cant believe its still on the market!! My acne became worse and skin hurt. It aged me by about 10years during the first week!!!!!! I started using Clinques line of acne care and noticed results overnight!! No new breakouts and is helping to correct the damage done by proactive! I HATED IT AND WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN!

Pros:

None really

Cons:

Expensive
Drying
Smells bag
Time consuming

I had to have one of my parents purchase this for me while I was in college because it was so expensive and nothing else was working. They are very secretive about their products, so I wanted to know what these magical products were that gave such good results (as seen on TV). It's nothing more than 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cleanser with a very coarse exfoliator, a toner, and a moisturizer. You can find 10% benzoyl peroxide gel at the drug store for a fraction of the cost. The cleanser was so coarse that my skin started flaking off, and that's almost impossible to do because I have eczema with scales and need to exfoliate daily. I had to go down to once a day and then once every other day, but then the oil starts building up so I had to get another cleanser to use in between anyway. The toner did nothing at all, so I stopped using it between the cleanser and moisturizer. The moisturizer was too light for the really coarse exfoliant, so I would need to apply it, let it dry, and repeat 1-2 more times. The instructions said that your face had to COMPLETELY dry before going onto the next step, so I was spending about an hour on my face every day (30 minutes/2x day). If I could have bought just the moisturizer by itself, I would have but they only offered an expensive "subscription" plan where you have to buy everything and they will automatically deduct it from your credit card and ship it. No thank you! I have tried so many prescription and non-prescription products, and this is a major dud. A Dove pink beauty bar, St. Ive's apricot scrub, a light moisturizer, and benzoyl peroxide gel will do better a job for probably 1/4-1/2 the cost.

Pros:

None

Cons:

I thought it was working bc it really exfoliated my skin. I had NEVER had acne before in my life and then I hit 32 and bam! my skin changed. I look at my skin before proactive and it was so much better!

The issue is I used proactive long enough for it to change my skin's natural process. I used to use a lot of moisturizer bc my skin was always dry. Then proactive made me break out like crazy at first but by the time 8 weeks rolled around I kept hoping that better skin was just a couple more weeks ahead. then I gave up on it and experienced a TRULY horrible breakout. I am using it again bc I have so much and it was worse when I stopped bc essentially it has created a situation where now my skin needs it. Now I want to stop and then I will have 3 mos of super horrible acne and hopefully then my skin will calm down. I have no idea who this product would work for.

Pros:

None

Cons:

- Expensive
-Horrible Customer service
- They automatically bill you for products that you will recieve well into the future (I'm talking like 5-6 months into the future)
-Canceling your account is hassle. You'll be put on hold for an incredibly long time.

- If you have dry sensitive skin, stay away from this stuff. It makes your skin worse.
- The cream causes whiteheads.

- The toner seems to be completely useless.

Stay away from this crap.

Cons:

Watch out! When you order by internet, you are agreeing to belong to a CLUB! The product may work, but no one should need a supply every month - in fact, the last step topical is all you need.

Felt scammed

Pros:

slowed breakouts.

Cons:

Left my skin Dry and flaky.

Helped slow down the breakouts but left my skin super dry and flaky. even with moisturizer. they set you up on shipment after shipment so you will never catch them on time to cancel. they'll have already sent you another. i know they say it takes longer than a couple weeks. but my face literally hurt more using this than the breakouts themselves. i breakout around my chin area but was told to use all over my face anyway.. well it made me breakout in areas i dont normally breakout in. my skin is not sensitive to bp but this was just to harsh for my skin. best skin to use this with is very oily sking. otherwise it will dry you really bad.
