Pros:

It seemed to work for the first couple months but then all of a sudden it stopped working.

Cons:

made my forehead shine and did not last long

buy something else

Pros:

it helps reduce the size of zits and if you use it at night your pimples will go away.

Cons:

LEAVES YOUR SKIN EXTEMELY OILY. i could fry chiken off of my face. my skin was never oily before proactive and now even when i stop using it the oil never goes away. it is very strong on skin

proactive is for people with serious acne. if you have a few problem areas it becomes too strong for your face. i use it at night then use other products during the day like anti oil stuff because my skin is so oily.

Pros:

It leaves your skin feeling soft and clean after application

Cons:

It depigmented my skin leaving white spots where my acne was. Starts to feel greasy after the initial "fresh" feeling is gone.

It didn't work for me. It left my skin looking worse than before I started using it. Makes me more self concious with these ugly white spots I had to tan away.. but even then they are there. THANKS PROACTIV!

Pros:

works good, cleared up my acne.

Cons:

after a while it doesn't work any more. the toner burns.

it's deffinately not worth the price. Why get it if it's just going to stop working?

Pros:

Usually works well, cleans skin, non-irritating, reduces acne overall

Cons:

Doesn't always prevent breakouts, doesn't help with oily skin, EXPENSIVE, annoying to wait for mail shipments, can't skip a treatment

I had a pretty bad case of acne since middle school, and everything else I used just aggravated it. I tried Proactiv and it worked pretty quickly, so I stuck with it for years. It IS effective - just not all the time. Big zits still flare up pretty frequently. The only difference is that the product makes them go away a little faster than they would otherwise. I'm currently looking for another treatment to switch to. It's good stuff, but it's not the miracle that the infomercials say.

Pros:

cleanser really good, and sulfur mask does a good job in cleansing face.

Cons:

does take awhile...dont really like oiliness of the toner

Pros:

it clears your skin for a short time. it makes your skin feel clean

Cons:

it dries your skin A LOT!! it doesnt really work. waste of MOney!

i have been using this product for like about 2 and a half years. and i was so stupid, i didnt even have acne. i got 2 small pimples and then i saw this commercial on tv how proactiv makes your skin look so beautiful and it stops breakouts, so i went ahead and bought it. since that day, i jus wish, i could go back in time and never have used this product in teh first place. this product ruined my natural oil balance. I dont have severe acne, but i dont have a clear face either!

Pros:

skin becomes soft and future blemishes go away in less days than they would on their own. skin looks clearer and more balanced.

Cons:

products stains/bleaches everything the cleanser and cream touches. does not have a moisturizer so i wouldn't consider this product for dry conditioned skin/ areas on face. a little expensive. my blemishes are still coming back at same places on face

it's worth a try if you have the money and the patience (to not have anything colored near you when using it (clothes, wash cloth, pjs, etc...)). It took me a little while to understand what was causing the bleaching... so i ended up with a brand new pj and sheet set ruined... I think the 1-2 min scrubbing the face with the cleanser is not necessary and would actually maybe provoke more blemishes. After I finish with the products, I'll try something else if the main ingredient to use is BP. Oh! and if travelling close bottles firmly as the toner and cleanser tend to drip.

Pros:

okayy this stuff really sucks!! i mean the first two days that i used it my skin was glowing and shiny and smooth but it would burn when i used it!!

Cons:

but its been more than a week and my face is really in pain! it burns and is irratating the whole three step process burnt my skin!and now my skin is very red and dry.

if you have sensitive skin DO NOT buy this product because it burns really bad and once you quit you break out worse!i hardly have acne!just small acne whichis hardly noticeable!but once you stop using it for good you might break out a little bit but it will go away on its own!! try noxeema its GREAT!

Pros:

The product smelled good and the refining mask worked great for my red marks.

Cons:

It made me breakout a little bit extra and even when i continued to use it, i saw no improvement.

Proactiv isn't that great for sensitive skin types and made me have the acne that i have to deal with today. Before i used it, i had mild acne, now that i used it it made me breakout WORSE and im stuck with red marks everywhere now. Dont risk worsening your skin with proactiv because it'll come back and bite you in the "you know what".
