Pros:

Smells alright.

Cons:

Didnt work on acne.
Left me feeling helpless.
Made acne worse than before i started using proactiv.

This product makes me steaming mad. Every time i used this product my skin felt incredibly greasy then dried out later. The Proactiv commercials are so fake, i bunch of paid actors and actresses with photoshopped pictures, think about it, if you have severe acne you probably wont be clearing up without a trace of scars left. When I ordered proactiv, i was so excited. When I got the product and started using it, it made my skin horrible. The automatic billing charged 40 bucks a shipment for product that wasnt even arriving to my house. With all the excess product laying around, i have tried it several times with that same result. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. GO NATURAL. Your skin will never clear up when your slathering harsh chemicals on it.

Pros:

has everything you need with the 3 steps, scrub, toner and treatment.

Cons:

expensive, doesn't work

i have tried proactiv for 3 years, and it helped a LITTLE bit. I stopped and went to my dermatologist and he said to NOT keep using it. He also said that it is the same medication you could buy with over-the-counter products. Ever since he prescribed me new products and told me to cut it out, my acne has gotten so much better. The only thing I still use from it is the Oil-Free Moisturizer. Thats the best thing of the system. I would say to save your money and spend it on a dermatologist appointment!

Cons:

-expensive
-doesn't work

This is definitely not a product for teens. I used these products for 3 years and my acne never went away. They kept saying you just need to keep trying with it... But it just didn't work. Don't waste your money!

Pros:

It worked in the beginning

Cons:

cost is high

It worked while I was using it. After I stopped my acne was worse than it ever had been. I have acne so bad with out breaks that I never had before. Proactive clearly made my skin worse. It seems to have altered my bodies hormonal balance.

Pros:

there are none

Cons:

it makes your acne worse
drys up your skin really bad

Don't waste your time or money with buying this product. It made my skin even worse than it already was. If you have moderate to severe acne i would prefere accutane. It only takes a few months and it is so worth it. my face is completely cleared up now, not after using the proavtive crap. Plus after I started using it my face got really ichy and I found out that I was allergic to something in it and i had to stop as soon as possible. So don't listen to the comercials for proavtive cause its all bull****.

Pros:

Worked for the first couple days

Cons:

Made me breakout worse than anything else and made my face itchy. Left me with pitted acne scars.

I have tried just about everything to have clear, nonoily skin including accutane(which worked great but was not worth the health risk). I had first tried ProActive about 6 years ago for a couple weeks and got a horrible breakout and rash. The CS rep told me, when I called to cancel the autodelivery, that it's supposed to do that and I needed to keep using for at least 30 days but I said no way. I then found a facialist who helped calm my skin but the ProActive experience left me with horrible pits and scars. It took thousands of $$, peels, 1 round of accutane and over 4 years to smooth my complexion. I still had super oily skin and an occasional pimple. Well my facialist moved to another state, back to square one. Tried several other facialists and product lines, started having about 3-5 daily pimples and the facials were getting too expensive. Fell for the infomercials again thinking maybe I need to use it longer. 3 mos, same reaction but even worse scars than before! Beware!

Pros:

Nothing. NOTHING!

Cons:

Expensive, and it's JUNK! Chemicals aren't good for your skin! Benzoyl peroxide and methylparaben are TOXIC to the body. They cause cancer in lab rats. And yes Proactiv tests on animals! CRUEL!

I totally wasted my money on this stuff. It irritated my skin. Overall it didn't fix anything. And I want to punch that blond bimbo Jessica Simpson every time I see the add. LIAR! Slick marketing.. don't be fooled! It's no better than regular acne products. To be honest, I have been using a mask of baking soda and water, and it has been the only thing that gets rid of my acne! Baking soda is better than anything I've ever used before. And it's natural!
