Terrible Product. Terrible Company.
The treatment didn't work for me and caused major irritation leaving my skin peeling and raw. I will also say that proactive has the worst customer service department I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They took my credit card information at the time of purchase but didn't actually charge my account and then sent me to collections for a product I thought I had already paid for. I spent month attempting to work out the situation. The representatives were horrible, rude, and didn't give me the information I needed to clear the account. Proactive is a complete rip off and horrendously managed to boot. If I could give it no stars I would. Don't waste your money.

Cons:

Never use this product. It is such a horrible thing to use. And top of that they charge you for the products which you never recieved. Even though I ask them to cancel my subscription after 15 days, they send me more 2 packages which I never received. They had my phone number, email I'd and still they made me default and send my account to debt collection department. Very bad customer service and people there don't know how to speak. Guys these are thugs and liars.

Horrible product with horrible customer care.

Swelling
Pain
Burning
Itching

I tried this product twice (with two years time between). Both times, within hours of using it my skin felt as though it was stretched tightly across my face. Within a day, it appeared as though I had scaly skin on my face (like cracked mud in a drought). I thought, perhaps, that I had used too much of the product the first time, so I tried it again with a very small amount...same outcome. If you have sensitive skin, I'd stay far away from this product.

Pros:

Cleanser makes your skin feel soft

Cons:

at first felt as tho it was working, then broke my skin out so bad. Never had skin anywhere near as bad as this. 6months, on doctors prescriptions and still my face is a mess.

Very expensive hard to get your money back send out automatic shipments without really telling you made my light acne into really bad inflamed acne that I am finding to hard to get rid of!! Dont buy it

Pros:

-Did relieve my acne,

Cons:

- Takes a while to actually start working
- Can irritate skin a LOT (very drying, can sting, can make your face burn, causes redness, etc)
- Don't get it on your eyebrows, it will bleach them
- Very small bottles
- You must continue to use it EVERY day, or else the effectiveness will wear off

I think the price you pay for this is far too high, especially considering the fact that the amount you get is so small. I honestly thought Proactiv saved my life for the first 6 months-1 year, but after that it started to have the side effects mentioned in Cons, and I think in the end it did more harm than good. It does work, but what you have to pay (money and side effects) doesn't seem worth it.

They will steal money from your account and tell you they are doing you a courtesy. I bought one shipment and much to my surprise they sent out another kit without my authorization and charged my account. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Do yourself a HUGE favor.

Cons:

My two daughters saw improvement at first, but then acne got worse than before they started! Scarring type of acne. Took them to a Dermatologist that put them on antibiotics as well as gels, and washes. She said she sees this all the time. Plus, it's just expensive Oxy 10 kind of stuff.

Please do not buy this product!

Pros:

The promise of beautiful skin

Cons:

Totally dried out skin
Left my face feeling tight and irritated
Feels and looks liked I have aged 10 years over night

While there have obviously been some success stories, I think for it to work for you, you must have very oily skin and a really bad case of acne.. I am in my mid thirties and have been looking after my skin every morning and night since I was a teenager suffering from acne. I still get the odd break out but nothing bad until recently when I started to get very bad acne on my neck which I've never had before... So I thought I'd give proactiv a try as I see it all the time on TV and they make it seem like it works miracles!!! When placing my order I did express my concerns about my age and was reccommended I order the oil free moisturiser. Well I have given it a try, used as directed and would not recommend it to anyone over thirty or anyone with mild acne. There are better products out there that dont cost anywhere near as much. I am going back to my normal routine and hope that these new lines and wrinkles that have appeared on my face since starting the product will go away..

Pros:

Nothing other then free shipping when you first order.

Cons:

Not as great as they Advertised.
COSTS WAY TO MUCH.

You sign up for a 30 day trial(19.99) and they bill you after the 30 days for a 90 day(67.84) and if you DON'T want it you have to pay around $11 to send it back. And when you call to complain they tell you to send it back.

Pros:

-makes skin soft i guess
-works for a SHORT period of time
-thats about it

Cons:

-stains your clothes and washclothes!
-dries out skin, flaky skin
-stops working
-makes your skin red(inflamming acne)
-has ALOT of benzoyl peroxide
-EXPENSIVE

ok so i got proactiv because the commercial is pretty convincing, all the actors/actresses so i got it. I regret it so much! when i first used it, it worked ok not fanstastic just ok, then i got tired of doing a three step system so i switched to neutrogena. then that broke me out so i switched back to proactiv and it gave me the worst skin of my life! i have such bad break outs now it sucks and its scarring my face:( seriously please take my advice and if your thinking of getting this... DONT. and both my sisters used it and it didnt work for them either. just dont waste your money and time. id rate this a 0 if that was possible.
