Pros:

kept acne at bay for the most part

Cons:

expensive
less effective over time
similar products at the drug store (much cheaper)

I used Proactiv for a few years just because I thought it was the top-of-the-line acne treatment. It kept my acne at bay for the most part. I would still get occasional cysts. Overall, I feel it is too harsh on my skin, and there are better options.

Pros:

I have used it twice a day for about a month and it did get rid of some of my acne but not all of it and my skin still breaks out at times.

Cons:

It dried out my skin and irritated it.

I used it for a month and some of my acne went away. However, it made me skin dry and irritated it. After I used it, my face got all red. A few hours later it got better. It also left behind acne scars and it did nothing to get rid of them. I also have little bumps on my skin, mostly on my chin and cheeks, which are from my acne, and Proactiv did nothing for that and I thought it would make me skin smooth. I also felt like it did nothing for my pores. I have large pores mostly on my upper cheeks and nose, and I feel like it didn't get deep into my pores to clean them out, like it should have. It also makes my skin red after using it. I'm going to stop using it in a few days once i run out, and I wouldn't be surprised if my acne came back. Proactiv sucks! Not worth the money.

Pros:

-Comes in travel size
-Smells nice
-Packaging is clean and efficient

Cons:

-Cannot buy in stores (online or over the phone)
-Expensive

I really wish this product worked for me but unfortunately it only made my acne worse. I was a big believer in Proactiv until I started breaking out in strange places on my face. It caused a few deep cystic pimples and was too harsh for my skin. Perhaps it was the benzoyl peroxide which irritated my face, but it was too abrassive and I could not continue the regimen. Everyone's skin is different and unfortunately it didn't work with mine, but I think that Proactiv has a few really good products such as the night mask and I will continue to use that for any stubborn acne.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Dries out skin
Causes break outs
Expensive

I should have done my research before purchasing this treatment. I was so caught up in the hype of it, I thought it would work for me. The product caused my boyfriend and I to break out worse, and when we thought it might be working, we realized it was just drying out our skin. The product says to use less if this happens, but even that didn't work! The insult to injury came when I called to cancel, only to find out the $19.95 + $9.95 s/h lock in rate was a LIE and each system is REALLY $72.00!!!!!! I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND PROACTIV! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!

Pros:

Worked at first

Cons:

Smelled bad, Dried out my face, stopped working after a few months

I have moderate acne and I used proactiv for about 6 months a couple of years ago when it first became popular. It worked for a few months but then it stopped working. I think my acne got much worse after I used proactiv then before I started, but I guess that could be because I was still a teenager. Almost everyone I talk to who used proactiv before says the same thing happened to them.

Pros:

Easy Routine To Follow
Non-Chemical Smell
Offers Some Exfoliation
Great/Gentle Toner

Cons:

Not effective for severe acne
Does not help fade post-acne marks
"Cult-like" Marketing
Expensive

Basically-this product is no better than what you can now find in Wal-greens/Wal-Mart (pretty much any department store these days) for mild acne. It's gentle, and would probably work for a person with sensitive skin who has very mild acne/blemishes.

Pros:

-Cleared Skin IMMEDIATELY

-Gave Skin a nice glow

Cons:

-Stopped working after about 6-8 weeks

-Pimples took a lot longer to go away when using this product

-Made skin more oily (even though I have naturally oily skin as it is!

I ordered this on Ebay to avoid the sign-up/refill hassle. I figured if it worked for me, i'd be glad to sign up for it. As soon as I started using it, it was like a miracle, my skin looked amazing and I felt great about myself! After about 3-4 weeks of using it religiously, I started noticing a pimple here and a pimple there, and by the 7th week or so, my skin was back to the way it was unfortunately. After looking at my face on the 8th week and having about 5 or 6 big pimples on my face, I figured it stopped working. So in conclusion, this product doesn't completely clear your skin, but it will help control your breakouts to a fault,

The company is not good, since they keep sending product and charge your credit card

DO NOT BUY IN SUMMER, SINCE THEY USE REGULAR SHIPPING AND THE PRODUCT GETS OVER-HEATED DURING MAILING AND DELIVERING!!!
