Pros:

works quickly
smells good
prevents break outs

Cons:

Burns eyes
Drying

This product is drying, but if you use the proactiv moisturizer, your skin will be fine. I hear there are problems with ordering online, so I suggest you ind a stand that sells it. I was concerned with using the kiosk because it could steal credit information.

Pros:

Cons:

Has yet to really touch my blackhead hotspots
Can't just get from a drug store

I bought the 30 day trial kit, which came with a free refining mask. The first night, I washed with it and used the refining mask as a spot-treatment as it suggested on some of my worse spots, including a zit I knew would normally grow crazy huge over night. When I woke up? My face was ALREADY less red, some of my smaller zits were gone, and the ones I knew would be huge were tiny. My family were commenting on my complexion after only two uses. Today is the third day, and all I have left are my blackhead hot spots (chin and around nose), and dark spots left over from the white heads. Quite bluntly, I'm amazed. I'm a 23 year old female, and I've had /terrible/ acne since early middle school. While I would find slight fixes in different washes, treatments, diets and exercises, nothing has ever worked /this/ well. I haven't had skin this clean and clear and smooth since I was still playing with barbies... And it's only the third day! Some people complain about price, but if it works, and you have the means to afford it - it is well worth it. Others complain about time - but I'd rather spend a little longer in the bathroom knowing that I'll be able to walk out with clear skin. While everyone's skin is different, I can assure you that Proactiv is NOT all hype. I had been thinking about trying the stuff for years, but thought it would be just like every other treatment. But now that I've tried it... I highly recommend at least giving it a try!

Pros:

it worked

Cons:

it stopped working after a certain amount of time
the toner makes your skin really itchy
the moisturizer isn't that moisturizing
i paid over 100 dollars each time i went to guy a new set

i started using proactive when i was 12 years old because i had horrible acne on my fore head. i could notice a difference right away but it never completely cleared my acne. i used it for 4 years and then when i went into grade ten at 15 years old it stopped working and i thought it was just a break out and that it was going to clear up in no time like it usually did but it had actually quit working all together with.. my skin became horrible and i was just kept sticking with the proactive because it had always worked for me. so bottom line is, it will control your acne but it after a certain amount of time your body could become immune to it and it may quit working. i am now using daniel kerns the regimen and i love it.

Pros:

It really works!! It clears skin

Cons:

Makes dry and a little burning skin, ao you have to use a hydratin cream

I have been usin proactiv extra strength formula for about 3 months and all i can say is that it does work.. Now i just have like 2 3 live pimples that will go easily. So if you are using it use it constantly, dont give up, i had to wait about 2 months for watching a great improvement i think people who says it does not work is because they dont use it like it says and because they dont wait the enough time. (according to the AAD you have to wait about 4 months for being cleared with topicals treatments) so dont stop using it

Pros:

At first when i used proactiv, it made my skin all dry and peely. But after a couple of weeks all my pimples were gone ! It works! Ive tried everything and this is the only product that works :D

Cons:

The first few weeks proactiv made my all my pimples come out and they were all pussy it was also quite expensive

I would recommend this to those suffering from very severe acne. It works for me so it could work for you ! Not to be corny or anything! But it really did change my life.

Pros:

cleared my acne for about a year. completely cleared all my blackheads

Cons:

the lotion is not a hydrating lotion and will dry out your skin if you use too much... it makes your skin very sensitive to the sun

i used it for almost 2 years but then i stopped using it for about a month and once i started using it again it made my skin worse by making my skin peel, and caused more acne. i noticed that all the results were different on my friends that used it so i guess it depends on what kind of skin you have

Pros:

Clears up acne for a while
Not fragranced
Works okay with sensitive skin

Cons:

Not really for severe acne, skin got used to it
Left with scars
Expensive for the quality

I've used the three step system for about two and a half years. It didn't make my somewhat sensitive skin red, dry, itchy, or peeling, so that is good. At first, it cleared up my bad acne, but I was left with bad scarring on my forehead and chin. Eventually the system stopped working and I continue to break out. My skin got used to it and it was doing nothing for me. It wasn't controlling the oil on my face either. I was satisfied with it at first, but I finally went to the doctor and got a prescription. So far, I've seen a difference using prescription benzamycin.

Pros:

I've been using Proactiv for one year now but my skin still is quite oily instead when most reviews said it makes their skin dry.However my worst-two-years-acne has been cured by this and I am totally happy with it!!

Cons:

Skin is still oily a bit

Not all people with acne will experience best result from this products coz different people got different skin condition.Some may get better results and some may get even worse! So I suggest why not the first timer users buy trial pack first rather than just invest the whole full package and see whether it will work for u or vice versa..

Pros:

Made my skin feel smooth and clean

Cons:

Expensive, some of the bottles run out before the others

I used it a few years ago and it cleared up my skin, then I stopped and my skin got bad again so I started using it again. You just have to be consistent with it. I've used everything from over the counter to doctor prescribed washes and this seems to work the best!
