Pros:

it worked for me and made skin feel soft after the first use, much very pricey

Cons:

lotion is not a moisturizer so it can dry out skin a bit, can discolor towels etc, not for those who cant be consistant, may get worse

The first time i used it, it didin't work but a few months later i tried again and it worked great. I could really see and feel the difference ans even after a couple of days people kept saying how much better my skin was. I don't get bad acne but bad breakouts every few weeks, but since using proactiv theyve reduced heaps. Also it seems pricey but ive seen worse. Just remeber though not everything works for everyone, some can get cheap stuff that works great for them but for others its not so good, just take some to try stuff and work out whats best for you!

Pros:

I got the good deal on it, I locked in a price of $24.95 per month. Smells great and made my skin feel smoother after a few days. Easy to use, and only takes me a few minutes in the morning and at night.

Cons:

Dried out my face after about a week or so. Then I noticed the stinging and burning after a few weeks of use. It was painfull, and felt like my face was on fire, but thankfully went away after about 10 min.

I have heard a lot about Proactiv from my friends, so I kinda knew first hand what to expect. They all told me that at first it works really well, and then after about a month their face became worse. They said it took about 2-3 months for it to really kick in, they it did wonders for them. They also told me to expect some burning and inflamation at the beginning, and it would eventually go away after a week or so. I have also heard that it is detrimental to use at least am SPF 15 moisturizer on your face after completing the three step system. If you don't the UV and UVB rays of the sun will only irritate your face and make the acne worse! So, I have tweaked the system a bit and made my own regimin: Am: Wash with cleanser, and put on an oil-free, non-condemegenic(sp?)SPF 15 lotion, I then use the toner and repairing lotion ONLY at night. so it doesn't overdry. My skin seems like it's improving slowly.

Pros:

Works just as described.

Cons:

A little hard to keep at the regimine, if you're busy and/or forgetful.

I've been using this for about three months now and it works loads better than everything I've tried. The only time I've broken out is because I got a bit lazy and did it only once a day instead of twice, and it cleared in a mere three days. Over the counter products always really dried me out, but oddly I'm not getting it with proactive.

Pros:

Didn't amke my acne worse.

Cons:

Didn't completely clear up my skin after 3 months of use. For the price I paid I wanted completely clear skin.

Save your money up for a dermatologist instead.

Pros:

Cleansing system works somewhat but is hugely improved when the makeup and facial mask is added into the mix.

Cons:

It's time consuming to have to do the whole three step wash day and night. And it's expensive...but worth it!

I disagree because I had pretty bad acne and I started using proactiv's three step system day and night religiously and my pimples slightly went away. However, once I added the face makeup into the mix which also fights pimples everything disappeared. What I'm saying is that oil based makeup plays a big role in worsening acne and once I started using the makeup mu face was never dry and i now probably have like one tiny pimple on my face whereas before I'd have 50. I like it a lot.

Pros:

the toner is great. the cleanser feels nice to use

Cons:

burning, drying, peeling

The only items that worked well on my face in this line is the tones that has glycolic acid in it and the sulfur mask( a cheaper alternative is the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask). I could not use this product long enough to know if it was really effective. It made my skin red. It also made it peel and very sensitive to anything I put on my face. I would not use any of these products again, except MAYBE the toner and thats a big maybe.

Pros:

It smells good, and the refining mask works amazingly.

Cons:

It stings when I put the toner on, it also dries my skin out.

It's probally the best product out on the market so I would say use it.

Pros:

Works great! the only thing i have found to help me and i have tried almost every drugstore brand.

Cons:

Availablity and price. to buy out of shopping mall is very expensive, to buy online cannot just run out and buy when you are out, need to plan ahead more.

Terrific product! I am now into my thirties and i have never found a product to work this well for me without going to a doctor.

Pros:

i love it! there's just a little fragrance so it's not irritating. lasts a lot longer than two months. the malls sell them so you can buy it whenever you want

Cons:

bleaches towels. i use the body wash before i sleep, it has a non-bleaching treatment. don't get just what you see on tv. the treatment is not the moisturizer

i've been using it for 4 years now and haven't used anything ever since. - if you're sensitive, play around with the amounts, everyone will respond to it differently. - don't use more then what's recommended, it'll dry your skin. - be consistent... it's just common sense. if you were on a diet and only followed the regiment half-heartedly you won't lose weight.. same thing here. - use the mask! it's your best friend, a smelly one, but a friend indeed. - use a sunscreen... it will subdue the "damaging" effects of benzoyl peroxide, not to mention wrinkles.

Pros:

Been using it about 5 years. I'm more than happy. It controls oil. It keeps blemishes controlled. It doesn't dry me out or irritate. When I say I use Proactiv, people look closer and say I have great skin. I say, "exactly".

Cons:

Cost. Time to receive orders if you don't have a local kiosk.

I believe one product isn't going to work well for every single person. If you haven't tried it, do so. If you do and it doesn't work for you, something else will. It does take about 30 days to see your first good, consistent results. My dermatologist moved me to MD Forte for a time and I got so much worse, my face hurt, so I switched back. Not only did Proactiv clear up blemishes and lighten the oil, it all around smoothed out my skin, alleviating some rough patches. I've tried some other of the products and the Daily Oil Control doesn't work for me, but the Matte Finish does. My esthetician says the clay mask works well for me. Like anything else, it's a personal preference and choice, but I'm sticking with it.
