Pros:

Ok, I'm seeing a slight improvement in my skin's texture.

Cons:

It's not the miracle cure they make it out to be. I'm still getting pimples, and it overdries my skin. And I'm afraid that if i stop using it, my pimples will be worse than before (I have moderate acne)

I have been using it only for 6 weeks though, so maybe I should give it more time. But I'm at my wit's end here, I don't know if my skin is getting better or worse, whether I should keep using it or stop. I have heard a lot about the beneficial effects of chamomile tea on the skin. Can someone give me some pointers on how to use chamomile tea and how I can incorporate it into my daily skin care routine?

Not worth the money
Moderate acne. Fell for this as a teenager. Used it for over a year. It helped some with the acne but not much more than OTC treatments. Left my skin with bad texture and looking desperate. I've since had better luck with home remedies. I think part of the problem is we always attack our face instead of nourishing and supporting it. Proactive did nothing to nourish my skin leaving is looking half-dead.

Don't waste your time and money, there are better products

Pros:

Lessened acne

Cons:

Feels harsh
Bleaches clothing and bedding
Did not completely clear acne

Up until age 18, I had clear skin. Once I moved from Hawaii to Arizona, my skin went downhill and I started using proactive. I hated the product, it feels very harsh and the third and last step bleaches anything it touches. It's just not a product you feel good about using. Unfortunately, it was the best product of the few I've tried. It did not clear my face completely, but it did keep my bad breakouts under control. I used it for 2 years then stopped when I moved back home to Hawaii. My breakouts are coming back and I am waiting on my acne.org order... A cousin of mine was using proactive regularly and when she stopped, she had a lot more acne than before using proactive. It's quite bad. I have the idea that proactive's formula causes your skin to become dependent on it so that the company makes more money. One last thing I want to mention, I truly believe that saltwater improves acne! I grew up in Maui, went to the beach often, and never had acne issues. Now, I live on Oahu and the beach is a rare treat for me (work, traffic, distance, and lack of parking limit my beach-going here.) Whenever I'm able to go to the beach for 2 or 3 days in a row, my face clears up dramatically!

Cons:

burned my skin
very pricey

One of my old best friends has very severe acne and was using this system by Proactiv so i decided i would give it a go. i stated using it but found no difference in my skin. it didnt clear my acne, and it didnt make it worse. it kind of burned by skin. the only reason i give it 2 stars is because it did make my friend's acne a little bit better.

Pros:

My acne is significantly reduced.

Cons:

POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The product is great, and compared to similar products the price is the best, but I just cancelled my membership because the billing process is tragic, and while trying to work out their latest snafu over the phone, the customer service reps were horrible.

Don't do it. Search for a similar product.

Pros:

If used as directed, this is an effective acne treatment, and does clear up your acne, and the portions of my skin that are completely cleared up feel incredibly smooth.

Cons:

This product has caused excessive over drying of my skin, which the proactiv moisturizer does nothing to alleviate. I ended up using organic lotion to supplement, which has helped greatly.

Effective product, but I will be searching for something else, or at least will seek out a kiosk that I can purchase this from. I have had nothing but issues since I signed up for their online account; sending to the wrong address, my kit defaulting to the most expensive products, which I would have never known if I had not checked and changed manually, misleading billing information and complete lack of explanation on how the billing process works. I also paid an extra $9.99 for overnight shipping only to find out that it wasn't overnight shipping at all, and my order was still going to take a week to arrive. They did at least credit me back this amount, and will credit me back the amount I was automatically charged for the kit that I received that I was never supposed to receive once I return it to them (they are paying for the return shipping). I utilized their "ship now" service a week before my next shipment was due to be processed because I was extremely low; I received an email immediately after stating that my order would arrive in two to three weeks. ? How that makes any sense whatsoever is beyond me; I would think that if they had a "ship now" button, it would be so that you received your shipment faster. As a result, I completely ran out and did not have any treatment for two weeks. The second you stop using this system, your acne flares up, so I was not very happy with this. My recommendation: save yourself the hassle of dealing with this unethical company. They misrepresent how their program works, and you would be better off finding a different acne treatment system, or at least finding a kiosk or store that they sell it in so you can purchase what you need at your own leisure. It's unfortunate, because overall I do believe their product is very effective and I am happy with the results, but I do not trust this company.

Pros:

Felt very cleansing, skin didn't feel too tight after using, refreshing feeling immediately after.

Cons:

Irritated skin and made it red and itchy.
Didn't really do much for the acne (Didn't get better or worse).
Expensive

After giving this a proper trial run and using all the accompanying (recommended) products, I felt that I was spending a lot of money on a product that did not work and left my skin very sensitive and sore. Would not try again.

Pros:

cleared up acne a little
left skin feeling soft
Felt like I was really cleansing my skin

Cons:

Burned my skin
I eventually became immune to it

Proactiv is a great idea, but for me it didn't work. All of the products were too harsh for my skin and it's type (which is combination). The last step in the system (which is the acne cream) ended up drying out my skin to the point where my skin needed to produce excess oils. I think that instead of using proactiv, It's better to use more natural, less abrasive products. (They tend to be cheaper as well). Look for a natural moisturizer, cleanser, and toner. A good example is lush handmade cosmetics.
