Pros:

-Got rid of my major breakouts

Cons:

-Full of harsh chemicals that bleached my eyebrows and hairline
-Skin becomes immune and you start to break out again
-Left me with acne scars

I never had SEVERE acne before using proativ so I thought it would definately work on my major breakout areas. Yeah, it got rid of the big breakouts; but my skin got used to the product and started to break out again anyway. I think the cleanser was WAY too rough for my skin because it was only AFTER I had used proactiv that I realised it has left tonnes of red acne scars under my skin. Not to mention that I'd have to get my eyebrows tinted every 2 weeks or so because the harsh chemicals would bleach them blonde! Overall it really didn't do much to my skin except leave me with more problems.

Pros:

the refining mask helped to get rid of really bad pimples..

Cons:

...nothing else worked. it made my skin dry, raw, flaky, and so much worse than before i started.

proactiv is useless unless you have really oily skin. if you have normal or dry skin it just completely wrecks it. IF you are one of the few people it seems to work on, your skin begins to develop a dependance on it, and when you stop using it you get 100x worse than before you started. WASTE OF MONEY, YOU ARE JUST PAYING FOR BIG ADVERTISEMENTS WITH STUPID CELEBRITIES!

Pros:

At first it was taking the acne away and I was pleased.

Cons:

I have been using this stuff for two years now and my face is a disaster. I am getting little bumps all over, I have white discolorations all over my face. If I stop using it my acne gets worse than before.

I only wished I could go back to the mild acne I had and have my old face back. Yes, this stuff does, for the most part, keep normal acne away, but it destroys your face in the process. Now I don't know what I am going to do to fix it. The Dermatologist mentioned Fraxel to take away some of the bumps and discoloration. This is a nightmare! Don't get hooked on this product. It may help to start but down the road you will regret it, trust me.

Pros:

NONE.

Cons:

NONE.

IT DIDN'T WORK. I TRIED IT ONCE WHEN I WAS 13, IT DIDN'T WORK. SO I WAITED SOME YEARS, AND RECENTLY TRIED IT AGAIN NOW THAT I'M 22 AND NOPE IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. IT SAYS THAT PROACTIV WORKS ON SOME 85% OF PEOPLE...I GUESS I'M SOMEWHERE IN THAT OTHER 15%.

Pros:

It did make my skin feel softer.

Cons:

My eyebrows actually started flaking. I think my skin is worse now in places that were not a problem before. I am getting ready to quit using it. I also have large flaky patches that look horrible with makeup. Ugh!

I think it may be more suitable for younger oilier skin (I am 29) ?? I am really disappointed, and now have to try to get my skin back to the level it was before.

Pros:

gentle smell

Cons:

like Dan says. The cleanser is too irritating because it has scrubbing beads in it - irritation can make acne worse

I used to have breakouts (pustules) on my forehead all the time. I bought this and used it consistently for 3 months. Maybe it helped with acne clearing faster, but in no way did it get rid of acne FORMING, I had the same number of pimples from beginning to end. If you are in the same situation as me, trust me when I say its not worth it. Maybe it works better for adult acne.

Pros:

Seems to work sometimes.

Cons:

Tends to make things work sometimes; very inconsistent.

I was allowed an essentially infinite supply of this stuff by my parents and I used it as directed for probably a month and a half when I noticed that pimples would just keep coming back... even though used twice a day as directed, it worked about as effectively as putting milk and flour on your face (that is, not at all). From what I've seen, almost all acne products don't work for me, except for the masques. I don't know what it is, but I'd guess the lack of oxygen on the growth minimizes their size and prevents future outbreaks. Just a speculation, but when I find time I'm going to try swimming also; from what I've seen, swimmers generally don't have acne. However, when I went on an outdoorsy vacation, the fresh air seemed to help for a while. My face didn't get much sun, but somehow the acne disappeared for a while.

Pros:

It was convincing because of all of the commercials.

Cons:

It doesn't work. Runs out quickly.

Don't buy, doesn't work. I bought this product think it would actually work but it didn't. I used it for almost a month and a half and most of it was already gone, and it gave me no results. It's a waste of money, makes your skin feel bad, keeps your face dry and peeling. It wastes really quick. Plus I canceled my account with them and they kept sending more packages and charging me for them after I told them it didn't work.

Pros:

it makes your skin slightly softer

Cons:

doesn't work for acne

I tried this since everyone else did. Some of my friends had pretty good results with it. They barely had breakouts though. I get breakouts quite often, and this is just another product out there that is a waste of time and money. I wish there was something that just worked.
