Proactiv Solution : Acne Treatment System

Ive been using proActiv for about 4 weeks now and i have seen Drastic results.It does work but you have to use i correctly..Most people dont follow the directions which clearly state...Begin using system twice a day and the repairing lotion once at night for the first week so that your skin becomes accustomed to it...if you just slather it on its extremely irritating and drying..follow the directions it helps..IMPORTANT..stick to the therapy you will get a breakout 2weeks into using the product its just proactiv cleansing your pores dont give up on it it Really does work just follow instructions and dont overdo take it slow and you will see results i promise you..ppl complain about it because the use to much and are impatient your skin needs to be cared for Proactiv works!!

I am 14 and have been getting pretty bad clusters of weird, not-whitehead, not-blackhead acne on my cheeks. And a lot of whiteheads on my chin and upper lip. My forehead gets really bad around my period. I never had any acne until the beginning of this year. I started using Proactiv almost two weeks ago and have already been seeing MAJOR improvements on my forehead and cheeks. Not so much my chin, probably because that's where my stubborn hormonal pimples are. But I am very pleased with the results I have been getting. I wake up to less and less redness everyday. I don't even wear powder on my face anymore. All of the bumps are gone and whenever I wash my face, it feels extremely smooth. I was worried about trying it because of the reviews, but I guess it's just based on your skin. I have very oily skin, especially on and near my nose. Because of this, I normally don't have to deal with dry skin side effects. I recommend that if you have similar skin to mine, try it. The results won't be overnight, obviously. But, with the results I've been getting, I see clear skin in my future. (:

Proactiv really works. Its not just by luck that they've been able to launch their product mainstream while others have failed. Either you're using the product incorrectly or you haven't given it enough time. The product works, but only under the conditions that you, the user, create as a suitable regiment corresponding to your skin sensitivity and type. In my personal experience, I've used the product on three occasions. First two times I tried the product it wasn't very pretty because I didn't follow the above directions such as consistency, sticking to the product, and good regimen which obviously made me breakout horribly. Before my 3rd use of the product, I didn't get anywhere near the product while it sat behind the darkness of my bathroom. By that time I was so desperate for my skin that I hopelessly used it. Its been roughly two weeks and I haven't had any breakout besides a pimple or two. Even the scars created from past acne has begun to fade. Remember, this product's main purpose is to exfoliate the skin. Common sense says exfoliating twice a day, every day won't make your acne and skin better, but worse and drier than ever. Now I basically only have my faded acne scars left on my skin with an exception of an active pimple or two and all I'm really waiting for is the scars to pass. I live in Chicago and have had the opportunity to visit several dermatologists here. The medication that they gave me made my skin look and feel worse. I would say my acne is moderate. My breakouts were few, but when I did breakout it was horrible and it seemed like it took weeks for skin to clear up. I am in my late 30's and have struggled w/ acne since I was about 24. Nothing helped me but Proactive. I saw the commercials for years and never thought to give it a try until I saw it on QVC. They supersized everything, plus they included the green tea moisturizer and the on the spot benzoyl treatment. I can't believe that I could have had clear skin years ago. Please if you are considering Proactive, give it a try!!! Your skin can't get any worse....

I used proactiv and the first 3 days it was okay, then I got the side effects that I listed above, my skin was worse then. I'm so glad I stuck to it though because now my skin doesn't have a single blemish or pimple! My skin is so super soft and it really helped my confidence. I just love proactiv, although its a little expensive i say its worth every cent.

i love it! ive used it for about 2 months. As long as you use it on a regular twice a day schedule you will be pleased with the results!

I wanted to get on here and tell people about my experience with Proactiv because I've read so many negative reviews. I was actually afraid to try it because all over the web people are blasting it! But if you really think about it, you are only hearing one side of the argument; people who a treatment has worked for aren't on these acne websites anymore, so you're mainly hearing from the people who a treatment didn't work for. Proactiv has worked wonderfully for me, but everyone is different, so there's no telling if it will work for you. Still, it can't hurt anything to try.. I was going through a "clear" skin couple of days when I first started Proactiv. For the first 2-3 days, my skin stayed clear and felt SO amazingly smooth! Then BAM, I ended up with cystic acne all over my face.. I had about 7 at once. However, something I noticed was that these cysts didn't stay under the skin for days/weeks; they were all coming to a head within 48 hours and were gone within 3-4 days of when they showed up. I continued to break out, although less and less, for the first 2 1/2 weeks. By the middle of week 3, I only had one small white head on my entire face. In addition, my skin felt and looked healthier than ever! I also wanted to share my experience because when I started getting cystic acne on Proactiv, I couldn't find anyone else who had a similar experience. Most people said it made their skin worse and was no good or that it immediately made their skin better. So if you are getting weird "short-term" cysts during the first couple of weeks, there is hope! Just keep using it exactly as it says to. One more thing- the products can be irritating. It is SO important to moisturize after the 3rd step. Their green tea moisturizer is great but expensive, so I use Neutrogena oil free moisture for sensitive skin. Also, if you rub the cleanser into your face too hard it can make things worse; don't force the medication in, just lightl

I used the original proactive system for about 2 months, and my skin errupted! I called in to their customer service, and the rep said it was probably purging my skin, but not strong enough to clear everything that came up. So she offered to send me the extra strength kit to try. Amazingly, it worked! My skin was super dry, so I had to adjust my usage of the lotion. After I had clear skin for some time, I switched to some fancier, more expensive products reccomended by my aesthetician. I broke out again and again, so now I have reordered the proactive! The customer service rep I spoke to was fantastic, she helped me figure out the best way for me to order the products I need to not waste my money with too frequent shipments. I have high standards and did not expect proactive to work, I ordered it because it was cheap and I was desperate. I am happy to have a line that works and I get five products for the price of ONE of my other ineffective products.
