Pros:

treatment system that everyone knows about, easily accessable.

Cons:

PRICE, my GOD this stuff is way too expensive for what it is!!! There are the SAME products out there at 1/2 the cost that are better!
This product stops working within days of stopping usage.
It's just BP people!

AWFUL product. be wary of anyone singing praises about this stuff, they are probably paid to say it. Remember, anything with as much advertising as Proactiv means those $$$ are going into commercials (and to pay idiot celebrities) instead of good ingredients in the bottle!

Pros:

It works for the most part - however, it seems when I reach my monthly; it doesn't work as well - may be something with my hormones though! I love the clean feeling and time-released medication...

Cons:

I am still breaking out around my monthly and have issues with this...after spending $46/mo on this - I would hope it works no matter what my hormones are doing! The cost is too much - however, I've never had such clear skin; so it's worth it!

I wish I could afford it all the time!

Pros:

Worked Excellent for Approx. 2 months.

Cons:

Eventually caused worse problems than my original.

After 2 mos. of success, my skin started compesating for the drying effects of the benzoyl peroxide and starting making to much oil from beneath. I now have this frustrating rare combination of clogged pores but dry skin on my cheeks and forehead which is where I had good complexion until now. I never had cysts(I think that is what they are considered) or actual whiteheads until now and my skin is worse than when I started a couple months back. I am blaming this product officially now as I see quite a few others with the same effects.

Pros:

It works for a while but then it seems not to be working.

Cons:

I dont know if evryone should use the product.

All the people on the commercial of proactive are all so confident. But then when it's your turn to try it, you don't know if you bleive what they're saying or not. At first when i bought the product i thought it would really work. I'm kind of disapointed with the results since its been atleast 3 months in a row ive been using it constantly and my face seems to be clearing up but im actually not even sure if it really is. I'm going to continue using it for a couple more months and hope my face clears up. But, if it doesn't I'm going to go see a dermatoligist. Now to all of you out there, if proactive doenst seem to work after a cpiple of months, don't hesitate go and see a dermotoligist!

Pros:

Like some people have said it does work really well! My face has practically cleared! But...

Cons:

It is not working anymore for me.

I would not buy this product again. It seems as if it work but after using the product for a while you may break-out more frequently---Those big pimples that are hard and painful!

Pros:

it smells good

Cons:

benzoyl peroxide

One day after I used it, my skin got flaky, irritated, red, poofy, itchy, super-dry, and I felt like I was sunburned for 10hours!! ugh...and i thought it would work for my acne. I only used it for two weeks and I stopped. I'm returning it.

Pros:

smooth skin, less acne

doesn't work over night - have to use consistently

I've had acen since I was about 12 (I'm 22), so I've tried just about everything there is out there for acne. I was very disappointed when I first started using Proactiv, because I broke out even worse than before... BUT my friend told me to keep with it, and sure enough after about 2 weeks, my skin was clear! So if you've tried this product and got frustrated because your face stayed the same or got worse - try it again, and give it a couple weeks. Proactive cleanses deep within, so it causes all the "yucky" stuff to come to the surface, therefore, it gets worse before it's better, but it's worth it!

Pros:

Got rid of the blackheads within the first few days.

Cons:

Pretty much didn't do anything else. It overdried, which wouldn't have bothered me if it had actually worked. My acne wasn't that severe to begin with, so I thought it'd work well, but I guess not--if anything, it's worsened slightly.

I'd say try it, and if you're one of those special people for whom it miraculously works, then more power to you. But if it's not working like it's supposed to within the first few days, then I'd try something else.

Pros:

Smooth skin & no acne.

Cons:

Too expencive; Doesn't help blackheads; having to wake up early to make sure i have enough time to use it

WORKS WONDERS. I've been using this product for almost a year now, and my skin has never been better. I admit, I still get the really bad zit around my mouth now and then during 'that time of the month', but I use Panoxyl 5% on them to get rid of them. I really do not know how I would be right now without this product. It has helped me SO much. I can go on now without pounds of foundation on my face, and when I don't mind now when I get my picture taken. I have to use it twice a day in order to have clear skin, my brother only has to use it once. So it's different for everyone. Downfall -- product doesn't help BLACKHEADS. And do NOT buy their skin ligtening cream either -- it caused the blackheads I have now. ;x ew ew ew.
