Pros:

-First time you buy they give it for almost half off

Cons:

-Pricey
-Bottles are small
-Did not clear my acne much at all

It's not as great as they make it look on TV. I thought it would be the answer to my prayers and was so disappointed when it didn't work. My acne is about medium range, my face isn't covered but I tend to always 5-6 pimples on my face. I used for about 2 weeks and noticed no difference at all, if anything it made my skin more red and irritated. It's also quite pricey for me personally, I'm a college student on a budget, and $40 for 3 small bottles was not cutting it. I heard others that have had success with it, didn't fully achieve clear skin until a month or more, I need faster results.I defiantly don't recommend ProActive.

Pros:

none.

Cons:

this product made my acne worse. Left my skin feeling too oily after I used it and caused more breakouts.

Dont use this product if you have severe acne. It will only make irritate your skin and make your breakouts worse. Use if you have very mild acne. If you notice in the comercials, no one has severe acne, everyone has very light acne.

Pros:

helped clear my acne
-not all of it though

Cons:

i used this product for 2 months
-it was bad at first -okay -good
then i lost the cleanser and my skin got sooo bad!! -REDD AND HUGE PIMPLES

I bought this as a trial! I had okay acne not to bad. I started using it and the first 2 weeks my skin was burning to this product *-and i dont have sensible skin nor im alergic to the benzil product or whatvr. After 2 months it was working then i lost the cleaner...2 days later my face was TERRIBLEE like discustingg terrible!! DONT BUY IT UNLESS YOUR GOING TO KEEP ON USING IT! My dad was shocking with my face, so we went and bought me Neutrogena Acne System Theraphy for $18! I have been using it for 3 days now and my skin is looking a hell lot better. Recoment the Neutrogena Acne System Theraphy =D

Pros:

It got rid the acne in about a month and a half.

Cons:

After every pimple disappears it leaves behind a super red mark (hyperpigmentation) which does NOT go away for about a year.... -__-. I'm not sure if its the product or just my skin. My skin itself has never left these marks prior to using proactiv.

Hyperpigmentation sucks bc you have to wear make up every day to cover it up. I grew very DEPENDENT on the product and am still on it. I switched to other products for a short span of time and my acne came back. Once you go proactiv i dont think you can get off it. i sure can't and i would want to. :(

Pros:

consistently prevented acne

Cons:

was rather drying (had to counteract this with moisturizers), time-consuming

I used Proactiv for 4 years. It consistently prevented acne breakouts. Before using it, I had moderate breakouts (whiteheads) on my cheeks, forehead, nose & chin. I'd tried most drugstore products & nothing worked (I've since figured out salicylic acid does nothing for me). While using it, I had no breakouts, just the occasional pimple. I tolerated the benzoyl peroxide well - no redness/allergic reaction. My skin isn't very sensitive though. I didn't like two things. It was very drying, so I always had to moisturize. Also, the amount of time this skincare regimen took: 20-30 mins. Each kit lasted me about 3-4 months (with 2x daily use), so it was affordable. I would recommend using a minimal amount of the repairing lotion. A thin application on acne-prone areas is effective. I stopped using it because I want to try natural/organic skincare (tea tree oil) & I want to see if I don't suffer from my teen acne anymore (I hope). If nothing natural/organic works, I might go back to Proactiv.

Pros:

Works for some people

Cons:

It didn't work for me

I just thing proactive works for some and not others. My sister used it with great success so I thought I would try it. I used it for about 1 month, I had a nasty break out so I decided to try it and the breakout cleared while using it, but to best honest I don't think it was the proactive, I think it just healed natrually as breakouts do. I continuted to use it, and I kept on getting new pimples. I am talking large blind pimples and white heads which I normally do get! but I thought proctive was supposed to prevent this!! I decided to stop using it, and my skin is getting better. I have stopped using it for almost a week now, and there is most deffinately an improvement!!! I am now trying Apple cider vinegar topically daily and baking soda to exfoliate once a week. So far so good!

Cons:

it didn't help, i broke out more. no good results.

i don't recommend proactiv solution to anyone. i read some reviews on the net and alot of them said that it doesn't work. i don't know why i didn't trust them. Then, for some reason i just bought proactiv. i used it for a month and it did not work. after four weeks using proactiv, i looked at my face more clearly in the mirror. i got so angry and i chucked the closest thing i can find at the mirror, then it smashed. now, i don't even have the confidence to walk out of my house. so much for "Proactiv is designed to help treat existing acne and prevent future breakouts"....so trust me, i'll tell anyone who would listen : DON'T USE PROACTIV.

Pros:

It works without nearly as much irritation as other products.

Cons:

Time consuming, bleaches stuff.

I've been off and on Proactiv for 8 yrs. This last time I went off because I got sick of the regimen (as it is time consuming) and tried to go all-natural. BIG MISTAKE! I''ve never looked that bad in my life. So I started Dan's regimen and did that for 6 weeks but my sensitive skin couldn't handle the dryness & flaking (this was even more time consuming BTW). Then I tried the Differin gel 1% for four weeks and it made my skin itch like crazy! I didn't know what was worse; the acne or the dry, dead skin. So finally I decided to go back to what has always worked for me. And although my skin may never be perfect, Proactiv has kept my acne under control without over-drying and itching. My skin is smooth once again and hydrated. I'm glad I took the time to see what else is out there because now I know that the grass ain't greener on the other side and I have found the best stuff to treat my acne.

Pros:

- works quickly
- get extra products when you order off television
- mask works great!

Cons:

- when discontinuing product you break out
- $$ and hard to find in stores.. i buy off tv
- dries out your skin the first week or so of usage

I noticed a difference very quickly, It got rid of my acne completely. Now even though I did not have horrible acne i still felt self conscious without makeup, after using proactive I didn't have that problem. Although when I stopped using it or skipped using it on the weekend or something I would break out..... Its like crack for your face.... but in my opinion it is worth it.
