Proaciv Solution ruined my skin completely
I had been on Proactiv when I was in my early 20's for a few years than gradually bumped up the Extra Strength (10% Benzoyl Peroxide) line after the 2.5% stopped working for me. I began breaking out with large cystic acne, getting more congested on my cheeks, jawline and although I was always broken out on my t-zone it was still never cleared. Even when Proactiv was working it didn't fully clear my skin up completely as promised. At one point my skin erupted so badly covered in zits and cysts I said enough. I cancelled my membership and discontinued Proactiv right away to get professional treatment by my dermatologist and so glad I did. I will NEVER use Proactiv again....

PROACTIV IS A SCAM!!
PROACTIV IS A SCAM!! As soon as you give them your credit card number you are fu*ked! They will charge your card and send you packages you did not order every month. They just keep charging your credit card when ever they like even if you read the fine print and call them to cancel your account. They have illegally charged my credit card 4 times after I canceled my account! The product is maybe not that bad, depending on your skin, but the way they treat customers if awful! I will be seeking legal advise on what to do about the illegal charges they made, and I will certainly not advise anyone to buy their product ever!!!

Pros:

-It does eventually clear up the skin

Cons:

-It's expensive
-It takes like 6 weeks for it to-It irritates and drys out your skin immenslly

As long as you're patient, Proactiv will work for you, but I do not recommend it to people with sensitive skin. It takes over a month to start to work (like 6 weeks or so), but after it is gone, it usually hadn't come back. It is really expensive, but I think the face mask works to help clear pimples. If you really want to see results, you really have to be dedicated to use day and night and take that time to use the 3 step system otherwise it may not work. If you want faster results I recommend using something else (Like the Doctor's Program facial cleanser or acne gel) because it clears it up faster.

Pros:

Absolutely none.

Cons:

First of all, this company charged me four times for a kit that I only got twice. They pretty much stole from me and gave me some b*llsh*t story when I asked them to return my money for the kits I didn't receive. This product also made me moderate acne WORSE. It is now moderately severe thanks to Proactiv. It never cleared my skin up, it gave me acne in places I never had it before. It made my skin flaky around problem spots and oily in spots that I didn't have acne.

Do not buy this product. This company does not give a care in the world about curing your acne, they only want your money.

Pros:

None really

Cons:

Made my skin worse. I tried it for a week and it just gave me more pimples.

Proactiv didn't work for me. I went to see a dermatologist and he said it didn't work because there was to much benoyl peroxide for my skin to handle. He put me on a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash which is a perscription the perscription ones have less then the over counter ones. You can also try sylliaclyc acid.

Pros:

Easy to order :) :(

Cons:

Cannot get customer srv. to respond to cancellation of order and never rcv' promised e-mail re:shipment. Only dreaded surprises on bank statements. Notice pending charges but cannot cancel. You have to return shipment,UNOPENED, PRO-ACTIVE ARE RIP-OFF CON-ARTISTS. TELL YOUR FRIENDS...BEWARE!!!!!

Would NEVER have tried Pro-active had I known the consequences. Sad thing is, I was warned by someone else, that is still going through the hassel themselves. Every month they rcv' unwanted shipment and have to return it via mail or get charged. Oh boy, I have something to look forward to...NOT!!!

Pros:

- can keep skin clear if applied properly, but it's all about the method

Cons:

- expensive
- a lot of the products are unnecessary

I've tried everything and done research, the proActiv people make you believe that they're selling a line that only works if all the products are used interconnectedly. Truth is, the only miracle is the benzoyl peroxide and HOW they tell you to apply it. BP and salicylic acid are the only products that give acne results in my experience and research. But BP only works as a preventitive measure, it wont' help existing acne much. Your BP doesn't need to be proActiv to help, infact a presciption grade BP would work better (clindoxyl gel). Add a gentle cleanser and toner ( neutrogena) and a moisturizer like cetaphil- and you'll have the same results without the hefty price and obligation of buying all that useless product every month.... my wallet is thanking me for figuring it all out.... so is my face.

Pros:

got rid of some blackheads on nose

Cons:

didn't help my acne
broke me out even more

Doesn't work. Don't buy this if your skin is sensitive! It worked on and got rid of some of the stubborn blackheads on my nose, but that's about it. It made me break out with cystic acne after several uses of this.

Pros:

It did eventually clear up some of my acne

Cons:

It didnt cure my hormonal or cystic acne.

I went through 2 one month supplies of proactiv. So, i obviously used this product for 2 months..i would recommend this product if you only suffer from little white head, but if you suffer from cystic acne or hormonal acne this may not work for you. I never felt as though it was really working for me though. It was like i wasnt even using it.

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

I ordered proactiv 2 years ago for 19.95 (their TV offer). At the time, the bottles were 4 oz, which was great and lasted me a decent amount of time. I decided to give it a go again (keep in mind 39.95 this time) and I got sent 2 oz bottles. To me, that is travel size. When I called customer service and explained this dilemma all they could say was that the price of proactiv has gone up. So why does the price go up but the size go down? BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM.

I got ripped off and will never order from this company again. EVER.
