Pros:

Got rid of my acne plain and simple. Friends started commenting on how flawless my skin looked. No one had ever said that before! My skin tone and texture was smooth and even.

Cons:

Product will bleach clothes so avoid applying it on your neck. My skin was irritated at first so I took it slow and my skin adapted.

Worth it hands down. I've tried plenty of other acne products, but this system works the best and will get rid of acne.

Pros:

none that i can think of.

Cons:

proactive gave me the most serious case of closed comedones i have ever seen in real life. my forehead, where i dont usually break out, was a thick, lumpy layer of whiteheads that couldnt be popped.

i usually don't write on these boards, but i felt i had to comment on proactive. i started using only the face wash it and saw some instant, promising results. my skin initially looked polished and clean, and i thought i might have won my lifelong acne struggle. when my forehead started erupting in whiteheads, i washed more to try and get rid of them. bad idea. i cant even find a comparable picture online of how bad my forehead was. i also became 10x more oily on my face than i usually am. it was terrible and i became depressed. i decided to stop proactive to see if it was the problem, and viola! 3 days in and my forehead is almost clear. please, beware and good luck.

Pros:

It cleared up my skin after my first day and I really like the product!

Cons:

Really expensive and i found that it smells bad and you can't use it on your nostrils so I had a really bad pimple there and I put it on there anyway and it smelt bad and everything!

I would use the product buy it once and if you like it and it works for you then stick with it but if not then try other stuff... if you have very light acne I would use mary kay it works will will very light acne and its not expensive, but it makes it worst then clears it ALL up so you don't get break outs!

Pros:

worked. for a little while, at least

Cons:

Well, smells horrible, burns, makes acne worse.

A few weeks ago, there was an article in the newspaper about acne treatments, and Proactive was mentioned. It listed the ingredients, all of which were bad for you. The article came out just about a month or a month and a half after I had bought Proactive. The paper even stated that Proactive was bad for your skin, and health. I think that part of getting clear and clean skin is just getting rid of the chemicals that are on it, and it seems Proactive only adds those.

Pros:

None :(

Cons:

Burned My Face, Made my skin become very dry and flakey, was embarassing to go out in public.

Don't try this product!!!!! Other cheaper products from the local chemist work better than this crap! Its not worth the money, smells horrible, and it doesn't even help your acne..if anything it makes it even worse, it makes your acne very red and sore! It only contains 2.5% benzoyle peroxide (the main ingredient) i am now using a $10 face cleanser which contains 5% benzoyle peroxide, and it works!!!! much better then proactiv soloution.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Literally burned skin off my face. I had to start 7th grade with huge scabs on my nose and face. Ive had acne since 6th grade and the people who sold it to me never told me that it shouldnt be used by people my age.

Dont use it if your young or have sensitive skin.

Pros:

- Cleared Pimples early
- Face feels good once it is used to it
- After a very long breakout after about 3 months my skin is almost blemish free

Cons:

- Dried out skin while I was getting used to it
- Expensive for a youth (me)
- Has a slight odour

For me, it works just as advertised, but as I see not for others. After a year I don't need to use it regularly because the proactiv helped control the oil on my face. I think ProActiv is a great product.

Pros:

In the first couple of weeks, it clears skin up great!

Cons:

leaves skin feeling itchy, dry and tight. Takes too long to go through the process, and the product is not worth the price.

When I first started, I had very mild acne, but a few bumps here and there underneath my skin. I tried the product and swore by it for the first few months (2-3 months). Currently I started noticing that I am getting big blotches all over my face that never used to pop up when I used cheap brands. It's still nothing that makeup can't hide, but it is safe to say that it works in the beginning, but then stops working. Please take into consideration the stress levels that are in your life when the product stops working...(for those that have similar stories to mine). I am going to keep using it until my stress level is down a bit, and if it continues to not work, I will switch. Hope this helps anyone!

Pros:

It cleared all of my acne and blemishes and kept it away!

Cons:

The company continued to charge my credit card without sending me the product for two months.

I would definately reccomend trying this product, but be sure to stay on top of your bills and what they charge you!
