Pros:

None.

Cons:

Gave me worse acne and the kind that hurts!! I never broke out on my chin or the bottom of my cheeks, but now I have worse acne then I started with!!

I used this product when I was in high school and it worked wonders, but it was really expensive and i was only 15 so I couldn't afford it. I decided to use it again last month because I randomly had a really bad break out in October. Unfortunately, this product made my skin so much worse and gave me terrible cystic acne instead. Right now I'm trying gentle products to heal my skin again and not irritate it like Proactiv. Basically...don't put things on your face that bleaches your towels!!!

Pros:

Shows signs of improvement after the first couple of times, skin feels smooth & soft afterward, easy to obtain, nice packaging.

Cons:

Isn't the best acne treatment on the market anymore, doesn't cure scars, stops working after a few months, if you're not consistent your face will suffer the consequences.

I would recommend this product to anyone that has light acne severity. For those who have it worse (like me), I would strongly suggest getting over-the-counter treatment (for me, the best over-the-counter treatment I got was Clenia). At first, Proactive helped improve the appearance of my face. But after a couple of months, it started to die down and I would still get breakouts, whether I was consistent with my face-washing or not. And if I was to miss a session, I felt that my face got ten times worse than before. Again, it's a decent product (especially now that you can get them for cheap and at the mall), but not intended for anyone with serious acne problems.

Pros:

NOTHING! i didn't even get to use it!

Cons:

i ordered Proactive October 5th under the Express shipping 2-3 days. I HAVE YET TO SEE IT. i wrote to them two wks after not getting it and they said they refunded my card for the shipping. i didn't give them any acct info! After a month of not...

...getting it. I finally called to adk what is up. Apparently it was shipped to the nearest fedex(never said what one) and i had to pick it up, since i didn't show they sent is back!. i was to get a letter in the mail i was supposed to sign so they can resend it. NEVER resieves a letter. I am calling tmo to cancel it and i am going to Acnefree! Don't order it unless you are ready to make phone calls everyday til you finally decide to cancel!

Pros:

Proactiv works for people with mild acne it you have light acne ,them most likey it will work for you . you have to giv it time first it will give you little bumps cause it bringing out all the pimple what would have popped up in time

Cons:

it works but lets just say you move away to a hot climate and you start to produce more oil , it might not work as good as it use

I started using proactiv 3 years ago about my 2nd year into using it . I moved to FL where it is hot , i started to produce more oil than i use to , so proactiv wasnt not working as good as it use to, i had to be put on something strong (like Tazorac ,works GREAT!!!!) then i moved bac to my home town were it gets cold , taz became too strong. So i switched bac to proactv , it started works great agian . Now im clear !!!!, i do have bad breakouts on my forehead every now in then (but i just got of birth control not to long a ago , and if you are on birth control and you get off , your hormones will go sick ) so i have to go bac on it to claim my hormones down .. but overall its a great product , if you have serious acne i think you should not use proactiv it might not work , or you can try the extra strenth formula proactiv (its new ) that might work , if not ask your dermo about tazorac it works wonders !!!

Pros:

cleared up under the skin acne and a fast way to get rid of overskin/underskin acne.

Cons:

It didn't really prevent zits.... everyday i had more. old ones were gone, but new ones kept popping up.

my acne wasn't that bad, but im a perfectionist. I was determinded to get better than not bad. Proactive really did help me with this goal. the first 3 weeks my acne was basiclly nonexistent.... but then my skin became irritated, dried out and peeling. i had to re-apply lotion at least 8 times a day.... it was awful. after that i cut down on my application, and then all the ance came back. after about a week of suffering through dry skin, blackheads and zits, i gave up and switched to a more promising product. eh. proactive is alright. doesn't work very well for harsh acne though.

Pros:

It makes my skin feel good..

Cons:

And I've been using it for about a month now; I have more acne than I used to; Is that just because it's STILL bringing it all out? Or should I just stop using?

I wanna know how long it takes to work on REAL PEOPLE. HELP! Hopeemilyxoxoo@[link removed]

Pros:

quick treatment, works off and on.. Love the SPF moisterizer.

Cons:

Will dry skin out horrible if u dont use a moisterizer, time consuming! Not consistant. Very sun-light sensitive after use.Very expensive.

I can use Pro activ for about two-three weeks, an it works great, instantly clears my skin. But then it starts to dry my skin out(even with the moisterizer), an i have to switch to another more gently wash to almost heal or replenish my skin, when my skin starts to break out again i return to pro-activ.(after another 1-2 weeks) I know it cant be healthy but its the only system that keeps my skin clear consistantly! I would only recomend as long as you use a moisterizer religiously and stop if it starts burning. u have to be careful with pro activ its very harsh.
