Pros:

It works. If you you use it right n are consistent with it, it WILL work! it leaves your skin feeling really good n clean

Cons:

you have to use it EVERYDAY n don't get lazy and it's price, but well it is a good product. Oh and it can be tempting to skip it once you see results or are too tired.

It works very well, it makes your skin look and feel clean, it doesn't leave it dry or flacky, it leaves (or keeps in my case)your skin soft and smooth. The mask works very well just don't let it get old. Also, I would like to add that if you drink plenty of water every day, your skin will be beautiful and hydrated. Perhaps try starting with a goal like drinking one bottle of water a day. That's waht I did and it works very well for me. May God bless you and I hope you find a solution to your acne problems.

Pros:

It keeps my skin under control - after it started going crazy at age 21

Cons:

Every now and then I get a brekout, but nothing like I was before! It also can make your skin feel extremely dry and tight if you dont put the moisture back in.

The first time I used this product I had a red face and it was itchy. But after it got used to the peroxide it was fine. This product is for people with serious acne, not a little bit here and there. The moisturiser is absolutely useless, but you need to use ALL of the other products one after the other. If you skip a product, it wont work. If you skip an application, you get the breakout straight away. I actually use Shiseido Moisturiser and Toner after the Repairing Lotion. This works. Now I have great skin. IF YOU DONT HAVE BAD ACNE TO BEGIN WITH DONT USE THIS PRODUCT, ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE

Pros:

it works great with the refining mask!

Cons:

It dries your skin at first and they dont tell you how important the refining mask is.

You need to know that any acne product will dry your skin initially it is expected. I tried moisturizers and found one that worked for me that I would apply after proactiv. Its all trial and error. My face cleared up somewhat at first, then every three days i would apply their refining mask and within like two weeks my face was clear. I think thats why they call it combination therapy which includes the sulfur mask, also i noticed murad also uses a sulfur mask. the sulfur mask which i found in combination with the three steps and the moisturizer that fits YOUR skin really worked. my skin was completely clear, we need patience and dont touch your face!!!!

Pros:

Clears up skin within a couple weeks. Works very well with continued use as a routine.

Cons:

Reddens face! Always need sunscreen if outside for long peroids of time while using.

I used proactive for about two years after being frustrated with my skin being very clear for a while then very breaken-out. In the beginning, it worked very well. I got many compliments. Then after a couple months I started breaking out badly then clearing up like before. My skin was also getting red and very very sensetive! I tried to stop using proactive and the week I did, my break outs became worse than before! Way worse! Now my skin can't handle simple over the counter products and going back to proactive is hard because its too harsh for my skin. IF YOU WANT TO USE PROACTIVE, MAKE SURE YOU ARE OK WITH CONTINUIG TO USE IT FOR HOWEVER LONG. I ONLY recommend using it if you have meduim to severe acne.

Pros:

Great marketing, effective spokesperson bandwagon....clever strategy

Cons:

occasional burning, time consuming regimen, new daily areas of acne, localized redness, expense of auto-ordering, cleaner seems too harsh/coarse like sandpaper on skin

After having my baby 2 yrs ago i started to get acne for the first time (at 30!) - i finally decided to try proactiv out last month and regret it now. i am stuck in this weird cycle of additional zits each day, and even WAY more extra blemishes when i try to wean myself off the juice, cutting back to once a day or skipping a day. How odd is that!I am going to bite the bullet and try only using it on my chin where the my original blemishes appeared, but if thats ineffective there, i will go cold turkey and discontinue. Worst thing is that I wake up each morning with crazy deep red wrinkles/creases I never had before. And I dont like how it strips my face so much that I feel shiny, especially on the nose. shiny and red - thats reserved for Rudolph. No thanks! Probably better for those with severe acne, not mildly/occasionally blemished folks with dry skin except the t-zone like myself. At least I gave it a try!

Pros:

I JUST started using the Proactive... as in three days, so I am not here to criticize it. I was just looking for reviews and came upon this site. All my THREEs in the rating respresent NEUTRAL because I don't know yet one way or the other. FOURs...

... get used to it and then stopping causes even WORSE break outs, and as it is, I rarely get a pimple; most I usually get at a time is 3, and that's near my cycle. I rather deal with 2 or 3 pimples for a few days, than a lifetime committment to an expensive product, and the possibility of worse breakouts later. I realize the over the counters have worked greatly... I do switch between two or three cleaners every six months or so, which even derms reccommend, I believe. If I had really bad skin, then I might be willing to take the chance that this could help me, but as my skin is probably in the 90th+ percentile, I'll continue with what I have. I am stating that I DO NOT reccommend to those who only get cycle pimples, and guys who really have no need to be obsessed with that one or two pimples during a stressful time. Honestly, I do know that my face is best when I drink at leat the reccommended 8 glasses of water... and I do drink a lot of water.

Try it if you want. but it might not work
Worked for a while. And then my skin just got resistant to it, so it no longer worked.

Pros:

Makes face soft, less oily, and keeps ance down abit.

Cons:

Doesn't really work like it says it does in the commercials. Doesn't get the head out of all the bumps, just the small ones.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with bad ance and very sensitive skin. It only got to the small bumps on my face, kept it soft, and sort of clear. It didn't do what I thought it would do in about 5 weeks like, get to all my deep black heads and make my face super clear, lol.

Pros:

It heals fast

Cons:

It is very expensive compared to acne.org. It is not worth the price. The main problem with proactiv is that acne bacteria becomes resistant to tis ingredients. Why? Because acne bacteria tries SO HARD to survive on the skin that it basically fights with the product for the pore area and after using it for more than three months you will see that the initial results will begin to reduce until it seems like your wasting your money cause it doesn't do anything anymore. I'm a microbiologist.

Overall proactiv is not a product that you could use always. Acne.org can be used always because it heals and you won't be struggling with the fact that it doesn't work, because it will clear your skin.

Pros:

Worked at first,

Cons:

Too expensive,
Doesn't work after using it for a while

If you happen to have light acne then this is probably the right item but if you have severe or moderate acne you probably want to get something more strong becuase this isn't that strong. And not the mention this only works the first few month and it just stops working after that. Good luck :)
