Pros:

NONE

Cons:

Drys skin, breaks you out worse

Bottom line is that this product is a joke. Any celebrity can promote any product for a fee. Dont believe everything you see or read. ON top of the product not working, The company itself is rude and not willing to help. Watch out for the billing cycle. I cancelled the product over a month ago and they are sitll billing me!! Stay away from proactive and just quit drinking soda's!

Pros:

None

Cons:

it dried out my skin and made my acne worse... i didn't have terrible acne before it and it was much worse after.

Acne free is better and less expensive. Proactiv is a waste of money.

Pros:

I like the scent

Cons:

Doesn't help with moderate-severe acne, cystic acne, or inflamed acne which is what I have now at age 29. I actually tried this "solution" ten years ago at age 19 when I had moderate acne (just a few nodules, some blackheads). It cleared me up after one week using it. Proved effective until about two months of use. Then I became allergic to it as it caused my face to break out in mild rash.

May be worth it for mild acne. Didn't work for me now that I've tried to treat my cystic acne.

Pros:

nothing... I liked the commercials I guess? LOL

Cons:

I still had acne and got new acne while i was on it and its expensive.

It didnt work for me. I still had acne and was still getting new acne while i was on this regime. I used it for a month and a half without skipping a day and seen no results. I used it night and day. I guess it just didnt work for me. So i returned it. I tired using zinc supplements for a week now after reading zinc supplement reviews and thats the only thing that worked for me and i had acne for 11 years. I hate proactiv. Fortunately, I got my money back. If your thinking that your going to be one of the lucky ones that it will work on...that may be true but you'll be spending a fortune for the rest of your life, so ATLEAST try zinc before you try proactiv most people get zinc for 5$ and it works for them. You just may have a zinc deficiency like me that you dont know about... READ THE REVIEWS ON ZINC.

Pros:

WARNING!!!! at the beginning felt great I had a few hormonal breakouts. Proactive did clear most of it.

Cons:

After months worth of use, I was getting these big, painful red bumps that you can't pop because its cystic acne.

Horrible that this marketing scam tricks your skin to becoming dependant on the product, your body and skin does become immune to anything if it;s constantly exposed to it.I was using it for quite some time and then I had these big red bumps that I thought "If I'm using the Proactiv, I shou;d be clear, not breaking out." Bottom line don't do it, your better off with Clean and Clear, use tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar.

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

everything

Proactiv is an overpriced piece of crap that actually makes acne worse. I have used it twice now and both times it led to horrible breakouts. It only appears to be working for some because the product bleaches the skin causing more irritation that leads to more acne.

Pros:

informercial is very convincing (if you want to consider that a pro)

Cons:

Dried out my face
It bleached certain areas of my face. I didn't realize it until I got some sun on my face & there were "white splotches" from the product. I called Proactiv & they said that could happen-real nice! Wouldn't have used it I had kno

Didn't help me.....made my skin worse from the "bleaching." I don'trecall ever reading about it bleaching your skin, clothing yes, skin no. I would have NEVER used it if I knew.

Pros:

The only pro I can think of is my skin felt nice immediately after I washed it...but that's it!

Cons:

Way too expensive, harsh on the skin...see below

I have heard that Proactiv has really helped a lot of people, but it didn't help me at all. I had little to no skin problems my entire life and started to break out like crazy around my mouth about 6 mos. ago. I bought Proactiv because I was roped in by the advertising and thought it would really clear me up. It didn't: Instead, my pimples STAYED and I began to develop cystic acne that have left nasty marks on my face (I had never had cystic acne before I used Proactiv!) The book I got with it said to stick with it and that it sometimes takes 6 weeks for you skin to show improvement. I ended up using it for almost 3 months and there was absolutely no improvement at all. I think I stayed on it for so long because I heard that if you go off of it, your acne will get worse. Well, I can tell you that isn't the case: I switched to Neutrogena Oil Free Cleanser and my skin feels a lot better. So if you want to try it, go ahead, it might work for you, but my experience was very sour.
