Pros:

Covers pimples
Is buildable for more coverage
Controls oil and shine

Cons:

Can be too drying
Caused more fine lines
Causes more bumpy skin

I have used this product for 2 years and I have oily skin. At first, I was in love. It controlled my oil, covered my acne, and did reduce my breakouts. I used it with the Clinique foundation brush (highly recommend) and washed it daily with the brush cleaner, which might have been the cause of the improvement in breakouts. I used the foundation also as a concealer on my pimples and it stuck to my pimples much better than other foundations or concealers. I tried the Acne Solutions concealer but it was SO overly drying it was useless - a waste of money. After a few months with the foundation I found that it was so oil controlling that my skin appeared to age and become tighter so that when I smiled I had lots of fine lines. I am 31 and looking back at pictures over the last few years I do feel like I've aged more quickly. When I use it, I never need a powder to control shine. My blush and bronzer settle into my fine lines. I also notice that while I have fewer actual pimples, I have a lot more bumps. Instead of the pus turning into a zit, it will become harder and dried and just stay as a bump without getting red. I'd have to use a pimple tool to remove the hard pus, which I know sounds gross and leads to scarring if not careful, but in sunlight the bumps are visible and still indicative of acne even though you can't see the red. Recently, I tried Clinique's other foundation products to try to alternate in an attempt to get some of the fine lines to go away with a less drying foundation. However, none of them cover the way I need them to and I have gone back to the Acne Solutions for the days in which I really need to look good.

Pros:

covers well, doesnt break me out, stays on a long time on my oily skin, matte finish

Cons:

it can look cakey at times, can dry your skin out a bit, over time may start to look dull.

I always go back to this foundation. It keeps my skin in check (along with retina and a good cleanser). Sometimes I search for something better but so far I haven't found it and since I am afraid of breaking out I keep wearing this.

Pros:

-A little goes a long way
-Contains 0.5% Salycilic Acid
-Buildable coverage
-Easy squeeze tube
-Doesn't make the face look cakey.
-Cute packaging

Cons:

-Reapplying constantly when sweating or after a while.
-Doesn't fully cover the acne marks.
-There aren't a lot of shades to choose from on the sales counter, so if you are the shade in between the two, you have to go with the warmest color. Sometimes it doesn't match the skin very well.

I saw it in a magazine and I thought it was going to be the best foundation, but after this is done, i'm going to try something else. Don't get me wrong. This foundation is good but the shade doesn't really match me and I think liquid is SOMETIMES over the top for me. I just want perfect skin so I don't need face makeup anymore.

Average
Lightest shade was too pink for my skin, didn't stay on all day and was pretty weak coverage. Pretty overpriced.

Doesn't help, but doesn't hurt
This is my everyday makeup simply because it does not break me out more. I have been using it for a few years, and through clear skin and bad breakouts, my skin does not look any worse or better whether I wear it or not. Unlike most of the other users, I actually have had good results with blending this makeup. I think with the right brush and the right person behind the the counter helping you pick a color you really can get a great color and coverage. I do suggest that you blend the foundation down onto your neck so that you don't get any weird lines and that you put a powder foundation over your face AND chest to further your blend, but that is up to you. All in all, this has been a great foundation for helping me feel more confident in my own skin. But as I stated previously, this is not a treatment, it will not help your acne at all.

Foundation that does NOT break you out

Pros:

medium coverage foundation, so it can even out skin tone
does NOT cause break outs

Cons:

a little hard to work with (must apply it quickly)

Just to be clear before I go into this product's imperfections (which some other reviewers have also stated) this is a GREAT foundation for acne-prone skin. I am a 40+ year old woman who has had various levels of acne for about 20 years. So believe me I have tried a lot of foundations - liquid, powder, combinations, etc - and regardless of how I feel about their other attributes, nearly everything breaks out my sensitive, very acne prone skin. This is a foundation that does not. So that alone makes it worth recommending. Many makeups say they are non-comedegenic or for sensitive or acne skin or whatever. But this one actually does NOT break me out. So, I recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a moderate coverage foundation. Be aware that this does contain salcylic acid, so you may not want to use this at the same time you have a BP product on your face, and be aware if you are particularly sensitive to SA. That said, here are the drawbacks: It is a little hard to work with as a foundation. I find it best to either apply a moisturizer or SPF before hand to kind of prime my skin, and/or apply with my fingers by having my fingers a little damp and trying to apply this quickly. Works well as a concealer though, if you want to use it that way. My skin feels both a little oily later in the day (so not exactly a major oil controller) but the SA over time can also cause skin to flake a little like it's too dry.

Pros:

Decent coverage
Feels nice on the skin
Great for oily skin
Returnable if bought at Sephora

Cons:

Doesn't come in right shades
Looks very fake

All the shades are pink based, and I have neutral-to-yellow based skin. It doesn't blend well or look natural. I spent so much time trying on all the shades, the Sephora lady convinced me that it looked great and felt great but when I got home... it looked sooo obvious. So i brought it back and got another shade, same thing. It only looks okay in certain light, otherwise it looks too obvious. I hope they can start making it in more shades and maybe i can give it another try! For now, I'll stick with my Nars oil-free: same price, it looks much more natural and provides the same great coverage, although it doesn't have ingredients that actively improve your skin. At least it comes in my shade!

love
I love foundations for acne skin. I have acne prone skin so I need all the help I can get. I like coverage skin tone is pretty good even if its a little pink for me. I don't like that it does not have a pump. Price is not to bad.

Doesn't help with acne
If you are thinking of buying this because of its acne-fighting ingredient, you'll be disappointed - it does nothing. As a foundation, it's just as good as drugstore products or might even be a little worse because of its colour. It has medium to light coverage and doesn't blend in well. For $33, it ain't worth it.

My back-up foundation.
I have dry, sensitive skin and it has never caused my breakouts to get worse. This is more of a light/medium coverage foundation that works for when I just feel like covering some particularly bad spots. The color is probably the worst thing about this foundation, it's fine when I first apply but after a few hours it seems to get darker (more orange in my case). I've never had trouble blending it but definitely not a creamy foundation. Shouldn't be used as treatment (why would you do that??). Overall just a meh foundation. You're better off trying to find a drugstore foundation that you love.
