Pros:

Covers pimples
Is buildable for more coverage
Controls oil and shine

Cons:

Can be too drying
Caused more fine lines
Causes more bumpy skin

I have used this product for 2 years and I have oily skin. At first, I was in love. It controlled my oil, covered my acne, and did reduce my breakouts. I used it with the Clinique foundation brush (highly recommend) and washed it daily with the brush cleaner, which might have been the cause of the improvement in breakouts. I used the foundation also as a concealer on my pimples and it stuck to my pimples much better than other foundations or concealers. I tried the Acne Solutions concealer but it was SO overly drying it was useless - a waste of money. After a few months with the foundation I found that it was so oil controlling that my skin appeared to age and become tighter so that when I smiled I had lots of fine lines. I am 31 and looking back at pictures over the last few years I do feel like I've aged more quickly. When I use it, I never need a powder to control shine. My blush and bronzer settle into my fine lines. I also notice that while I have fewer actual pimples, I have a lot more bumps. Instead of the pus turning into a zit, it will become harder and dried and just stay as a bump without getting red. I'd have to use a pimple tool to remove the hard pus, which I know sounds gross and leads to scarring if not careful, but in sunlight the bumps are visible and still indicative of acne even though you can't see the red. Recently, I tried Clinique's other foundation products to try to alternate in an attempt to get some of the fine lines to go away with a less drying foundation. However, none of them cover the way I need them to and I have gone back to the Acne Solutions for the days in which I really need to look good.

Pros:

* does not block pores
* easy to apply
* covers red marks well
* being a party boy I tend to fall asleep with my make up on (Naughty I know) but when I do, I dont wake up to a break out.
* Bottle lasts for ages
* many colours to match your tone.

Cons:

*Hard to build on.
* can go orangey if applied to thick.
* If dry skin it can go cakey and flakey

Just make sure you have moisturized before hand, its excellent best make up I have ever bought.

Pros:

covers well, doesnt break me out, stays on a long time on my oily skin, matte finish

Cons:

it can look cakey at times, can dry your skin out a bit, over time may start to look dull.

I always go back to this foundation. It keeps my skin in check (along with retina and a good cleanser). Sometimes I search for something better but so far I haven't found it and since I am afraid of breaking out I keep wearing this.

Pros:

Helps the acne

Cons:

Orangey

Okay so, I am currently using this and its not bad. I mean it covers up the problems and that's what you want right? Well anyway, I'm very pale and it does give me a little bit of an orange tint. I have been thinking about blending it in with another type of foundation (any brand) that is a little bit lighter and seeing what happens then. I heard that works. OH, and it kinda lasts long. But not too long. After a while it does look flaky.

Pros:

Matte finish
Great coverage
Lasts all day (+)

Cons:

Even the lightest shade is an obvious orangey-pink in sunlight, really have to learn to blend

I think I'll always advocate for this foundation- It's amazing. I don't think it directly clears skin, but it definitely doesn't irritate it. Once, my purse got stolen and I lost my bottle of this (I cried) so I had to use a cheap back-up drugstore foundation- and I found that it actually did make my skin worse. So I began to truly appreciate Clinique! I read an earlier review that this stuff only lasts 3 hours at most...I actually don't agree at all. It lasts me 7am until 9pm, flawlessly. Once, I even wore it to school all day, then to a party at night, then a sleepover, and then a 7-hour work shift the next morning. No touchups. (I don't recommend doing that or anything- just a busy weekend) I tried wearing it while surfing....the I own Even Better and Redness Solutions also by Clinique, but they're neglected in my makeup cabinet. I just love Acne Solution's matte finish and full coverage- no shiny-ness whatsoever. Yeaaah it's expensive, especially in Canada (or anywhere other than the US) but it's SO worth it.

Pros:

covered up acne
didn't break me out
was smooth, even looking
natural?

Cons:

didn't help my acne... at all
i have oily skin yet it was still kinda drying
can be orangey looking

I use this foundation about everyday I like how it's very easy to apply and even looking, but make sure you have the right shade or it can look kind of orange-ish. It didn't help my acne at all and I know other people who have used this and it didn't help their acne either, but it didn't break me out and i felt like I wasn't making my skin totally worse as if I were using some super cakey, full coverage, mac foundation or something. hope this helps overall i liked it but i can probably still find better!

Pros:

Feels nice and light on my skin. Doesn't make me breakout. Lasts ages. Smells decent.

Cons:

Not high coverage but enough for what I need. If you try and put more on to build up coverage makes the colour look odd.

Medium coverage. Took me a couple of tries to get the colour right. I ended up with a shade number 4 but accidentally bought the 5 first time around. Really happy with it so far. Use it with a concealer brush. Makes a huge difference. I have tried a bunch of different cover ups but they either break me out or aren't enough coverage. This one seems to work pretty well.

Pros:

-Doesn't break me out
-Looks good on me
-Natural looking coverage, but covers marks well enough (especially if you use concealer before)

Cons:

-You have to know exactly how to apply it or it causes tide lines/doesnt blend well
-Expensive, not found in drug stores
-Rubs off somewhat easily

I have very fair skin. The Alabaster color is the lightest they have, and it although it isn't an EXACT match like Fit Me is-- it gives my skin color and life, and when I use a foundation brush (I used to use a sponge and it looked horrible) it applies easily and with some blending looks flawless. I have to do some blotting through the day (my skin is very oily, and Arizona summers are hot) and powder reapplication, but it lasts me from 7AM-10PM most days. I've used this for a year now, and every time I switch foundations my skin gets horrible cystic break outs. This is the only foundation my skin will tolerate. I've gone through four bottles and I'm going to stick with it. It's worth trying, at least getting the Clinique ladies to sample it for you at the counter. If you apply it well, this foundation is very nice.

Pros:

Has salicylic acid in the formula
Good match for very pale skin
Covers marks and acne effectively

Cons:

Very drying - causes flakiness
Too drying to wear around the eyes
Very hard to blend as it seems to dry to quickly
Just ok lasting power not the greatest I've had
Expensive in Ireland

This foundation attracted me due to the fact that it contains salicylic acid so I thought that it would be beneficial to treat and conceal at the same time. The colour match for my pale skin is really good and it remains that way and doesn't oxidise throughout the day to an orange colour. There is no way that I could wear this everyday though as it is far too drying for that. It really hurts when it dries up the skin around my eyes and cheeks as I have combination skin, maybe it would be ok if you were oily all over. Overall I'd say this would be a good foundation for oily skin that can tolerate the 2% salicylic acid in contact with it all day and the formula that is not moisturising at all. I use it over moisturiser and don't put it on my eye area. It also works great as a concealer :)

Pros:

-Good coverage
-Silky texture
-Oil free
-Prevents breakouts

Cons:

-Expensive
-Doesn't moisturize

This product is worth trying if your self conscious about your skin. It covers blemishes well and also prevents breakouts however moisturizer should be applied before application as it can be quite drying.
