I developed moderate to server acne after I had my first son and the age of 22. I'm now 30 and I finally found something that works! I've use everything on the market, from proactive to nutrogena, nothing seemed to help in fact in some cases it made it worse. Dealing with acne was an ongoing battle it really made my self confidence go down. My mom recommended this to me, she has been using Clinique products for over 30 years. I was a little sceptical at first (let's be honest nothing worked so far) but to my surprise it worked like magic. It instantly cleared up the little blemishes, then over the coarse of a week it cleared up the large under the skin painful cyst acne. I couldn't believe it!! My only warning is use the 3rd step (the clearing moisturizer) sparingly. If I use too much is stings my face and makes it dry. My face is smooth and soft, I actually get complements on my skin!!

Pros:

-Saw results after one day of use
-Works fast
-Clears skin and keeps it clean
-Simple and easy

Cons:

-If you skip using it for a day the acne will come back.
-Dries out skin in places around the nose and mouth if you don't use the moisturizer, and if you use products other than this.

Really good and worth its price to the last penny. I fell head over heels in love with this product when I started using this. I'm teenager so my acne is pretty bad but its not totally severe. I've used every single acne product you can think of and none of them have worked like this. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get rid of acne forever! :)

Pros:

- Cleared up my adult acne!
- Not as drying on my skin as using the Acne.org regimen twice daily
- Smells fresh
- Leaves my skin soft

Cons:

- Slightly drying in winter months, but SO worth it to me
- The cleanser doesn't seem to clean my skin completely, so I use Acne.org's cleanser instead

I don't write online reviews ever. But I had to make an exception here in the event that I can help someone out, goodness knows I would have appreciated it! Here's my story, I've battled acne for over 15 years (I'm 30 now). I went through two 5 month doses of Accutane as a teenager which cleared things up for a few years, but once out of college, my acne flared up again and seemed to get worse every year. From age 24 to 30, I tried a number of acne-fighting lines: Pro-Activ which worked for a few months then turned my skin scaly and red, Aveda's Acne line which didn't do much, multiple different prescriptions (oral and topical) from the dermatologist, and then Acne.org. Dan's regimen worked on to an extent, but my already sensitive skin became red and flaky, which would have been manageable, but I still had pimples...so it didn't seem worth it to me. Looking to change things up once again, I perused lots of reviews online and settled on trying Clinique as a last ditch effort before heading back to the derm and requesting Accutane. And I'm so glad that I did! I use the Clinique regimen in the morning, and the Acne.org face wash and BP at night, and within 3 weeks, my face became 100% clear...I'm seriously amazed. Now that I've been using this regimen for a while, I've added Clinque's "dramatically different moisturizing gel" in the summer, and Clinique's "moisture surge" in the winter. I finally have skin I feel proud of. It's soft and blemish free which is something I haven't been able to say in a long time. And even better, I've been able to slowly add in anti-aging creams without the fear of breaking out. I can't recommend this line enough, and if you try it, I hope it works the same for you!

Pros:

- Cleared acne after dedicated usage
- Made face look overall cleaner, fresher, smoother
- Paired with Even Better skin tone corrector moisturized, made skin very soft.. cleared acne dark spots.

Cons:

- Dries skin out (however, I pair the system with the Even Better skin tone corrector moisturizer for the acne spots I had)

I have bought this product again and again. It is expensive, but for me, definitely worth it. I have mild acne, (I used to have it pretty severe when I was younger, however it's mild now and I only have dark spots left from picking at my face when I was younger -- terrible!) I used the system morning and night, and after each use I used the Even Better Skin Tone Corrector Moisturizer. It never felt too dry after. I use bare minerals make up, and it didn't seem to affect anything. I will continue to buy this product. It hits my pockets hard, but after dedicated usage, my skin looks and feels better and I feel more confident in my appearance. (Total price -- about 100. 50 for the kit and 50 for the moisturizer.)

- PRICEY!
- For "Amazing" results use with

(TO SAVE MONEY BUY THE AS BAR INSTEAD OF THE FOAM) Hey I'm Corey black college student from Chicago. I only found out aboutClinique due to my grandmother getting employed there. I had pretty bad dark spots and acne as well. Oh and I had these wierd under the skin bumps that were the mf worst.I used this stuff and at first my acne got ten times worst and I was ready to toss it. My granny told me to keep at it though. She said that the first month it pulls all acne beneath the skin. Sure enough it did clear up mid second month. I have not had one dark spot since using it great stuff. By using only the AS treatment alone you get average results nothing too amazing especially if you dont shave. However, paired with other products from the Clinique line you get skin so great all of my ex gfs wanted to know what I used. When girls want to know you know its good. Still, the cost can be steep so I suggest using the extra less than advised to save on monthly cost.

For those of you who claim that it dries you out, well yes its supposed to do that because its supposed to exfoliate your skin (kind of like accutane). This will make your acne worse since your old skin may have bacteria, dirt or oil which would be your future pimple. This product is wonderful, its meant for people with serious acne. I am on my third set of acne solutions. After being on accutane, it has helped to keep me clear since i started to get my cystic acne back within a year. if its too dry then just get their moisture surge gel and it will help. Also try the clay mask for acne solutions, it really helps to take out blackhead and other stuff. I will keep using it.

I had been breaking out really badly, nothing was working normally i used proactive but it just wasnt working anymore. I have tried everything with no luck. This system cleared my skin up within the first week. I did have a small flare up around day two but by the end of my first week (which was day one of my periods usually my worst break out day) I was completely clear. This system healed my spots faster and seems to reduce old scares. Even spots that have been consistent and reoccuring are clear. I love this product i dont feel the need to wear makeup anymore. I use the clinque moist. Surg lotion with this because it dose dry my skin out. I normally have really dry skin so i need a lotion anyways. But i cant say enough how much this has help.

Relatively Expensive (but cheaper than ProActiv)

I posted a review when I first tried this 1 year ago and am pleased to say it's still my product of choice. After using ProActiv for 5 years, it suddenly stopped working for me. I picked Clinique based on reviews and because moisturizer contains 2% benzoyl peroxide as suggested by this site. I've since changed up the Clinique products. Here's my routine: -Clinique Liquid Facial Soap #3 for Oily Skin (Clinique's acne face wash is too drying) -Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion (good exfoliant) -Clinique's Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer (this is clearly not a moisturizer but contains the required 2% BP for clear skin) -Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (really does moisturize and leave skin smooth) At night, I only wash my face and do not add an moisturizer or BP as I like for my skin to breathe. Makeup always makes me breakout so I avoid all foundations. Hope someone reads this and finds it helpful!!

this stuff is amazing! i tried the regular clinique 3-step system, and it didnt' work. after reading reviews, i decided to give this a shot, and thank god i did! in just a week, my acne was completely cleared up, and i only get the occasional blemish. also, despite what i had heard, it doesn't dry out my skin. definitely try this out!

First, let me just get this out of the way-- those of you who just get a couple pimples here and there, or simply wish your pores were cuter, this product was not made for you, and you shouldn't be using it! This is a fairly heavy duty product. I am 31 and my skin was great in high school. In college it started to get worse, and for the past year it's been worse than ever. We're talking big, painful, itchy, humiliating zits that spawn and scar like crazy. I've been resisting trying something like this because I generally prefer to go the natural route-- but tea tree oil/etc. just was not working. Nothing was working. After 10 days, my skin has completely cleared. The scars are still there of course, but I can touch my face and it doesn't hurt. Yes, it's drying-- that's how this stuff gets the job done. I skip the lotion every few days and use regular moisturizer instead to alleviate the flakiness, plus drink lots of water and eat plenty of citrus, nuts, etc. Will definitely be getting this product again.
