HORRIBLE!!!!!!
Do not put this on your skin!!! Is so strong and is just gonna make your acne worse!! When I was looking for a cure for acne I always wanted the strongest product as possible because i thought that would speed the process and get my acne cure quicker and that is why i bought this product, what a disappointment!!! It makes your skin red and makes your acne 100% worse!! The only decent product on this is the moisturizers but nothing special specially for the price!

Pros:

- My skin felt fresh
- Cleared up all blackheads
- Got rid of my oily skin (to normal)

Cons:

- After 3 months, I was still not clear of acne
- My acne was worse than before
- Expensive

I was using this for 3 months, and at the start my skin did get worse but the 3 step does claim that your skin will most likely get worse before getting better. The lady at the counter said most people's acne clears up at around 6 weeks of using it, mine however did not but even so I stuck with it. I kept telling myself that my skin would eventually be clear, but my acne never cleared and I finally realised that this was not helping so I went off it. My skin was better before I started this whole clinique regimen.

Pros:

Looking forward to my refund.

Cons:

It irritated my skin, made it burn. I can't smile because my skin is so tight.

My friend used it and she said it worked great for her. We purchased it at the same time. I have been using Clinique's three step for quite some time. I rarely break out and so when i did I started freaking out and told my clinique sales rep that i needed to get rid of the acne - fast. She recommended the acne solutions. I abided and when I used it, my skin started feeling irritated and started burning. My face was so tight, it hurt to laugh. I figured my skin just had to get used to it.. After about four days of using it, my skin has exploded with blotches! From someone who used to have clear, smooth skin... I am extremely upset. I plan on locking myself in my house until a miracle happens and cures my of my wretched skin. No, I'm not vain... it's THAT bad.

?????????
The first time I tried this was when I was in LA three years ago (it included a spot gel at the time). It worked wonders within about a week, and I continued using it once I got back to the UK. However, it seemed to stop working over the next few weeks and my acne was coming back and getting progressively worse, so I stopped using the set and moved on to the next product (you guys know how it is). I went through loads of different products with varying success, but then earlier this year, I decided I needed something a bit stronger- so I went to my local Clinique counter and got the set again along with the dark spot corrector. I was sure it would work this time. I couldn't have been more wrong because it aggravated my acne to the extent that it has gotten worse than it has been in ages and is now really getting me down (and to be honest, it never really got me down before, no matter how bad it was). I don't know if the products work better in sunny LA weather, or if the UK formula is a bit off, but whichever way, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.

Pros:

- based only on reviews of this page, it seems to work for some people

Cons:

- very dangerous drying effects that can cause your acne to worsen

Be very careful with this product. Everyone's skin is different and this product is very strong and definitely not for everyone. I have used this for a couple of months and it has make my skin horrible. I have been getting huge pimples on my face that are extremely painful. These big painful pimples that I got are actually infections caused by dry skin from using this product. Our pores have sebaceous glands which produce sebum (an oily/waxy matter). When our skin sheds, some dead skin cells left behind may become stuck together by the sebum which causes a blockage of the pore. The glands then produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage creating pimples. Having dry skin interrupts the skins natural shedding process and can cause more blockage to our pores, and in turn, pimples. The sebum can't get out when our skin is dry cause it blocks the pores, so keep your skin hydrated! I learnt this when I went to a spa this past weekend to get a facial and purchased organic hydrating products and can already see an improvement in my face. Dermotologists and other specialists will tell you that it is good to dry out pimples which is completely wrong. Be careful when looking for acne products as people are usually trying to push certain products for compensation and/or are just unknowledgeable. It's not that easy, as even specialists and professionals misguide you with their advice and they are the ones who are supposed to be the experts.

Pros:

Helped dry up my pimples and oil. You can buy a trial size of the 3 products for $40, which is not bad at all for Clinique.

Cons:

Dried out my skin, to the point that it was itching and burning. My face was flaky after a couple of days of using it. I was also getting hives because my skin was so irritated. No fragrance either, and I thought it smelled horrible.

I would NOT recommend this is you have sensitive skin! The Clinique rep that sold this to me said it was fine for sensitive skin, but I don't know where she got that from. I had to stop using it after the third day because my skin was on fire and it felt so tight and irritated. The products are pretty strong and I don't see how someone could possibly use them every day. It would maybe work for someone with thicker, non-sensitive skin, but this was not for me.

Pros:

acts like it works for the first week, good return policy i returned it after trying their whole 3 step system and the make up and all for 6 months

Cons:

absolute crap, ruins your skin, makes you get zits all over your cheeks and their make up and concealer just makes you break out all over in places you never had acne in before!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE. I wish I hadn't been conned into buying their crap for 6 months. I spent over 100 bucks at that darn counter and it resulted in nothing but a face that is MUCH worse than what it was to begin with. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use their crap. I am 22, and I never had a zit on my cheek in my entire life til I used this stuff, now both my cheeks are full of them. And how do I know its Clinique that caused all this? I stopped using Clinique and switched to Sephora brand make up, and cheap drugstore cleansers like Cetaphil, and my skin is instantly clearing up!

Pros:

Makes your completion evenly tonned

Cons:

expensive
dries out skin

I never had huge problems with my skin untill i started working at a pizzeria. I worked there for 9 months and by the end of it, my skin looked horrible. It was red, blotchy and I had little pimples and huge systic ance all over my cheeks. I always had used proactive but it stopped working for me so I tried Clean and clear advantage, facial scrubs, Acne Free, I've tried Zap it, every facial cream you can imagine, i've even tried baking soda and lemon juice on my pimples. Nothing worked, and all the washing left my skin extreemly red and blotchy. I went to the bon ton to check out clinique and the sales lady told me it would work for me, she said that at first my skin would get worse but after about a month it would get beter. I have been using clinique for 2 1/2 months now, I bought the mask, the little gel for hard to get rid of zits, and all the makeup that would "Help". For the first two weeks my skin was clearing up nice. Then, All of a sudden I had huge break outs for the next 3 weeks. It was so bad when I smiled my facehurt and I was so ashamed that I sat in my room for a week taking benadril and sleeping, watching TV, and washing my face. I had at least 5 huge systic acne pimples n each cheek, by my chin and all over my forhead. Now, I still keep getting pimple after pimple and now I have scars all down both sides of my face. I keep waking up in the morning hoping that clinique will start to help, but I've come to the conclusion it won't. This product was a waste of my time and money, and an extreem disapointment. The only thing it did for me was make my skin less blotchy, but I'd rather have blotchy skin then red scars all over my cheeks. It also left my skin extreemly dry, and now when i put on cover up all you can see is skin flaking which looks worse with my acne. I hate clinique, it ruined my skin. Be careful using this!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Severe rash from using it just once
Dries skin out severely
Too expensive for the result I got

I had used Clinique Acne solutions in the past and it worked great - they must have changed the formula. I bought this on Monday, used the three steps before bed Monday night. Tuesday morning my face felt a little dry and was red, as if I had a slight sunburn. As the day wore on, it got redder, felt tight and itchy and started to burn. Wednesday morning my face is very red, tight and itchy. This is worse than the reaction I got with Proactiv, which I used three times. With Proactiv I ended up in emergency after my eyes started to swell shut. I would not recommend this product if you have sensitive skin. The combination of salicylic acid in the cleanser and toner with the benzoyl peroxide in the moisturizer is a deal breaker for me. I will be asking for a full refund ASAP.
