Pros:

clear skin in 1 week
cleaned out pores
softened skin
tightened pores

Cons:

really dry for first week

for the record, I have never written a review on anything, but thought I should since I saw some negative reviews on these products. I'm 35 and have tried everything out there for my acne. After one week on this system, I am clear and very smooth!!! What I didn't realize, until I went for a facial, was that my pores were majorly clogged and that's why my skin was so rough and bumpy, even when I didn't have active breakouts. Facials were not working. I would be clear for a day, then rough and bumpy the next. This system cleaned out my pores in no time and the BP dried up my hormonal, cystic acne quick!! During the first 5-6 days, I did break out a lot. However, I think that my pores were clearing during this time. Now, i don't have a single pimple, and I actually have the confidence to go to the gym without makeup. I can't stop touching my face because it is so soft! now, yes, you will be very dry. I used the Moisture Surge moisturizer on top of the benzoyl peroxide moisturizer. The Moisture Surge is oil free and I loaded my face with it. You can also dab it on AFTER you put on makeup, to get rid of dry patches. It is a gel, not a cream, and it is AMAZING!!! I'm at 12 days right now, and the dryness is easing up. I think i went through a flaky phase in the beginning, similar to what a light peel would do. So, I am a firm believer in these products since I've tried everything and nothing has worked. You have got to give it the full 2 weeks as it says on the kit packaging, and use it twice a day. do not give up when your skin starts to break out more. Stick it out, and it will get better after your pores purge completely!! I can't believe that I finally love my skin after all of these years looking for a miracle!

Pros:

It really helped my acne

Cons:

Took 6 weeks to work, made my four head a little dry.

Overall this worked for my acne. At first my skin was very sensitive when I used it. I have been using it for 4 months now, and the past 2 months my skin has been better then ever. I usually I break out really bad during my period, and I haven't had one pimple. I used their moisturizer only on my problem areas like my chin, nose and right between my eye brows. The only bad thing about this product is that it leaves my forehead very dry, so I use my own moisturizer for my forehead and cheeks.

Not a fan of Clinique's acne solutions
I have been a loyal clinique makeup user since I was in high school. I never found the prices to be overwhelming and I liked the coverage. not only that, I think the customer service when you go into a big store, is great compared to some of the other companies (free makeup application etc!). So when I started to break out in my mid-30's, going with Clinique's solution was a no-brainer. Again, I didn't find the prices to be wholly unreasonable but this time, my beloved brand did let me down. The customer service was, as always top notch, but I have come to the conclusion that either they are more of a make-up brand than an acne brand or the customer service people who helped me, didn't know what they were talking about. Since I didn't know anything about acne, I went with what they recommended and boy do I regret it. What I thought was a bad breakout got worse. My entire face got red and blotchy and the pimples started popping up with even more of a vengeance. This is all bad enough but then when it comes to the products themselves, I can't say I loved them. The cleansing foam doesn't come out of the bottle very well and it seems like you need a lot to thoroughly wash your face which makes you need more product in a jiffy. I have come to learn that some of the things that I didn't like about this product weren't about the product itself but were due to the lack of communication from the company to me about what to expect. For example, the redness that I experienced was due to me having a sensitivity to benzoyl peroxide - something the person who sold it to me should have probably mentioned would be a possibility. Or when I called their customer support and asked what was going on. I only learned this because I called Pamela at Ninja Skincare and she walked me through not only what was going on with my skin prior to using Clinique but also why Clinique was having such a weird effect on my skin. I went with Ninja and haven't looked back. Am now enjoying the clearest skin since before my babies were born 3 years ago! I am giving it 2 stars because I still love me some Clinique makeup, but am sticking with makeup only from now on! I would not recommend their acne solutions products.

Pros:

Cleared my stubborn acne in about 2 weeks!!
Leaves skin soft
Controls Oil

Cons:

Slightly pricey
Drying at first

Amazing!! I'm sooo happy with this product. At first i was hesitant because I have tried proactiv, countless perscriptions, and every other acne kit out there so as a last resort when trying to cure acne given to me by Bare Minerals foundation I decided to give this a shot. The first few days I used this it dried out my skin and burned when I used it so I was ready to give up but about 4-5 days of continued use my skin became very soft and I started to notice a big difference (and so did my family!), now its only been 2 weeks but so far it's working amazingly, i'd highly reccomend it.

Pros:

Easy to use, see fast results -- within a week or two, great for sensitive skin, reduces redness on the face.

Cons:

Pricey...but sometimes you get a free gift with purchase. I did! ;)

I bought this product for my 15 year old son a couple of weeks ago and it has done wonders to his face. Everyday his acne is disappearing. My son's acne is around his chin, forehead and sideburns area of the cheeks. His acne was becoming severe. This product has stopped the acne from becoming worst. His face is not completely clear but his acne is now controlled! I was very skeptical about purchasing Clinique's products for my son because Clinique mainly targets women however I'm glad I did. My son has used many other different products and non have work as good as this one.

Pros:

Leaves skin feeling SO clean!
Adds a nice clean look to our face
Has cleared some of my pimples

Cons:

cleansing lotion (liquid used on cotton ball) can burn a little

I am 17 and my mom got me the clinique acne system including the foaming facial cleanser, clarifying lotion, and moiturizer. I have been using it since christmas day, it made me break out SO bad for the first week- week and a half. But now it is starting to clear up. I almost wanted to stop using it but when your trying to clear acne they always say its going to get WORSE before it gets better. So i continued using it morning and night. Right now I still have some pimples on my forhead and cheeks, but my skin has a glow to it! And is SO soft. And I can slowly but surely see the acne going away. If you have this product or want to give it a try I say go for it. Everyones skin type is different, talk to the girls at the counter they will help you pick out an acne system that will work for your skin type. I definetly recomend getting the moiturizer as well because the claryfying lotion can really dry out your skin, especially if your skin is prone to dryness like mine. Its not that expensive, just think youll spend as the MOST 50$ and it will last a couple months (2-3) depending on how much you use. And it WILL work just stick to it, you probably will break out during the first week but it will get better. Just give it time. I am only on my 3rd week and my skin is still in the process of clearing up. After using my face wash and clarifying lotion my face feels SO clean. This is a little gross but when you use the clarifying lotion and you sweep the cotton ball over ur face youll see the cotton ball isnt very clean, even after using the foaming cleanser! So I don't know if ill ever feel right just washing my face, knowing its still dirty no matter how much you use or how good you clean. I talk way to much! But definetly give this system a go! Its worth your money and very easy to talk to someone at the clinique counter about your skin and she will get you what you need!

Pros:

Cleared skin at first
The soap bar lasts for months
the moisturizer+bp works as spot treatment

Cons:

irritates skin
doesn't work for cystic acne
pricey

First I bought the starter kit and used the foam, which seemed to help, but in combination with the moisturizer+BP it was too harsh. It did clear my skin at first, but didn't help much with inflammation and some cysts i had under my jawline. I switched to the soap bar and it's much better. i just started treatment with a dermatologist and she approved i continue using the soap with the prescriptions she sent me, so i guess it's ok!

Pros:

Clears acne and simple blemishes in a reasonable amount of time
Normalizes skin tone
Quality Product

Cons:

Very Pricey
Must incorporate other Clinique products with the Acne Solutions line for it to work

Works good if you use it consistently. For starters I have very oily skin, especially my cheek and forehead areas. I purchased my Clinique products a month a ago, and they have cleared up my acne alot. I am still working on eliminating the dark spots on my cheeks, chin, and forehead. They were very very dark at the start of using Clinique, and now they have lightened up just a little bit, but not completely. My skintone seems to also be evening out thorughout the process. Here is my weekly skincare routine. Hopefully it helps someone else. Products I'm using Clinique Acne Solutions Cleanser Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion Clinique SPF 50 Sunscreen Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector Clinique Super Exfoliating Scrub For Mornings I use: Cleanser Clarifying Lotion Sunscreen Dark Spot Corrector (Must use with a Sunscreen to prevent future dark spots) For Nights I use: Cleanser Clarifying Lotion Moisturizing Gel Dark Spot Corrector Weekends I use: Cleanser Exfoliating Scrub Moisturing Gel Dark Spot Corrector VERY IMPORTANT: One thing for people using the dark spot corrector. If you use it with a sunscreen, eventually you will no longer need it. Because it will help to clear up your current dark spots, and then you will only need the sunscreen by itself. So the corrector is temporary but the sunscreen is permanent.
