Pros:

Leaves skin feeling SO clean!
Adds a nice clean look to our face
Has cleared some of my pimples

Cons:

cleansing lotion (liquid used on cotton ball) can burn a little

I am 17 and my mom got me the clinique acne system including the foaming facial cleanser, clarifying lotion, and moiturizer. I have been using it since christmas day, it made me break out SO bad for the first week- week and a half. But now it is starting to clear up. I almost wanted to stop using it but when your trying to clear acne they always say its going to get WORSE before it gets better. So i continued using it morning and night. Right now I still have some pimples on my forhead and cheeks, but my skin has a glow to it! And is SO soft. And I can slowly but surely see the acne going away. If you have this product or want to give it a try I say go for it. Everyones skin type is different, talk to the girls at the counter they will help you pick out an acne system that will work for your skin type. I definetly recomend getting the moiturizer as well because the claryfying lotion can really dry out your skin, especially if your skin is prone to dryness like mine. Its not that expensive, just think youll spend as the MOST 50$ and it will last a couple months (2-3) depending on how much you use. And it WILL work just stick to it, you probably will break out during the first week but it will get better. Just give it time. I am only on my 3rd week and my skin is still in the process of clearing up. After using my face wash and clarifying lotion my face feels SO clean. This is a little gross but when you use the clarifying lotion and you sweep the cotton ball over ur face youll see the cotton ball isnt very clean, even after using the foaming cleanser! So I don't know if ill ever feel right just washing my face, knowing its still dirty no matter how much you use or how good you clean. I talk way to much! But definetly give this system a go! Its worth your money and very easy to talk to someone at the clinique counter about your skin and she will get you what you need!

Pros:

-Excellent acne treatment system, using the main components of acne care with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide
-Fantastic when used as a system
-Great tingle feeling after using this product
-If used properly, results seen quickly

Cons:

-Ineffective if not used properly or as directed

First thing you need to understand about acne is that everyone has different skin. Sometimes one like Neutrogena works. Sometimes people need to buy the expensive stuff to get results. I've had acne since I was in the fourth grade. I tried everything from proactive to dermatologist oral and topical medications. When I was about 12, my Aunt gave me clinique. At the time, it didn't work for my face. When I came back to it when I was 18 and in college, it cleared up my face a lot! If I would have just stopped using make up everyday, I would have a clean and clear face now. But that's my bad decision. I have acne all over my face, neck, chest, and shoulders. I went off of clinique for 2 years, because I had a baby (no salicylic acid while pregnant) and I have now returned. If you have bad acne, I would suggest getting the bar soap-not the foaming cleanser. If it dries you out, then use the foaming cleanser. I also suggest another product: clinique's blemish spot treatment. If you use this properly it will help target those particularly RUDE pimples. It gives you a nice tingle afterward! For the complete full system (not the starter kit, but the actual full-sized bottles and tubes) I paid $92 with tax at Macy's. But that was for that was for the 3-step kit, acne bar and blemish spot treatment. This tends to be a 4-6mo supply depending on how much you use. A little bit goes a LONG way with this stuff! So a monthly average is about $25-$30. NOTE: When you use clinique and you feel that tingle-that means the medicine is WORKING! Don't give up on this product! I have gone through many products when I was a teenager just because I was too impatient to let it really work on my skin. I suggest you use it for at least 2-3 months before really giving up on it. If your skin easily gets dry, then DON'T use this product. Go to [link removed] and take the test. BE HONEST! And you'll find out if this package really is right for yo

Pros:

Non-drying. Easy to use. Does not smell weird.

Cons:

Expensive and takes 3 months to fully work though I saw some results within days.

If you are patient, it does work. I use these products religiously twice a day everyday - no exceptions! Every month, around my ovulation and period, I get 1-2 almost pimples but they never fully materialize and they are gone within 2-3 days. I'm happy I stuck with this product. It's the first I found that works for me and I think it is because it combines salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Most lines are one or the other and that did not seem to work for me. Good luck on your quest to be acne free!

Pros:

clears up acne

Cons:

price, but worth it

This product is great for us! My 13 year old was prescribed Differin Gel from her dermatologist, her face broke out severely (IB), was swollen, burned and was red. Called dermatologist, he asked to reduce treatment to 3 times a week. Well, my daughter refused to put it on her face again, she was so depressed b/c of the way her face looked. I went out and purchased Clinique Acne Solutions 3 step system for her and honestly, within 3 days, her face was noticeable clearer. Here we are 2 weeks into it and there is a huge difference in her skin. The only thing I would recommed would be to purchase the Cleansing bar instead of the Foam cleaner, due to the soap will last longer. Also, you must use a moisturizer as it does dry out skin. These are small cons to us due to the results she has gotten.

Pros:

- Works fast
- Gentle
- Evens skin tone
- Clears redness
- Shrinks Pores

Cons:

- If you don't use all three steps it doesn't work

This product is by far the best I have ever used. It cleared my acne after years of trying different products. Not only does it clear my acne but it heals my skin so that I won't have such severe breakouts. I recommend this product to anyone who has stubborn acne that just won't seem to go away.

Pros:

It works! This product is a dream for adult acne.

I developed cystic acne around my mouth and chin at 24, two years ago. I constantly had three-six large cysts - before one would disappear another would come up in almost the very same spot. I went on Diane 35 to combat the acne and began using prescription benzoyl peroxide creams. Diane 35 reduced the size and number of the cysts, but I still broke out. I went off the Diane 35 and looked for other solutions. To my amazement, since I began using Clinique my skin has completely cleared! It looks better now than that of my non-acne prone friends. My scars are finally healing and I feel confident enough to go out without makeup on! It is important to use all three steps. I apply the acne solutions mosturizer only to those areas that are prone to breakouts. This helps to reduce the cost of the product too. At first my skin was too dry, but I spoke to the Clinique rep and they recommended that I use the dramatically different moisturizing gel on top of the acne solutions mosturizer if I was drying out. Since my skin is now totally clear, I use this all over my face twice every day as a fourth step. While my breakouts were still disappearing, I used the it only as needed to prevent dryness. I think the price is a small one to pay for great skin! If you wait until Clinique bonus time to stock up, you get lots of free makeup. Clinique is also great about returns and stands by their products, so if this doesn't work for you, you can take it back. One final thing: I like the soap bar a lot more than the foaming cleanser. It does a better job of taking off my makeup, it's cheaper and it lasts longer too. I've been using my current bar for six months and I've still got another month or two to go.

Pros:

-clears acne quickly
-helps control oil and shine
-reduces redness and blemishes
-evens out skin tone

Cons:

-dries out skin so extra moisturizing lotion is necessary

I used pro-active for years and wanted to try a new product to help control my acne. My acne is not terrible; however, since high school I've struggled with a reasonable amount of acne. I was a little apprehensive to try something new, since my skin had adjusted to pro-active. After trying several different brands and having no success, I opted for Clinique Acne Solutions. Within 3 days, my face had already cleared and I was receiving many compliments. I'm very happy with the way my face looks now and I will continue using Acne Solutions. The benzol peroxide in the moisturizer is a little drying, although I use Clinique Age Defernce after to keep my skin hydrated. Great product and I highly recommend to those of you who struggle with adult acne!

Pros:

- reduces oiliness
- reduces redness
- peels dead layers of skin
- washes off make-up completely

Cons:

- expensive
- requires patience to work

I've only seen results after 9 weeks of using this product.have spent a fortune thus far but I've just started to see my cystic acne clear up. I was just about to stop using Clinique,bt jst like the lady at the counter said "be patient".I love this product and don't see myself using anything else. It's not a mgic potion, your hormones also play a huge role in acne, especially with me being 24 and suffering since I was 18.It does get much worse before it starts to get better, you just need to hang in there. Think of it as an investment in your skin, you have to live with your face for the rest of your life, make the sacrifice and get Clinique!

Pros:

Really works
Doesn't dry out my skin as it was when first using it

Cons:

Price
Really dry you out when first using it

I had acne for about two years. I have oily skin I tried many kinds of acne treatment, but none of them work. Not at all. Then I found out about Clinique acne solution, I decided to give it a try. When I first used it, it dry out my skin really bad, but after about a week, I get used to it, it helps control the oil but doesn't dry me out. I just bought the third one. I love the product. Everyone start telling me that my face is getting better now. I'm SO happy with the result. Beside all that, the price is expensive Bc it only for a month. Other than that, I totally recommend this product

Pros:

Really Works! Clears and softens skin.

Cons:

will leave skin dry, but can fix with other clinque products.

This stuff is FABULOUS!. I developed acne after having my first child at 23 and it got worse when I had my second at 25. I have tried Proactive, Dr. Murads, Nuetragena, and everything else the world offers. Like other I was skeptical, but the lady at Sephora said to try the 30 day and I could bring it back if I didnt like it. I am glad I did, because this is the clearest my skin has been in years. I did notice the drying so I stopped and talked with one of the reps at Dillards and she had me try the #2 lotion (its yellow). I use that everymorning under my makeup and only put it on my neck at night. She also told me about the acne spot treatment. You put a tiny dot on a Qtip and put it on any zits you feel are about to appear and it zaps 99% of them away. I was so happy with these I went and got the dark spot correcting serum for my scars and "historical acne" marks, this stuff is great too! I have been using that for the last 3 weeks and my husband asked me the other day what I was using, because I looked like the old me without any makeup on. Needless to say I am now a clinque girl! It has completely cleared my acne and my completion is smoothing out with the Even Better formula!. I recommend this to anyone with acne issue. Its definitely worth a try and most places will take it back if it doesnt work out for you.
