Pros:

THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! It reduced redness after one application!

Cons:

It might look weird to apply it in the morning, or with makeup it would be difficult. (Idk, I don't wear makeup as a guy.)

One of the best spot treatments out there!

Pros:

I started using Acnomel 40 years ago when it was in a compac-type container and available everywhere in the USA. It is the very best acne product ever made.. I don't have acne now, but facial shingles - it is keeping control of the blisters!!

Cons:

Availability of product in USA, and I preferred the old formula that was in the compac container, but have understood that there was an ingredient that the FDA prohibited which has since been removed... A lighter shade would be less obvious for day.

Acnomel is the best - I used it consistently for years, until one of my children insisted I dispose of the compac because I'd had that one for 20+ years and she was concerned about contamination (not a sensible argument, but I relented) Then several years ago, my skin started breaking out again (not great at 50-years of age), we were in Nelson on vacation, I found Acnomel in a tube in the drug store and my skin problems were resolve before I returned home. When I broke out with shingles on my neck and face last year, after using assorted RX creams, I got out the old tube of Acnomel and "Voila" the blisters dried up immediately. I still get a few blisters in moments of stress, use acnomel at night (and during the day if not going out) and the shingles blisters are under control. I'm in my 60's and I'm thankful the product is available.

Pros:

I am almost 30 and have been suffering with acne sine 12. I have LITERALLY tried everything. This cleared me up in two days and my skin has never been smoother.

Cons:

Nothing. The smell is not that bad and is goes away in less than an hour.

I cannot believe I have not heard of sulfur for acne until recently. This product is great! I would recommend it to anyone who has pustule, inflammed, whitehead acne. I am waiting on my Grandpa's Thylox soap so that I can get rid of all other BP and acid products!

Pros:

This is the best adult acne porduct I've used. I have spent about $800.00 at a local skin care center to get my acne to clear, with little results. I've used this for the past 4 days and my skin is almost clear. It cost $10.99 at rite-aid!

Cons:

NONE!!!!!

I wish I knew this before I spent so much money trying other products!

Pros:

Works better anything I have been using it for 20+ years.

Cons:

Very hard to find! Why are the best products always discontinued or hard find?

I wish it was more readily available.

Cons:

It can be drying at times so it's really important to use a good moistourizer.

I have used saliclyic acid and benzol peroxide, only to find that it dries my skin and makes it flake but acnomel has been AMAZING. The first day I used it, I could see an improvement (it wasn't drastic, but it was there). If you have sensitive skin, this is a great product..doesn't sting or burn.

Pros:

It is great and cheap.

Cons:

None--just lucky to have found it.

I am 45 and had adult acne and rosacea for about 10 years--I have tried everything--all the expensive MD stuff. I found this by accident--and it is the best thing I've ever used. My 19 year old uses it for her (pretty bad) acne and also loves it. Plus its cheap!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

I used Acnomel cake as a teenager inthe 70's and it was excellent! Dried up pimples overnight. I still had some left that my teenage daughter tried and she said it worked best of anything.

Cons:

I wish they still made the cake form. It worked far better than the tube I can now order from Safeway pharmacy.

Please bring back the cake! You'll have a huge market for it!!

Pros:

Gave me my life back in combination with proactiv cleanser and lotion then use Acnomel.

Cons:

I wish I had found this sooner.

I spent hundreds of dollars on acne products from prescription to drug store including Differin gel which did nothing for me. This product is even better than persa gel which was my go to acne product. It definitely is less irritating and drying still getting the job done. I wear 0 makeup now! YAY!
