Pros:

the Lotion is nice and the face wash used to give my face that fresh feeling however it doesn't anymore...even skin tone now after stop of constant use for about a month or two.

Cons:

it stings, makes more come up, reddens face, thins my skin.

not worth it for those with thin skin or sensive skin like they claim. i used to use the whole three steps everyday till i couldn't stand the fact that i looked like a tomato and used the face wash only at night, but then the exfoliating thing really isn't making any pimples go away or anything i still break out a lot so i don't think it's worth it on my skin. I've been using this since April 2007!

Pros:

worked in the beginning. Cleanser feels good. Doesnt over dry skin.

Cons:

Made sides of my face breakout. Made acne form under the skin and didnt get rid of blackheads.

I recommend only using the cleanser. I have had great success with just it. I also recommend drinking lots of water, using a honey mask, and also using the egg white mask. Cleared my skin quickly!

Pros:

Eventually it cleared up my mild acne, and the 30 day supply has actually lasted for months. It dried out my skin and caused a few eruptions in the first week, but after continued use it worked.

Cons:

My friend (who started using it at the same time) and I agreed that it made our skin look gray, dull, and lifeless even if it was relatively acne-free. So it won't provide "glowing" skin, but it does seem to clear up little blackheads.

You really only need the acne gel to get the results, so you don't have to buy the whole kit. I found the cleanser too harsh so I stuck with my own Spectrogel, and the mask is equal to any clay-based mask. The moisturizer is ok, but the tube is too small compared to the other products in the kit and it smells weird (a little like parsley and lemon). You have to ride out the initial dry skin and breakout phase - by the end of the second week I definitely saw results. Six months later, I now use only the gel every other day to keep my skin clear.

Pros:

Nice Smell and the Moisturizer works

Cons:

Ineffective for treating acne
Costly
Noticed more breakouts and oily skin

I started to get bad acne about four months ago. I started my treatment as most of us believe is the best (but is actually the opposite) with proactiv. I stopped it because I couldn't see any improvements in my condition and was paying for a useless product. I started murad's acne complex kit, I must say it really worked well during the first week after I had started using it. But then again I could see more breakouts, redness and my face always looking oily. I continued using it for three weeks and finally decided to stop as it was also a waste like proactiv for me. My aunt advised me to give Clear Pores a try and believe me, I can say that I'm almost acne free with not much visible red marks and my skin looks at its best. So from my personal experience Murad acne complex is NOT RECOMMENDED.

Pros:

The lotion was nice and it smells alright.

Cons:

The gel was horrible. I would never trust another alpha-hydroxy product because of what murad did. It drys up the skin badly and I think the use of the spot on treatment right after which contains sulfer irritates the skin alot more.

Do Not use it...I got it for free and decided to use it... I had mild acne and it did not really bother me even when people would point it out... However this product made me feel bad about my skin, I never had pimple on my neck and chin before this and that was the biggest let down. Other then those it did not cure the rest of my face at all, although it did not make it as bad as my neck. Anywho do not use

Pros:

None

Cons:

Lotion is greasy

This product is total CRAPPP! such a gimic. I used Proactiv before and it cleared my skin id say about 90%. I seen the infomercial for Murad and thought that maybe Murad would be a better choice thinking it would work better than Proactiv. This was a huge I repeat HUGE mistake. At first It made my skin break out in little little bumps. I thought that the product was just working into my skin but then after a week of using it it made my little breakouts HUGE that seem take forever to heal alot longer than usual. I've been using this product for 6 weeks thinking that it just needs more time but I keep getting breakouts and a lot are in the same places that i've already had them. It should be healing them not causing more and more breakouts in the same place every week.. im definatly giving up now i've been noticing that this product is causing more damage to my skin than any other product i've ever used before.. I'm switching most likely back to Proactiv or go to a Dermatologist now.

Pros:

Easily fits into most trash bins.

Cons:

Expensive bottle of crap.

I really wish I would have seen these reviews before I bought this! I'm 25 and have breaking out for as long as I can remember. Initially I bought Murad thinking that it would help a recent string of bad breakouts. I only used the cleanser and the gel which came in the starter kit. After 6 weeks of using this stuff twice a day, I've seen no results. My acne continued to get worse and worse to the point where they are getting larger and more painful. I have a natural, tan complection and the scars are wreaking havoc on my poor face. I'm so glad I didn't pay that much for it.

Pros:

I love the mask that comes with the kit.

Cons:

Made my skin worse!

Do not use this! When I first started to develop acne, I used the products that I found in retail stores (Neutrogena, ect). When that didn't work, I used Proactiv and it worked for a little while, but then it just stopped clearing up my skin. After Proactiv, I got the Murad Acne Complex, and this has made my skin so awful. I am having breakouts where I never had them before. My pimples are redder and bigger than they've ever been, and my skin hasn't been clear since the moment I started using it. It's a waste of time and money and now my skin is so bad that I have to go to a dermatologist!

Pros:

its a great daily facial wash ..thats it,, not for acne
it never dried my skin or makde it oily

Cons:

its costs alot and if you dont cancel your memberhsip they will keep sending you the whole kit every month!

MURAD made me break out more, i know how everyone says you break out when you first start using a product, its part of the healing process, but i have been using it religiously for 3 months and my face actually got worse. If you dont have acne, then i recommend it for a gently daily use facial wash. It smells great.

Pros:

Initially very good. Not a cure for my acne but certainly the best I've tried. The best thing about it is the way it leaves my skin feeling really clean & unclogged.

Cons:

I have fair, sensitive skin and I have to use Murad very carefully, otherwise it dries-up and burns my skin. Recently I have had very nasty breakouts - most likely caused by Murad.

After several months of use I can say this stuff definitely works but it has not completely cleared my acne, probably because there is no way I can use as per the instructions. I use it now about twice every fourteen days, any more than that and it burns my skin, and recently has caused some really, really bad breakouts - spots that look terrible & take literally weeks to clear up. I don't think these spots are 'purging' but seem to be a nasty reaction of some kind. My advice is try it - but be careful.
