Pros:

Cleared breakouts very quickly

Cons:

Burning, redness, sensitivity to sunlight, flaking, dryness, etc...

I don't have what I consider "sensitive" skin and I've used Proactiv and many other acne products in the past with minimal issues. But after using this kit for 2 days (and not putting the product on my eyes), I woke up with my eyelids practically swollen shut. They were thick and wrinkly and droopy. I had to ice them to reduce the swelling. Also, the skin under my eyes and around my mouth and on my cheeks was so red and dry. I stopped using the kit that day. In the days that followed, my skin got even drier and began to peel and flake even with a moisturizer and anything that touched it (moisturizer, plain cleanser, baby wipe, etc) burned like crazy!! Then when I went jogging with my face slathered in sunscreen, it burned so badly I had to stop and pour cold water on my face to calm it. After 2 days of this, I had to see a dermatologist who explained that the product worked by drying out the skin so that no bacteria could survive...hence no acne. The process makes skin extremely sensitive to sunlight. He prescribed an ointment twice a day to calm the skin and told me to wear SPF 30 at all times and a hat when outside longer than a few minutes. Moral is...BE CAREFUL! Pay attention to how this works and protect your skin from the sun.

Pros:

Reduced blackheads?

Cons:

Made my skin feel weird--probably dry

I got this at Costco, thinking why not. I should say that I've only used it 3 times, but those 3 times were enough for me to not want to use it anymore. I have fair skin, so I did one application, at night. Things were okay. No acne reduction (I had 2 cysts calming down and another just starting to flare), but maybe some blackhead reduction. I thought that maybe I could up the doseage to twice a day, as is recommended. I used it the next morning and evening, and noticed that the texture of my skin felt different. Before, the spots on my face that didn't have acne felt like the rest of me. Now it felt rough. And my cheeks were...shall we say, "rosy," which had never happened before (I don't really have sensitive skin). I've been off it a couple days now, but my skin still doesn't feel normal. This might work best on people who have acne all over your face, instead of in just one area. It didn't do much for me.

Pros:

None

Cons:

After about two days of using this I got a severe skin rash all over my face. I even bought the product for sensitive skin. I would not recommend this for anyone.

This product is harmful to your face and skin.

Pros:

not a lot...cheaper than proactive?

Cons:

it did not clear up my skin AT ALL. it dries your skin out because the toner has a lot of alcohol in it which i think has just irritated my skin. it did not clear up existing pimples or prevent new ones from coming up.

Not worth the money. Doesn't work worth sh*t.

Pros:

The repair lotion is OK as a spot treatment

Cons:

Terribly drying
Made me breakout
Extreme burned skin

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this system. I have been struggling with adult onset acne (nodules, cysts, pustules) for about 5 years (I'm almost 30). Around Christmas, my skin was just getting worse and worse. It was so bad I refused to leave the house - not even heavy make-up helped. I have done prescription medications, antibiotics, etc... I can now add this system to the list of "Didn't Work". I have very sensitive skin and purchased the sensitive skin kit. I used it morning and evening and stayed true to the exact instructions. My skin became so swollen, red and inflamed right away. Thinking my skin would adjust, I stayed on this system for 4 weeks until I just had to stop - the breakouts were getting progressively worse as each day passed. I rinsed the cleanser off in the shower one day and inadvertently let some drip on my neck - it literally burned the skin on my neck. When i started this system, I was really hoping I would be writing a review about how this product changed my life. But, if anything, it made my skin much, much worse. I have since started using the Skinceuticals line on the recommendation of a friend who is a Dermatology P.A. - It's amazing. I think sensitive, adult skin just has much different needs.

Cons:

Not cheaper than anything when you have to buy new sheets and towels!!

This stuff has so much Benzol Peroxide in it that it completely ruined my colored towels and sheets on the bed (bleached spots on them). Both the cleanser (which you obviously wash off of your face) and the lotion have this. So towels in morning and sheets at night...all ruined!! Not cool!

Pros:

makes skin feel clean
comes with repair lotion which helped moisturize

Cons:

expensive
I still broke out

I used it for about a month or a little less and I saw no improvement. It didn't stop any breakouts. On the box, they say the repair lotion really works and that it kills 99% bacteria and sebum. But it just made my face become and feel oily.
